Are these the BEST (affordable) locking pliers?!?!?!
Para el trabajo de los TMA lo veo más util que las leatherman, las vuales creo que se centran más en supervivencia que en el mantenimiento
I use that klien for everything, really great tool. I love the really long thumb wheel. I've also put quite a bit of torque on it and it's still here.
i thought borderlands 2 was running in the background
Regarding the klein, 5/16 is the size of bolt head for many two piece strut straps. The low profile makes easy access.
for got all, only VIM(same to KS-Tools gearplus and Gedore) use and helpful you can disassemble&assemble many aircraft ratio of size vs. angle vs. weight vs. safety vs. durability the best. for some sample works: removing brocken studs of B737 Cargohandle(net special bit but it fits behinde handle without dissamble. tight screws of reacaro pax seats armrest. removing&installation Bombardir Q400 exhaust system. SB on trailing landing edges to body without removing landing edge possible. Cockpitwindow chande at Boeing+Airbus for works behind cockpit you securite with lanyard on other end bit slot.... Wera is higher and a lot heavier. Prestacycle also as flex from KS-Tools, Facom, Kingsdale aviable the stop on red dot wornout and bit slides. Topeak same victorinox same huge head shittt, chapman angle to big... etc... only you need is VIM = my KS-Tools used since 15years line maintanance, c-check, engine overhaul, 24h racecars, at home etc... never want mis. all other to high, huge, angle, to heavy or impossible to secure with lanyard. only VIM/KS-tools gearplus/Gedore.
I am a Red Seal Carpenter, and that Klein is my favourite wee ratchet. The magnet is great, and the pass through feature makes bolts or loosening hex head screws in tight spots a breeze because that finger loop allows for more strength to be applied.
Search out a US made Vise Grip 4 Lw. A beast of a hex nut gripper. Sadly no longer made.
Recently ended up with the Icon set, but have been using a standard Gearwrench 1/4” wrench, it’s the 0 offset non reversible type. It’s very small and thin.
the icon is the best bang for the buck Get soon they seem not to be restocking near me
Sabrecut/Sealey - the problem with the sliding switch is that it almost always accidentally switches and reverses when holding the tool down - especially in tight areas for which this tool would be dedicated for in my opinion/use (I’m an installation electrician) Sabrecut has something identical to the Prestacycle with extension bar but with adjustable head angle. There is a problem with this type of tool though - that little projection in the hex that allows the extension bar to pass through in one orientation and stop it in other orientations is very weak. If you use it with some bits, it just wears out and then all the bits start passing right through the head - not very good. That’s a very major flaw in this expensive tool which is otherwise perfect.
Unfortunately, that Gearwrench has some problems with its design on the ratcheting mechanism. It can fall out pretty easily and the retention ring on it is also susceptible. It's awesome, but it needs some refinement in its design. Lots of them fail. If yours doesn't, it's awesome. I'm not sure if that's why the discontinued it, or there were other reasons. It would be strange for such a popular and well reviewed tool to be discontinued otherwise.
👍💪🏽🙏🏻
Which one has the lowest back drag?
Malco all day. Too bad theyre going out of business. But you can still get a pair from their overstock
I dont work on aircraft but those would be great for my motorcycle.
This was an awesome breakdown video. Super informative. Made a great shopping list, even if I just bought 3 from this list before watching the video. I'm going to subscribe and watch some more of your videos. Keep up the great work.
I’m an aircraft tech and all I use is a mini pry bar and a flashlight
i might go to gearwrench for me and one flex head. wish they had a soft carry case.
You missed the Icon RXFT-35. A nice little set with a flex head and a nice selection of S2 steel bits.
I am a bit late to the party, but, how does it compare to the Stanley fatmax ones that come in black?
No knipex ?????.....why
Great videos my man! Thanks,
Great video again as always!
Hope you continue making videos some time, loving these.
I have one, it’s very capable and good quality tool.
