Work trip to Vasara, Rendova Island

We had travelled from #munda in bad weather, crossing the strait to Vasara village on Rendova Island. The next morning, our team conducted awareness on forest restoration and managed to speak to some important village/community elders. Vasara is a beautiful tiny #coastal #community situated on the western end of Rendova Island, Western Province of #solomonislands.

As a normal routine everyday, from Mondays to Fridays, I walk to my office. It takes almost 2 km to reach the office in town. Gizo Island is popular for its beautiful offshore islets, tourist attractions and various dive sites. Though a small town, it still needs improvement in roads, waste management and few buildings. Overall, life is simple as it is here on the island. #gizo #solomonislands ...
