I’m originally from the east coast, flying there was pretty cool but the scenery out here is off the charts amazing. Let me know if you’re ever out this way, we’ll have to go flying so you can see it for yourself. 👍
Gotta love Harvey. I'm gonna be getting my PPL here, and boy am I lucky. Harvey is really quite a unique field (in a good way, lol), situated not too far from the city but not quite out in the middle of nowhere. Sometime I want to catch a train from the air out here, it certainly would make for an interesting picture.
I’m a huge Harvey Field fan, love it there! Glad to hear you’re pursuing your PLL there, that’s a wonderful flight school, and you’re right there’s something to be said about learning near a very complex airspace environment. I’m much more of a Class E pilot, I’m ok to fly in Bravo & Charlie airspace but Delta’s are about my speed of towered field. If you get a chance try to catch the train when it’s traveling on the shoreline of Chuckanut Mountain on your way to Bellingham (your CFI will know the spot), that’s gotta be one of the coolest things to see by air!! Thanks for watching, say hello if you see N12768 at Harvey 👍👍
@@GingerThePlane I'll definitely be sure to say hi if I see ya! Yeah, I like watching trains around Bellingham, especially the locals that run up to Custer and the refineries. Would love to catch one of those or maybe a Cascades train from the air sometime.
Good to hear the positive comments about Harvey. I'm in Lake Stevens and grew up going there to watch planes with my dad. Currently looking into both Harvey and Paine for my PPL in the near future.
Harvey is a beautiful little field. I wish the runway was a little longer. Not much margin for error if something goes wrong. Certainly be on your game and don’t land long! Great video btw!!
Grew up in Snohomish. Went to school there with the Harveys. Brother worked at Harvey Field. Saw my Grumman Lynx parked there and said I could be happy with that little plane. Several years later ended up buying it and still have it today. Love Snohomish! Great video as usual!
Hi Shawn, thanks for your support! Harvey has a special feel to it that you just don’t get at the larger airports. I’m a huge fan of Grummans, I think that’s so cool that you spotted your Lynx and bought it years later. I’m in Harvey a lot in the summer, maybe you could show me your Lynx one of these days, thanks 👍
Hey there! I worked the line at Harvey last year, its a great field! In response to your question at 4:45, I'll tell you that the coolest thing I saw in someone's hangar would be either a Porsche 356 in MINT condition or a Republic RC-3 Seabee. I can't express how clean the Porsche was. The paint was perfect and I didn't see a scratch on it, Interior looked just as good. The tags on the license plate read '56. I wonder what else is tucked away there
That’s awesome! I love the 356, such cool cars! We were helping a friend clear out a cluttered rental hanger and unearthed a ‘63 split window Corvette… incredible! 👀 SeaBees are amazing and cool, too! I’m always looking in open doors, you never know what you’ll find inside!! 👍👍
Thanks for watching and welcome to Ginger’s channel. Harvey Field is a special place and I love parking next to the Buzz and grabbing a quick bite while flying around the area. That’s my idea of a good day! I’m glad this brought a few good memories for you, honestly that’s a big part of why I do these videos in the first place. Take good care and thanks again 👍👍
Like most pilots it has been a lifelong passion of mine to fly. I decided to pursue my license in my 20s, worked 3 jobs to afford lessons and in 9 months earned my ticket. I didn’t grow up in an aviation family, none of my friends flew, it was just something I had to do - that was 32 years ago, I’m so grateful for the privilege of being able to do this. That’s how I started and why I share my flying videos today, hopefully to inspire someone else to pursue their dream! 👍
@@GingerThePlane I'm in the twilight of my years and between health, ability, finances, and current commitments to family, drones are the next best option. We rented gliders in California and used GoPros to document the experience. th-cam.com/video/lwnFic70mSk/w-d-xo.html
No, I’m just a private pilot with a strong passion for aviation. There’s a flight school at Harvey Field, I’m sure there are flight instructors there who can help you. Ask about an introductory flight, they’re usually free and it will give you a feel for whether it’s something you’d like to do. Good luck!! 👍✈️🍀
glad they took the tree out that was on final... that was fun navigating at night when I was training.
Agreed, and the runway is smooth as butter now! Such a great airport, I really like it there.
Your plane, she's a beauty
Thanks, appreciate your kind words! Flying is fun but I also enjoy keeping her clean 😊👍
The Pacific Northwest is just so beautiful!!! Great flight!

Thanks, appreciate it! I’m a big fan of Harvey Field, the new runway surface is like butter! 👍

Great video! Sorry I missed you.
Thanks! It was a spontaneous visit, next time for sure. Someday our weather will improve!!
Thanks for sharing. Always enjoy riding along and seeing new places to fly and eat.
Thank you, I appreciate that very much! 👍
Great video. I haven’t been to Buzz Inn in probably 30 years and it was in Monroe when my family would go on occasion. Great memories.

Take off center line master you are. Another video enjoyed, thank you.
LOL, thanks very much! I’m on those rudder pedals to keep it all straight!! 👍👍
