I'm on Staff with a different company than pyramid, so I'm glad this qualifies as a spare ball because it's not a breach of my contract to throw it & I'm certainly going to take advantage of the coverstock/ core combination when the conditions call for it. I previously threw hammers version of this combination polyester/w asym core and made some spending money with that bad boy. Will be drilling up this Blue dot this coming week week.

Cheating describes various actions designed to “subvert rules” in order to obtain unfair advantages. If it’s against rules PBA or USBC etc then it’s cheating but it’s not. On the other hand Two hand bowling it’s really really difficult to achieve good and consistent results, clearly every one that says two handed players has unfair advantages has never ever tried to bowl correctly two handed. And lastly it’s not two handed bowling it’s two handed approach and one hand delivery everyone that bowls “two handed” at least the pro bowlers have releases with one hand not both hands.

Great discussion and well done video. I am a 70 year old 2 handed bowler. I started bowling one handed about 12 years ago. After 3 years of bowling it became clear unless you are a weight lifter and very strong you just can’t produce the revs to carry better. I am a skinny person. I tried all kinds of devices but just didn’t compare to using two hands. Back then as I got good with two hands there we’re constant complaints in league and tournaments. As you can imagine in senior league and senior tournaments two handed senior bowler have much more power and carry. Did it give me significant more pins. Not really. I did just as well with one hand. Two handed game is more fun with power. Now days there are so many more two handed bowlers. I am happy to see that. But there are still complaints from one handed bowlers because some good two handed bowlers really shine when they bowl with such power and speed. I don’t have the speed. But revs really hit very well . Two handed is much more physical. I find most seniors are not physically up to it. But I think many can bowl two handed and have much more power. I love bowling. And two handed bowling made it even better. I bowl left and right hand two handed. Do I think it’s cheating? No because even one handed players used many devices and techniques to get more revs. I love the fact younger bowler are enjoying bowling more two handed. And yes as they get better it appear to give them higher strike average. From my experience, women’s league would benefit greatly if more bowled two handed. It would definitely give them somewhat equal chances.

Is weird why a release with hook a ball 1 handed is not cheating. Then it should be. Because by hook the ball, the pins fly a lots more, make it more easy to get strikes. And then it should only be allowed to roll a straight ball for everyone, so all have the same chance lol

Of all the plastic/urethane strike balls such as the Lane #1 Crystal Bomb, Radical Spy, Purple Hammer, and this (Pathogen Blue Dot), the Blue Dot consistently rolls the best. I love throwing this ball, even when the lanes aren't that dry.

The two handed game has made a lot of careers on the tour and a lot of victories in league and tournament that most likely would not exist if there was no two handed game. To me, the 2 handed game is a cheat code, and just with anything that has a cheat code, when you use it, it may make things easier but its not considered cheating. Its used to compensate for the lack of skill and work it would take to develop a traditional game. Where I live there is a guy whose a lefty in Raytown, Missouri named Brian Smith who's been bowling 2 handed since he was a child and he's easily in his late 40's. This guy developed a highly skilled 1 handed game along with his 2 handed game. This guy averages 225-230 any given league, and he's bowled on the PBA Regionals.. So when this guy bowls 2 handed nobody looked at it as cheating because everyone knows how good he really is. Belmo is just about as talented as this guy is. But when you have a bunch of copycats who just ran with it because it was popularized by Belmo and Palerma it just comes off as cheap bandwagon bullsh!t and it's turned the game into more of a sideshow when you see the sh!tty two-handed bowlers out here nowadays.

I like how two-handed bowling is allowed in league play, but for me as an ambidextrous bowler (left hand dominant), am forbidden from switching to pick up certain spares. For instance, the 7 pin. It's a skill, like two-handed bowling. How can one be allowed, but not the other. Both have "unfair" advantages.

Now, just how long will it take to allow the use of bowling with either hand in the same game. Maybe the thousands of older bowlers who can’t spare a tenpin, or lefties with the 7 pin, will stay in the game longer. God, I wish bowling would get with it. We should ask baseball players if it’s harder to hit a home run with one hand. How about one-handed billiards? One-handed golf? One-handed basketball? It’s obvious 2 handed is advantageous for many reasons.

Kid in my league went from averaging 145-150 to 225 in one season. He could not put ANY revs on the ball with one hand to taking that same ball to the gutter at 40ft to the the pocket with two.
