    Hi! The fact that the sound has become quieter is understandable, but what about cooling? Were the CPU temperatures lower before the upgrade or after?

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So the cpu cooling doesn’t make much of a difference with this mod. The reason being is this is only replacing the front fan and adding another. With the cpu being liquid cooled already, it’s not going to change that. They only thing you could do to improve the cpu cooling is to do the push pull mod with 2 fans on the liquid cooler and that will improve the temp a little bit honestly it won’t make a dramatic change. The highest I have seen my temp get to is 80 and that’s without the radiator fan spinning up full throttle. These 2 front fan mods did improve sound quality and also allowed more site to the mobo, ram, and ssd.

  • @kiteflying9317
    @kiteflying9317 ปีที่แล้ว

    yea that boss is pretty rough if it is your first time or not familiar with his attack patterns. I believe it is easier for melee than range since the melee can dash behind the boss or to the side to dodge the AOE attacks.

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea and I was playing necro with the summoner build and it was almost impossible to keep minions up during that fight because they kept getting deleted fast, once I went and got a couple more legendaries and some aspects it wasn’t as bad but still pretty difficult as range, when the fixed the skeletons health it wasn’t bad in dungeons but I think with better builds and having ults up it will be a cake walk

    I agree with you 100% about the ray tracing and just doing the setting manually yourself. Seems Nvidia wants to force you to use their tech(Ray tracing) even though it effects FPS in a negative way. RT makes you lose a lot of FPS in game and really does not do that much to make it look better.

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea it will definitely decrease fps and put a lot of strain on your graphics card. I don’t recommend using at all. You won’t even notice much of a difference, atleast I never have lol.

    Alienware gaming pcs get a lot of hate but I just don't see it man. I like them. EDIT: You can't switch out parts in the R14?

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

      I run a R10 and i love it. the only thing i hate is the bloatware and support assist but after i got rid of all that it runs fine. i have a 5900 and rtx 3060ti liquid cooled and it doesnt go above 70 under full load. I added the additional fan to the front as well and that also helped with temps. The only thing i was saying is dont over pay on a R14 with the same specs as a R10 by 1500 to 2000 dollars. Your buying the "Cryo" freeze stuff which we all know is just a ploy. If you have parts that are better in an older pc just put those into a R14 if thats the way you want to go. Buy the cheapest one you can and upgrade on your own terms but dont over pay on a system like that. my R10 has the exact same specs and a 100w PSU instead of a 750 and they wanted 2k more. Just do your research and make sure you know what you are buying. Make sure you have a liquid cooled CPU and enough ram/ voltage to run everything and you will be fine.

      @97Crazysteve ปีที่แล้ว

      They look cool and that's just about it. Go watch the Gamer's Nexus teardown video of an R13. A $5,000 computer built in an ancient chassis, loaded with proprietary Dell hardware that can't be reused in another system (bizarre form factors, such as their repurposed server power supplies), loads of bloatware that use a considerable amount of your CPU and even GPU while idle, and poor construction in general. It's an ancient chassis crammed full of modern hardware wrapped in copious amounts of cheap plastic. The only thing Dell has impressed me with is their ability to consistently make their products worse. They could put an i9 processor in one of these plastic-fantastic sarcophagi and have it perform like an i7, just with how poorly built they are. Your components need to be able to breathe, and there's almost zero intake here, same with my old R9.

