Removed all together. I just use the key. Because the “red” switch is the emergency shut off. Not to turn off motorcycles every cycle.

is it me or did he skip the who reinstall process? Like I was waiting to see what hoses hook to what on the carb and then it just cuts to it being all installed

I knew instantly you were going to paint those spokes a bit with that spray. Why don’t you cover the entire inner part with like a plastic bag or something

Thanks for the video. Mine is cranking but not starting. The fuel pump is not making any sound. There is no power to clutch wire, side stand wire and fuel pump wire.

A coworker had a pretty bad injury and was out of action for an entire riding season. His VLX600 was the least of his worries so it sat in his garage for over a year with old gas. He’s thinking of just getting rid of it cheap so I was wondering how much trouble would it be to get it back into riding condition?

You are a saint. Thank you for sharing this and saving many people many hours of frustration. :) I may be one of them lol. My bike wouldn't start this morning, had to drive the truck to work. I didn't get far into testing but first thing I checked is the battery and it's good. I suspect this is the issue because of how it happened, I was turning over then stopped. In hindsight, my ignition has been acting kind of finicky, sometimes working and sometimes not and cutting out. I'm looking forward to trying this today when I get home!

There is an extension bracket for the headlight that moves the headlight out so it fits without a gap.

Why dont you use end caps?

I'm thinking about putting these on my 01 Deuce. Still riding with the stock drag bar set up, im 5'10" and im bent forward and down some, so, this setup you did looks like itll work fine for me as well

Note . The carb take it apart again, remove every jet and clean with carb cleaner and small wires and blow out . and also put in new gaskets. check the automatic choke and replace fuel filter. allso check the valve clearences at top dead center . Have a good day

I recommend a smeer of vasceline on those contacts incase water gets in and corrodes them again.

My 07 1100 did this ended up being the fuse block.i had no power at all pressed down on block had power rode it for a day then lost power coming home .it stayed running not good but made it home.
