You talked about the rules of engagement. I have been putting a bible study on what restrictions on the devil and his fallen. The reason I ma trying to find all of the scriptures on this is to become more effective in the war we are fighting. Firs is we are wiled cards in this war. If we hand out literature and they take it it opens a doorway to god. We pray for someone it makes in roads for the holy spirit to shine in. Now the person being witnessed to still has free moral will and can reject the holy sperit. On the other side are the followers of evil also pray and are wiled cards like we are but their a many more of them than are of us. But god promises us we win.

In reference to the multiple versions of not only the Great Controversy, but also Daniel and Revelations , entire sections were removed from D and R and in some instances what Uriah Smith said, was actually written opposite of His original work. If you want to read that book you can’t even read the 1940’s versions as even they are NOT his original work. Great Controversy with the pictures added due to Jim Arabeto’s work for “History of the Sabbath “ has not altered the text of White’s original work, but simply adds pictures with captions to show where the events spoken of in the text took place . Even the page numbers for reference remain the same ( the pictures are inserted in the center of the book for the most part with reference numbers in the text. Many readers,especially men, find these pictures make the book come alive for them . Archaeology has been uncovering evidence of Biblical sites that convince the reader of truth .Archaeology presents scientific evidence which confirms that the Bible happened. After seeing such evidence, people are prepared to accept more information and weigh that as well, like Great Controversy. Additionally, hand out versions are sometimes condensed , skipping over entire paragraphs ,to make them more of a quick read . “Triumph of God’s Love”another version of “Great Controversy” has the same wording, but because of pictures the page number references are different making it much harder to share reference page numbers, but people like the larger print and pictures .

I just ordered a 1911 copyright edition printed in 1948 and also a 1939 copyright edition printed in 1954. I will let you know when I get them and compare them with the current EGW app and hardcopy editions. 👍

There's only one true book The rest become novels of the original 🤔

I am following online in the EGW app of the 1888 and the 1911 edition and they both are word for word the same as the book she was reading. How can they both be exactly the same as with the current one? Also, it’s very Uneasy and disturbing that almost every day, forsure several times a week the EGW app, when I open a book they ask me to update it. Why does there need to be an update on a book that was written by a prophet that passed away 1915? What are they doing? I finished following along just in the 1888 EGW app and it was identical to the book she was reading out of. I would like to find the original hardcopy 1888 book and see what it actually says compared to a new one.

For years I thought the following quote meant that the constitution would be changed as we got close to the end : “… our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government …"(Testimonies for the Church 5:451). But maybe the "principles" of the Constitution can be repudiated - along with it's initial amendment - without changing the constitution at all. Consider this : the USA Freedom Act of 2015 - which replaced the Patriot Act of 2001 - while generally considered "anti-terror legislation", actually provides for some pretty harsh restrictions on free speech, free association, and free exercise of religion. All it takes to have one's freedoms restricted is to be deemed a threat to the well-being of the state. So .... when we reach the point where "Those who honor the law of God have been accused of bringing judgments upon the world, and they will be regarded as the cause of the fearful convulsions of nature and the strife and bloodshed among men that are filling the earth with woe." (GC 614) ... the provisions/restrictions of the USA Freedom Act of 2015 just might be implemented without any need to change the constitution.
