I like the green accents on the headstock. A guitar that heavy you want a strap even when sitting just so you aren't trying to hold it up and play at the same time. My bass is a little lighter than this guitar, coming in at 10 pounds. However, my bass is chambered.

is that weather report in the background music?

I'm thinking forstner bit and a gretsch-style leather back cover for all the holes, just like John Reis' old Les Paul custom.

I had a package coming from Toronto that was handed over to customs literally an hour before they announced that strike, I couldn’t believe how close it was but got to me on time before the holidays !

It sounds good, to be honest. It also looks good, especially for a homemade. Not sure about the necklace bits, though.

Zero fret makes a lot of sense and you can get perfect low action at the fret end as the zero fret can be leveled exactly like the first fret. What is the string height from the F to F sharp? Low, right? well why are frets carved so much higher? laziness.You need a good luthier to get the nut carved to the optimal height. If they go a hair too low you gt buzzing but if they use a zero fret they level the zero fret level to the other frets and it will be perfect with no chance of cutting it too deep.

would it be wrong to split the body into do slices to give it a chambered body?

I have the exact same one but is marketed as Cozart which is also a Harley Benton. Not the best out of the box. For gigging I switched to a Danelectric 59' resonator. Now that's the katz ass!

The body and neck are both Eastern Rock Maple

Is that someones project? Cant see it being a factory guitar, however my 60:s Italian made Avanti looks like a jazzmaster but is a solid piece of wood and heavy AF, plus the fretboard is flat. Has a similar headstock to that one

Would they make bending easier on a fretless? Yes, they don’t need to bend strings, but having both would make certain ideas on the upper range of a guitar interesting, since sliding brings the hand away from notes that would otherwise be achievable with bending.

Have a tricone Johnson that was unplayable. Took it to Barron Cohen in Canberra,Australia. Cones were collapsed and action ridiculously high. He had a few National cones lying around and said, how about it? Best move I ever made. The best set up ever. Heavy gauge strings no problem. And absolutely no cone rattle. An Australian legend 👍

I don't know how you manage to make your mouth sound uncomfortably wet while simultaneously bone dry on your voiceover
