One person’s noise is another’s music, right? Most of the people who live in the neighborhoods adjacent to the airport think it’s pretty cool having aviation so close, we try hard to earn their good feelings. There are the occasional loud aircraft operating from the airport but that’s only for a moment and results more in curiosity as to what just took off rather than anger at a noisy propeller, etc. 👍✈️

Nope, it’s a runway, it’s an understandable question. This is Lynden Airport, a residential Airpark community located in Northern WA close to the British Columbia, Canada border. Many thanks Alex, I really appreciate your kind words! Yes, Ginger is a looker and she shines nicely after we put lots of elbow grease into her now 15 yo hangar paint job. There are certainly much nicer and newer paint schemes out there but Ginger is a flyer not a hangar queen. 😊

She’s an Alaskan bird half of the year, def used in the mud. Great for keeping the tail clean 👍

We have three V-Tail Bonanzas based here at our little airport, this particular one sounds the best in my opinion. What beautiful aircraft!!

I agree, Textron is rediculous! That said, aircraft have always been expensive, my hope is the upcoming FAA Mosaic changes will make things more “affordable” and bring more lower cost airframes into the market.

I’m very biased, of course! Living on an airpark is a dream come true for a pilot or aviation fan, the easy access to flying and great community of like-minded people is simply incredible! The politics here aren’t too great either but I focus on aviation, that my “happy place”. 👍✈️🍀

She’s been flying great! That morning was bright and the temp was cool, the vortices from the propeller were incredible to see! 👍👍

Thanks for your reply and welcome to Ginger’s channel. Well spotted, my practice is to also keep the elevators up after landing but more for the aerodynamic braking effect than taking the weight off the nose. In this case I wanted to roll to the end of the runway where the fuel farm is located without reapplying power (worked out perfectly). So, I agree with your instructor, but there are some situations where you may do it differently. Thanks again and best of luck with your training, whatever you do just be sure to finish and get that certificate!! 👍✈️🍀

Wow, sorry you had a bad experience. Here it’s much different, most hangar homes have light aircraft inside and the pilot owners are all good people who are considerate of their neighbors (on the airport and surrounding areas). We try hard to encourage noise abatement procedures and there are no helicopters based here, the only helos we see are Homeland Security or US Coast Guard and they’re just passing through to say hello. Our annual Airport Open House is hugely successful and we see most neighbors and they bring their kids/grandkids. The airport also drives a fair amount of economic activity in the City with fuel sales and pilots eating at the many local restaurants. All in all we’re very lucky to have a great community. 👍

@@GingerThePlane yeah well helicopters are super loud and he flew a uh-1 Iroquois which might have actually been a uh-1n which had TWO turbine pratt&whitneys. So if you didnt hear the distinctive chop of the blades it sounded like a 737 flying low all over the place. Certainly not a light aircraft. I moved it was an easy solution.

He was on his way to Ketchikan, Yakutat and Anchorage from Scottsdale, AZ. That’s a big trip but not challenge in a Turbine Bo. 👍

Exactly right! It’s a rare bird for sure, and I think the pilot was easing it off (hence the slow roll and climb out). It sure sounds good, too! 👍

I almost missed it, they were transitioning up to Alaska and stopped briefly to see friends. My neighbor (a Bonanza Society expert) called to let me know they were about to blast off. I’m so glad I caught their takeoff. 👍✈️❤️

One person’s noise is another’s music, I guess. Pilots live here and we enjoy seeing & hearing the various aircraft coming through, this isn’t the loudest either. Props only fortunately, not enough runway for jets. 👍✈️🍀

As a trucker and a pilot I know what you mean. My Jake brakes help me but annoy other people. My airplane as much as I love it, has potential to annoy some people to.

I don’t, sorry. Whatever is in it has the right amount of power to weight ratio that’s for sure!