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@97Crazysteve I agree with you on the chassis and the cooling issue in general. I understand Gamer's Nexus did the teardown with the R13 and there was a lot of things that opened my eyes up. I AM NOT defending Dell whatsoever for that dumpster fire, but there are a couple of things about that video that I will point out. First, that R13 was air cooled and not liquid cooled so of course right off the jump it's going to have a lot of issues. Fan noise, cooling, etc. Second, Dell should NEVER offer a Pre-Built that is air cooled with those types of components. That CPU cannot handle that all that power without it overheating. Intel has problems with their chips running at extremely high temps, so that's on Dell. Do Not offer a PC that cant even handle the parts you are putting into it. They need to design a better case for sure because they need to open it up and let it breathe as you implied. I will say this though, if people do not educate themselves and do the correct research on what they are purchasing then of course your going to have issues. Now days dont buy a PC thats not liquid cooled or your going to have major issues. Make sure you run enough memory to support all the components in your PC. Have a power supply high enough that can easily run everything your putting into it. Get rid of that ancient HDD you have and go to NVME and SATA Drives. Make sure you have enough air/Fans blowing on your MOBO and ram to also keep those parts cool. Make sure you have a GPU thats compatible with everything you are running. Do your research on CPU with high cores so you can run everything smoothly and your CPU is not being taxed. Prefer 8 cores or more. If you do those basic things then you will be fine with whatever system you are running. I bought my R10 for 1600 with a 16 core Processor, 1000w PSU, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB NVME, 3060 TI, Liquid cooled and also added extra fans to the front and top to make sure it wasnt running terribly hot and i have had no issues. I also got rid of all of Dell's Bloatware that bogs down your PC. Another issue people were having with high idle temps is this, Dell fixes your power intake usage to 100% at the minimum for your CPU, which means even if your on idle, your CPU is going to run at 100% which is going to give you high idle temps. Another thing is most graphics cards will not use any fan usage until your temps hit 60. That is when your fans will kick on to bring temps down. Set a fan curve and your idle temps will stay below 30 easily. Make sure you set your minimum CPU power usage in your power plan settings to 0% and your max to 100%. I dont know why dell didnt address this but it happens with all there pre-buiilt PC's. Run a troubleshoot for your power and it will correct it for you. Also uninstall all of Dell's worthless bloatware. It will reduce your usuage on Memory, CPU, etc., drastically.

    Can I exchange the gear directly? I have DD but I want to switch them to healer

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing you can exchange is the tokens. Say if you buy a dps piece but you wanted a healer piece, the only thing you could do is sell that piece back to the vendor to get your token back and I think that’s in an 2 hour time frame. If you got a piece already and don’t have the token, you cannot switch pieces through the vendor. The only time you can switch is if you use the token and bought the wrong piece then you can go back and switch in a 2 hour time frame

  • @kronichgc
    @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

    Installing the two NOCTUA fans does not really help with temps on your GPU or CPU in a liquid cooled R10, the reasons being; your cpu is liquid cooled so air is not blowing directly on the CPU. If anything is going to help with that it’s push/pull on the radiator. Even then it’s not going to make a significant difference. The GPU already had a fan running on it before so this is likely not to change. By adding an additional fan to the HDD bay, we are circulating air to the ram, Vrm, ssd, and the mono itself. This will help with performance and thermal issues for the mono itself but temps with the cpu and GPU will basically stay the same unless of course you have air cooled systems.

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

      “Mobo”, not “mono” sorry about that 😁

      @@kronichgc how is it with loudness though, does it still sound like a jet taking off?

    • @kronichgc
      @kronichgc ปีที่แล้ว

      No it’s actually been very quiet and fans don’t ramp up as often because cooling has been very good. Adding that extra fan in the hdd bay really helps. The only fan that is loud right not is the top radiator fan and that’s because I haven’t done the mod for push pull yet. I will be doing that mod soon as well as replacing thermal paste on the cpu. My temps have been amazing so far though. For a ryzen 9 5900 that usually runs warm. I haven’t exceeded 75 degrees on a very heavy load so I feel addding the push pull will benefit but only about 5 degrees. The noctuas are not loud under load. They can get a whining noise under intense load but nothing like stock dell fans. I recommend doing this mod if you don’t like the noise of the stock fans

      @@portersherman9893 I wasn't able to get a 3090 at the time. I wish i would have but at the point i purchased mine it would have been another 1,000$ more so i just went with a 3060ti. I will be upgrading soon once nvidia comes out with its 4000 series. I can probably get one for pretty cheap then. I custom built this through the Alienware site with pop downs. The reason i built it through them was pricing because to custom build this exact tower with these specs will run you almost 2000-2500$. I got a discount of about 900$ by building this through there website. I made the decisions on what to put inside this tower not Dell or Alienware. This is not a PC you go buy off of best buy or any other pre-built website. You also CANNOT buy a Ryzen 9 5900 at all period! This CPU only comes in OEM's and is actually a better overall processor then a 5900x which you will be paying almost 33$ more. IDK why AMD did it that way but they did. I did the research and i couldnt build this from the ground up for this price. It wasnt going to happen, but i can build this and add mods to it to make it even better. I am not biased towards dell or alienware, it just made more sense to go about it this way. Thank you for the comment and Please Subscribe :)
