Are you able to use your electric heater and electric blanket at the same time, or does it trip the breaker?

I am glad you heeded my concern about using propane in an enclosed space. Funny enough, I have the same single burner that you do but I mostly use it to perc coffee and heat up soups and stews that I make ahead of time (sometimes) and haven't tried a steak on it. I have an outside propane grill that cooks steaks and chicken or burgers/ hot dogs beautifully unless it is really raining, then no one is happy. Your cooking skills far outdo anything I have done; I bow to the master. Good job on making the most out of a single burner. The outlets in most trailers are usually on a 15A circuit so trying to use a hot plate and heater at the same time, that requires probably 20 to 30A to operate and will trip the breaker every time. As someone else said, you can run an extension cord out the window or door to run one of them if they have to be on at the same time. If you don't want that, you can shut the heater off when the burner is on as the hot plate will also warm up the trailer. I hope this helps and you are doing great!

Great Job on the steak and veggies. I would go the hot plate route but already have a portable induction plate I bought used on eBay. Same thing I guess in the long run? I have a heater that looks about the same as yours. It has a remote so I can turn it on from bed, set the temperature I want and set a timer so it will shut of in a half hour, or maintain the set temp if I want to leave it running.

I love cooking in cast iron. Your steak looked great! Nice job making your way through winter.

When I got my first trailer, I went to a church parking lot and practiced a lot. You will get really good. Never give up. And good video.

In the winter, my father would use an electric heater to save propane. He drilled a hole in the back of his electrical storage compartment and ran a heavy duty extension cord inside to the heater. He always used the 30 amp receptacle so the 120 volt receptacle was free to use for this. He never had any problems.

Well done Stephanie, and yes the trailer is only good for about 15amps before it trips, we have an all powers battery box @100amps, good for coffee and toast in the morning without tripping a breaker, Amazon had a Bluetti sale on a while ago. I love your video's, Richard in the north, Canada.

I always enjoy the positive thought for the day, thank you for that. I do like that cast iron hot plate, nice when everything is a perfect fit. It'll work for both boondocking and, when you're out and hooked up to power too!

Hello there, I was wondering, if I can share with you the most important thing ever. God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus to earth, to be born of a virgin. We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life to be God's child. Other ideas: 1. If the basket by bed is too heavy, cut 2 or 4 pockets from over the door shoe hangers and attach to that spot to use as a "night table". 2. Can also use a few of the shoe pockets at entrance to put things you need quick access to by door: bug dope, sun screen, lip balm, hand cream, bbq lighter, etc. 3. If your shower is not a wet bath, shoe pockets work great in bathroom too. 4. Put a couple of hooks outside in strategic spots to hang wet raincoats, outside garbage bag, etc 5. For outdoor fire pit, look for a small one that will fit in your outside storage. Look for Little Red. It doesn't emit a lot of heat, but is enough for one. 6. Outdoor cooking: Look for small, portable bbq that will fit in outside storage. Keep that on an old towel or a dish drain to keep the floor clean. 7. Consider using a stationary sorter (a bit smaller than a cutler sorter) to go on top of your cutlery holder, as another layer in your drawer. 8. Another option for spices are the small tins that have a magnet on bottom. They often come with a magnet strip that you can attach under cupboard. 9. Cookware: look for nesting pots and pans. Some have removable handles for better packing. Look for collapsible strainer, kettle (or a flat kettle), storage containers, bowls. 10. Clothes storage: pack your clothes in the cubes like a file, rather than layering them on top of each other. Some folks like packing cubes, too. 11. Take spare set of sheets - can put under the sheets you use, or tuck them into an empty throw pillow case on your bed. 12. Since your bed is permanently down, consider a small folding table. I store mine as a head board. I also have a folding stool that I use to sit st the table, if I don't want to sit on the bed. 13. Be sure to get a chair for outside. Not storage, but make sure that you have: Small tool kit with screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, hammer, rope, SPARE fuses. Portable battery or solar lights in case your battery is running low. Choose ones good for indoor or outdoor.

Glad to see you have adapted to cold weather. I'm thinking that if bad weather sets in with a forecast of ice I may hitch up and head south to warmer weather. The older I get the more I try to avoid bad weather. Take care.

You may have already thought of this, and if so, forgive me for mentioning it. It sounds like you have plenty of heaters with you, but it gets really cold in Montana, and you may be tempted to fire up your propane furnace. DON'T! You are inside a closed garage and the carbon monoxide put off by the furnace will kill you. You mention you may cook some, but the same caution applies to your propane cooktop. You can buy a single burner electric hotplate for $50? I use one when I have 120v hookups to save on propane. Please don't use propane inside the garage, even raising the garage door a little isn't safe, you have to be all the way outside for the carbon monoxide to dissipate.

Good video Stephanie, we also purchased a new trailer of the same brand but ours is 17', being the two of us. Also we are always looking for ideas and you have some good hints. Snow up here in Ontario Canada also. Thanks for posting, Richard.

Hi Stephanie! As I've previously told you, your channel is my favorite RV channel BY FAR!! I've learned a lot from watching your videos. I finally took possession of my 1st TT 2 days ago. It's a small one very similar to yours. It's a 2019 Palomino Palomini. 21ft long on the outside. I had it winterized and it's parked in my driveway until Spring when I can finally take trips in it. Anyway just wanted to let you know I am finally about to start my RVing journey and you're a huge inspiration to me!

This is really interesting, here in the UK and Europe we mainly use a cassette system, they fill quite quickly and then you have to take the cassette to a dumping point on the site, it’s awful, some people are considerate, however it can be really unpleasant. I wondered if all pitches on US sites have the sewage connection you demonstrated, if they don’t or if you are off site, what would people do. Black tanks can be found on the top range motor homes, but I’ve honestly never seen a discharge point on any sites I’ve been to. Something that is becoming more popular are the composting toilets, but I’m just not convinced, I even looked at the dry systems, but again there’s something I don’t like about them. I have seen incinerator toilets, but they are incredibly expensive, about $10000 over here. Enjoyed the video
