My landlord got me a used one of these washers, I believe it sat outside because I did a tub cleaning before using it & when it was done the drum was full of leaves… I really hope this works, I don’t want to have to buy my own washer/dryer set just yet… I’ll update after I attempt cleaning with this videos help! Wish me luck 😂

The picks are clever, strong enough to get the job done. Had to take our drum out the second time in a month. A quarter got jambed between the agitator plate and the drum which came out by pliers but several other coins found their way down below. May be harmless but I wasn't sure if the pump had an inlet screen.

Hi, I got the same lights and the same problem, you said the vendor mailed you resistors 40 ohm but the link you gave on Amazon the resistors are 6 ohm, please where I can find 40 ohm resistors like yours? Thanks

Great video. I didn’t have the mini hooks so I simply took two finishing nails and clamped them in two vice grips and I bent the finishing nails to a right angle at the tips. Worked perfectly and the agitator popped right out. There was grime on the mounting area of the agitator as well as the agitator cap. My washer must be a bit larger because there was I believe a dozen nuts holding the drum down. I could not loosen the nuts with a socket and ratchet nor my cordless drill. It was difficult because the drum would keep spinning while you’re trying to turn the nut. I could’ve got my impact wrench from the garage that I use with my compressor but my wife and I decided the cleaning was good and if we have an issue with odor next time we’ll do a complete disassembly. For others doing the job the first thing that I did was remove the sump pump from underneath the washer and clean in the sink as well as scrub out the drain hose to the sump and from the sump to the wall drain. The flex hoses were very stinky, but not too grimy. When we do a deep clean like Howard did, I’ll have my wife video me using Howard’s technique.

5:57 so how did you get the part clean that is still connected to the washer? It seems like you can’t really pressure wash that. What is the best method for getting that clean? Thanks for your video. Hopefully it can solve my issue. It may be a little above my skills but I am going to try it out.

Mold scum and lint in the agitator soak it in tub with vinegar and baking soda

Around 1:50 you said that clips are a better design than screws. I could not disagree with you more. This is flimsy cheap and shoddy.

Thank you Howard! You saved my life 2 years ago when I couldn't figure out how to lift the lid up the first time I had to clean it. And then again today when I had to clean it again and couldn't remember what you showed me last time ;-). Both time, had these brown pasty spots on the inside of the washer drum...and when I took the drum out it was covered in it too. Good cleaning and it was good to go for another two years!
