im actually really happy with the traffic lights. sometimes there are maps with endless traffic light use and i made my personal highscore on that map.

What about if you have a side road joining a main road? The only time I use roundabouts.

You don't need to care about single tile area around shops and houses since overlapping those areas on spawn is prohibited. Also I found that placing cross figures in advance near the lvl 2 malls and high density residential areas is helping a lot to have space for roundabouts later.

There is a weekly challenge with the following modifiers: a fixed number of roads, random upgrades, and one starting motorway item. I controlled all the spaces and it resulted in one yellow market and 11 yellow houses that all wanted to go to one spot, causing a jam. So… I failed, funny enough 🤣

I dont think the dad killed the main character, i actually think the dad’s generational trauma and narcissism led the mc to commit suicide. The mother died after the main character, i say this bcus the mc did not know of her mother’s death. I think she realized she killed herself because of the trauma and the constant fighting over her and she had to learn how to move on

One could argue that traffic lights remain ineffective, even in present times.

idk if anyone is reading this in 2023, but the traffic lights work great for combining portions of populations on one road instead of a jumbled mess, they rely heavily on the right hand red rule and can be utilized in almost every situation. With that being said they cant possibly compete with the utility of roundabouts in most cases.

I recommend not using them next to a mall because traffic will get stuck

Totally agree with you on what you were expecting before the game was released. Also that the final result ended up very fun and addicting despite the gameplay model not making sense at first. Endless mode is confusing. Needs more explanation. All I know is somewhere I read\saw\heard the word "efficiency" referring to endless mode. Still not clear but I think the pin at the top is more or less an efficiency gauge (number of trips completed per second\tick). I don't know what's preventing spawns towards the end. Too many roads placed maybe? Never understood in normal mode how exactly building roads discourages spawns. Whatever it is, the model never changed because orange people still only go to orange shops. It's still basically a hardcore racial segregation sim. 😆 Maybe someday they'll give us a mode that changes that.
