I got the Diablo and sveroboy. Wish I had the whole set.
Who is selling these now?
Thanks for watching
Russian molds and nearly impossible to get these days. Keep your eyes on eBay and FB marketplace.
Great show 😃 One of my favorite shot sizes ✝️🇺🇸🙂🙂🙂🙂
Bingo chips are way less expensive than bpi's clear overshot cards..... im guessing bingo chips are just as good right?
How many shells in a Mossberg 930?
Thanks for watching. I never tried them through my 930 so I can't give you a good answer. Only tried them through my pumps. 870 was a no/go had a few jams in my Winchester they ran flawless through the Mossberg 500
Why do you remove the pedals?
So the hull won't bulge from the shot. Thanks for watching
Dang Great video Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😃 Watched the whole thing!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Love the bingo card hack LOL
Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
I loaded a couple 7/8 oz lee slugs to a 2" shell worked awesome less recoil and more slugs in the tube
Would be great to know where you get load data for these, don't mind buying longshot, have my lee molded 00 ready with federal gold medals and cheddites....none in the lyman book I see, which BP book is best for these? The buckshot one or reloading brass one?
Thanks for watching. You can find the data in Ballistic Products buckshot manual.
You said this was Ballistic Products data but I cannot seem to find it in the archived files. What was the date on it or send a link to the file.
Which is easier to cast, the 7/8 Oz Lee Key Drive Slug or these .690 round balls?
I prefer the .690RB over the key drive slug. The floating core wears out fast at least it did on mine. No need to worry about that with the .690RB. and yes it's easier. Thanks for watching and have a great day.
Got off work a lil early this morning. Decided to go see if anybody had left some hulls at the Dept.Wildlife Cinservation range. Only found 4. Found about 10lbs of scrap in the run-off washed from the rains we've had lately though. 👍
After getting my 1st 12ga recently (Mossberg Maverick), this is why I've been toying with getting into reloading. To be able to cut down my once shot (and others I pick up) hull & reload into minis just for fun.
Awesome choice
How many Gr of Longshot was you using and what's the fps
Thanks for watching. I used 29g of LS around 1400fps
Hey brother what screw are you using?
A clear, informative and enjoyable watch! fantastic work!
Thanks for watching and have a great day
Hi there, great videos that are intersting and educational, may you long contine! Can you possibly let me know the amount of longshot used in these short shells, as from the UK Ballistic products cannot supply me with either a manual or even a download at this time. Your assistance would vbe greatly recived from someone in a repressive and subpressed area of the supposed free world. Keep on Keeping on brother! Regards Keith
Good day and thanks for watching. I used 29 grains of Longshot for that load
Can you load regular 7 1/2 or 8 shot with these 2 inchers? And what pattern would they have? Thank you.
And to which purpose? Fit more in the magazine?. Don't take me wrong, have loaded shells since the 1970's. A 2" shell outperforms a Std 2 3/4", Extra work. Never mind, if it can be done , why not
You were using longshot. What gr ?
Thanks for watching Tony. Fiocchi hull and primer with 29gr of LS
Ok. Thank you
Do you recommend a low recoil Measurement
Lowest measurement I have gone with long shot is 27 gr
That's a epic boom stick. Nice build.
Thanks for watching and subscribing. Have a great day Pat.
Would like to see this with brass made rounds.
I know this post is 2yrs old, but did you not need to resize the once fired hulls?
Thanks for watching. Yes all hulls were resized.
Not a very good video
I have got to get into reloading i shoot so much shot guns for sport shooting
Thanks for watching. Have a great day
Awsome, thanks
Thanks for watching Frank. Have a great day.
Do you have a link for the hull trimmer or is it home made? great video!
Thanks for watching John. You can order it from Ballistic Products.
thanks. I think it will work on cut shells, as well.@@12galife
Good to see. Almost therapeutic. Impressiv shot picture from home loads. And good to see the first video on your playlist. Never trust ppl behind desks to administrate ppl's life
Thanks for watching. Have a great day
I've been loading 690 ball for a few years now per Ballistic Products data with Herco. Got an auction coming up with a couple rifled slug guns I'm trying for, your vidio convinced me to try for them. In a smoothbore the 690 has been shearing the petals off in some vidios, has your Federal wad loads had any signs of shearing the petals? I don't hunt, just like experimenting for fun.
Thanks for watching Jeff. I haven't noticed that condition. I will check next time I have a chance to get the range.
I like to trim to 2½" and put a ¼" wad, so the loaded length is about 2". The 1¾" tend to jam if I single load through the ejection port.
Thanks for watching Sam.
Are the bingo chips 7/8th and you said the 2 inch worked in Mossberg.I have a model 500.Thanks
Good day Amber thanks for watching. The bingo chips are 3/4 inch. They cycle great in a Mossberg 500. Have a great day.
An actual length on the cut down hull would have been nice. You’ve made a nice, long video with no actual data. Just time wastage.