It always cracks me up seeing these micro ratchets in big man hands. But I have big hands too, and for some reason, the smaller the ratchet the more I love it LOL
I clicked the link and it says 75$
Nobody seems to like that Klein. I love mine and use it regularly. I gave them to 3 friends as gifts they also use them regularly. My buddy lost a arm years ago and likes the finger hole in the klein as he works one handed
I have one identical to the Chapman in a set with a hand driver and multiple proprietary bits, but it’s marked “Xcelite” who I know made small screwdriver sets with a universal handle. I bought it at least 40 years ago. The bits are extremely hard and well made. I really like that Craftsman which I’ve never seen before, and I thought I had all their tools. I do have a set of three very similar drivers, one with that offset, one a reverse offset angling in (less useful), and a straight one. They’re all reversible with a toggle on the sides, not top like yours, and all have thumb wheels, but they have coated handles and none have the 1/4” 12 pt driver end. I bought them maybe 20 years ago. That Prestacycle 92205 looks very similar to one Harbor Freight sells in a set, which I don’t have yet but am considering. I like that Gearwrench a lot, and appreciate you giving the part numbers. Unfortunately one year after this video it looks like it’s out of stock everywhere, or is marked “discontinued,” but I’ll keep looking. Thanks for the great overview! 👍
To peak is an awesome company and stand behind their tools.
Thoughts after use and compared to the skeletool?
Go for SOG if you mainly use the blade. Pretty ergonomic, the pliers aren't better than the Leatherman Skeletool.
👍
The Wadsworth Falls {W.F.M.C.} Mini Ratchet drive System is worth a look also, Cheers.
Thanks for the videos. I hope to see more aircraft tools. Could you do a toolbox review?
The klein looks like a 4mm micro bit driver
This is NOT an accurate test. You have completely ignored the original manufacturer VISE GRIP made in the US forever. I have many of these, a couple are well over 60 yrs old. I have NEVER had a failure of ANY of them and I am 74yrs old. You missed the mark completely sunshine. As with most tools you should NOT let price make your choice. If you buy right they will last you a lifetime. There will be people fighting over my Vise Grips when I am long gone and they will continue to serve for many years.
Vice grips aren't made in the US anymore. Production was sent to China. I have some of the originals, and your statement is true for those. I have a couple of the China made vice grips, and they are garbage.
@@Bogie3855 Vise Grips simply aren't the best for my line of work. They are great locking pliers, but if you watch the end of the video you will see what I chose, and why. Remember that I am looking at the reviews I make through the lens of my career of choice, and ultimately that determines my opinions on utility, performance, and value. I appreciate your input though, and I think healthy discourse like this is what makes America Great!
@TheAircraftTechnician vice grips are made in China now, the malco eagles are far superior pliers. They're made on original vice grip machining.
I have to call you out on this one. I had a pair of US made vice grips and they didn't hold up. And yes, I did take care of them. In light of that, your post is one big lie, and I still have to prove it.
That man is going to kill you if he catches you..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol im weak 😂 the struggle!
@@kobeyah7160 it's so relatable!
LMAO
Hahahaha it really makes sense 😅
You forgot a pair. The most important ones too... the IRWIN IRWIN Tools VISE-GRIP Original 4" Locking Wrench with Wire Cutter for break lines and bikes
My Milwaukee worked great for 2yrs but doesnt want to eject bits anymore
Maybe grime/dirt in there? A good cleaning and lube thereafter may help
$19 @ Amazon
Okay pal, were almost a the Year mark for radio silence. I hope that means you are busy and making money.
Matt!!!!
Life got busy, had some health issues, but now I'm getting back into the swing of things. The whole Boeing door plug blow out debacle kept me quite busy, and now that things in life are calmer (despite a still quite crazy schedule) I will start making videos again on a more regular basis. Thank you for checking in brother
@@TheAircraftTechnician Hey buddy, just glad you're still with us. Looking forward to more reviews.
Check out the Icon flex head ratchet and bit set, it is similar to the Prestacycle but it has a flex head.
@@arthurschamne I picked one up recently after many month of folks recommending it. I can't say enough good things about it, if HF is good at something it is copying a good product and making it accessible to the masses.
Is the craftsman can do work with socket?
As long as you use a hex to square adapter, yes
Great video thanks!
Whose sister is this?
Damn❤
Nice video. I like the bgm bro.
Thanks Jay!
I just got my Neiko and you definitely got a dud driver, mine holds the bits just fine. However the hinge was gummed up with dried paint so I had to open and close it a few times to get it move smoothly
