@@christophermooney8928 that is awesome, my sincere apologies for the misleading info, I am not familiar with the assemblage of throttle kits on the Bosch motor. I was sure that it was not possible to install such kit..:-(

The chip is always active.. unfortunately, you cannot setup the desired assisted speed :-(

Best line of action is to leave the bike to switch OFF itself. This process allows the tuning to perform the countdown procedure and thus prevent any error to occur!

Totally agree. The restriction in the UK is pathetic and just there to let you know that they control everything.

Yes this happen when the bike is switched OFF without allowing the tuning to perform the countdown procedure.. please remove the tuning and ride the bike without tuning for at least 50 km..then, reinstall the tuning again, this will clear the error code :-)

Not sure about your Shimano engine model but the the diagnostic tool is installed on the display.. depending also on the display model!

you can turn the magnet at 90 degree so the face of the magnet point up into the ski or down to the floor. Other option is to relocate the magnet on the further spoke, the one on the other side of the wheel.. both method allows for extra clearance between the box and the magnet.. If the problem persist just contact us via email!

yes you are right! unfortunately this happen because the Bosch Smart System software does not allow the correct speed to be displayed on the display :-( said this however, with the SpeedBox 1.0 B.Tuning it is possible to see the correct speed only via the phone app.. :-)

yes! indeed you are right because speeds above 23 km/h are recorded as maximum speed of 23 km/h..the correct speed is not displayed since there are no interactions with the engine software.. this is the beauty and simplicity of the BAB

I strongly advise to use the new updated version 4 : ebikespartsandaccessories.com/collections/ebike-tuning-fazua/products/badassbox-4-for-fazua-ebike-tuning-speed-unlock please also check the speed sensor shape and the location of the magnet since there have been a few changes in Fazua settings in the past few years!

Yes you are correct, the badassbox does not retain the speedometer accuracy for speeds above 20 km/h. If you are after speedometer accuracy then you will have to get a tuning that plugs into the engine ports which can be messy as you have to remove the engine cover, pedals, and etc..

Due to different bikes design configurations it could happen that the speed sensor is too close to the magnet. In this case, we advise to twist the magnet at 90 degrees to gain some extra clearance and thus improve the magnetic communication between the badassbox and the magnet.

Usually error are associated by interrupting the countdown procedure! thus, we advise to remove the tuning and ride the bike without tuning for 100 km, then reinstall the tuning again! Always let the engine to switch OFF itself as this will allow the countdown procedure as the tuning is putting back into the engine software the correct data..and thus avoid tuning detection..simple as that!

@@ebikespartsandaccessories3039 I haven’t used the new Smart System myself, was curious to hear your experience using SpeedBox with it thanks. Never had any trouble myself when using SpeedBox on Gen4 pre Smart System, (and I always let the timer countdown).