Thanks for watching. Read the title at the start of the video it will read 2 inch shells and I also say it in the opening line of the video. Have a great day.
@@12galife yes you did and crimped down to 12 3/4 " . my store bought are 1 3/4 and crimped to 1 1/2 "
You think if loaded length with 8pt crimp was 2-2.25” they’d feed in a Remington 870? It’ll run 1.75” but you can’t go fast, it’ll jam. It’d be nice to get 9 shells in my tactical
Thanks for watching Nate. I tried running them through both my 870's no luck. They run great though the Mossberg's though. Have a great day
I missed it in the blasties somewhere in the video I guess. What are the velocities on this load
Thanks for watching. I never ran any over the chrony myself but data states 1420fps. Have a great day.
Very cool!!
Thanks for watching.
How many grain of longshot
Thanks for watching Tony. I think it was 29gr. I will have to check my data book to confirm. I let you know in the morning
Data calls for 30gr LS
Interesting Posted a year ago. At auction i just pick up a Mec 600 JR, with 12 & 410 Dies With it a 55 & 30 gallon barrel full hulls, 6 + bricks of Primers, 1000 each and 3Lb Bullseye, 3Lbs Red-dot & 4lbs of Unique My First question what's the TRIM to length of the these short shells so they can be re-Crimped to two inches ? My Next question Can the three Powders, Bullseye, Red-dot & Unique be used to reload short 12 Ga, 00 Pellets & Next what shotgun re-loader's manual would you recommend, for 12 Ga, 00 Pellets Any & All help would be Greatly Appreciated Thank you Chris. Salem Or
Thanks for watching. I cut my short shells down to two inches and use a roll crimp. I have never tried a fold crimp on a short shell so I can't really answer that. For your powders i have only used Unique for slugs. And For load data books get as many as you can find. Lymans 5th, Ballistic products, and one of my go to books is called The Complete Reloading Manual for the 12 Gauge Shotshell. Its a little blue book with data from powder manufactures, RCBS and Lyman. Found mine at Cabalas for a good price. Also lots of free data online. If your new to reloading please use caution and always follow published load data for your safety. Please check out Buck and Slug Reloaders on FB its a great group to learn from. Have a great day.
Dang! You ain’t kidding bad day!
Thanks for watching
Nice load ! Can you put buffer on it ?
Good day and thanks for watching. It is not recommended. Always use published load data to stay safe and healthy.
Thanks for your knowledge and safety 👍 be safe and good shooting .💪👍
Shit hot man..! The botflies/zveroboy slugs are mean
Thanks for watching
Great Video , do you get any uneven cutting on the second pass . My first cut is good but the second never comes out a even .
Thanks for watching. No trouble with the second cut
How many grains of Longshot do you use?
Thanks for watching. The data calls for 30 grains of LS if I remember right I took it down to 29 grains.
Are Martys buckshot molds better than lees precision buckshot molds?
Thanks for watching. Both molds have their pros and cons. With the Marty's mold I get a better fill out and better quality pellets but have more sprue material and the mold has short handles. With the Lee I can make more faster but don't get 100% fill out on every pour and way less sprue material. On the Marty's removing the pellet from the sprue you need a good pair of clippers on the Lee you remove the sprue with the sprue plate on the mold and separate the pellets with a razor blade. Lees are a bit cheaper than Marty's but both mold are a lot of work to make buck. If I had to choose I would pick Marty's for the better pellets
@@12galife Thank you for your rapid and detailed response, much appreciated. Do you polish your shot through a rock tumbler after the casting process?
@@ClarkesonTheMarksman yep in the rock tumbler for 10-12 hrs
I like them better and I have both
@@12galife fricken awesome. Do you fill the tumbler up with any medium to help polish the shot? Thank you for your help/knowledge. Things are abit limited over here in the UK :)
What press are you using
Thanks for watching Lucas. All my presses are MEC. I started with a 600 Jr and now I have a couple of Size Masters.
How does a load like this work with a rifled choke? I’m looking at stuffing the .685 balls for my musket down into a 12 gauge shot cup and shooting it through a rifled choke on my cheap single barrel survival gun.
Good day Seth and thanks for watching. I haven't tried this load through a rifled choke so I don't have a good answer for you. All I can say is it works great through a fully rifled barrel and not to bad through a smoothbore.
@@12galife I can’t imagine I could go wrong then. I’ll give it a shot and let you know. They make a tool to cut the middle of a star crimp out of a shell that people use to re-cast cheap bird shot into slugs.
Stay safe and happy reloading.
Great Video, What type of lube are you using?
The buckshot was tumbled for 10-12 hours with a bit of graphite powder. Thanks for watching
@@12galife Lube on the roll
Vaseline or a little gun oil. Thanks for watching.
Damn good !!! Ridiculous accuracy
Thanks for watching
Damn that crimps perfect
Hey bud, I'm just trying for smooth bores. This a good load?
As long as it's cylinder bore you should have no problem.
I've now watched this video 14 times
