Installing a new bead sight after shortening barrel on mossberg 500
Great info and review. Gettin' a 929 shortly
Thanks for the review partner, I'm thinking of getting one, and I am subscribing too.
The one i have the hammer doesnt reach the firing pin im not sure if theres something wrong with the trigger assembly but ive taken it apart added oil made sure all the parts art sticking and they arent
I inherited a 929 from the late 60's to early 1970's. It has the trigger safety bar. So you can pull the trigger back to the first click and keep the hammer firing pin off the cartridge. It's a 4" barrel. All black, beautiful gun.
I have a JC Higgins with a great pad on it.
Looks great. Think it will last another 100 years
What did you shoot out of it? low base I hope!
Try sliding...not snapping the other one on
My great grand father had a over and under ranger it’s over 100 years old 1919 1920 I inherited it it’s still in great original condition my favorite hunting gun for both birds and deer hunting. And I never take it out in the rain
1serial number under bottom stock
YO Peanut! Me gun go click....me gun go BOOM....YA DIGG???
I've owned two for over forty years
Try rust blueing those doubles, it’s the most durable bluing process and it’s not difficult at all. Midway guy has a good video on how to do it.
I'll have to look into it, but I was under the understanding. Both receiver and barrels were nickel. Plated stainless would be nice. And if I may ask, do I see some Shorty fingers there?
That's exactly how I would want one. On the rear stock I might go for a little more traditional look but everything else is exactly.
I just use a 12 gauge shot gun 00 buck saw along with a can of beer for good penertrating lube
Made in 1970. I have the same 311E.
Nice guns will last a life time all steel , i have the 732 - 32 S&W long 1967 still kicking
I just picked up a HR 929 can you carry them fully loaded since the firing pin is on the hammer? Thanks.
Zip tie also wont scratch
Bought one ..brilliant for .meat...hint hint...
I have a JC Higgins in 20 gauge and it shoots great. I have shot several opossums on the run with it. I didn't know they even made bolt action shot guns until I found it at a pawn shop. I paid 125.00 for it.
You think lowbrass Kix like a meal? Try high brass. Yeah, I thought on your first shot there. You're gonna have a heart attack when you found your safety Was on
I was gifted a 583.16 and it needs a new barrel, is a 583.17 barrel compatible? Anyone know?
I might have a better way if the barrel does'nt have a rib a pipe cutter works great just takes alot of turns and time but it's fool proof. 😊
does this jam
I have owned my HS Sentinel since 1976. It's always in my tool bag when I go to the farm.
Should have you some true oil on it
thanks for the advice, iv been wondering how to get a good cut
Can you shoot modern shells in a shot gun that old
Lead load only and chambered for 2 3/4 shell not 3"
@@cliffclark9249 I don’t think I’m gonna shoot mine I found it has the barrel bulged at the choke area . Someone probably shot steel out of it .
Give your phone number pls
I need send detels whatsapp ?
if it's so useless give it away to somebody who appreciates it.
Pipe cutter is the way to go on a barrel without a rib.
Hòw much money 2 òwn one
I also use an, 4 inch pipe cutter for steel. A perfectly squared cut and minimal file work. Great vid.
I Have had a Sentinel Mk.IV .22 LR cal 4" barrel for over 35 years. I carry it allot and have NEVER had any problems with the gun. Ammo yes Gun No. Shoots good and strait and very trusty .... And yes I have carried and used it in very hard conditions. I am from Montana and I use this gun often... I carry it with me daily.. Great Gun.... Yes I have put thousands of rounds through her.. the only thing dif is mine has the wood grip. You have a great .22 take care of her she will be trusty... Thank You
It took all the kings horses and all the kings men to get that bolt out.
Nice absolutely! Useless?? No absolutely not. Picked one of the us off a buddy for $175. My first gun. Great squirrel gun. Very accurate point and shoot. Never let me down!

Take the butt plate off. There is a compartment behind. Let me know if you find anything.
I would not recommend HV shells on that old of a shotgun.
Just a safety note. The next time you wish to test the integrity of an old shotgun don't put it up to your face. Hold it away from you and fire it so if it blows it will not hurt so much.
You made you a good deal. I have a Lefever .410 made in 1926. You can find out when it was made by the serial number. I took mine to a gun show. Before I got into the building I was offered a thousand dollars for it.
Hace unos años atrás adquirió un tube ese h&r fallaba mucho en la percusion
Its better than you think. Younger people dont see history. Keep it and enjoy
Why couldnt you just rotate the clamp and cut from the bottom when you get to the bottom?
Those 5100s were made in the 40s, take a look I bet there is no serial number.
Beautiful gun
I noticed that the H series has a straight lower-front receiver as opposed to the regular one that slightly curves inward where it meets the pivot points. Is there any difference between the non-H series 311's and the H series?
