I am currently based in Switzerland, not too far away from the busy Gotthard Railway. I aim to share my videos of trains with fellow enthusiasts. All content posted here is my own.
Swiss Tilting Trains
The small alpine nation of Switzerland doesn’t have a lot of straight sections of railway. Tilting trains offer higher levels of passenger comfort and allow trains to travel at speeds up to 35% faster than conventional trains around the endlessly curving railways traversing the country. Check out some of the nation's tilting trains in action in this video.

There are connections between major Swiss cities and cities in France both with SNCF TGVs and another company called TGV Lyria which is a company jointly owned by SNCF and SBB.

That's right, they're both tilting trains.
Are trains always this short here?
a lot of freight is transported via other means in europe.
Infrastructure tends to be optimized for shorter, more frequent trains than elsewhere.

From the 13.12.2020, the SBB RABe 503 is supposed to operate between Zürich HB and Munich Hbf via Bregenz and Lindau-Reuttin, without changing direction as similar services used to do at the soon to be former Lindau Hbf (will be Inselbahnhof from 13th December). This is after three years or so of electrification between Lindau and Munich via Memmingen and Buchloe.
