Hi. I have a quick question about the final coating after cleaning. Wax would melt, so how else do you treat the surface? Keep the videos coming!! You have a lot of information about getting the right mix working Thank you for your time, Steven
Great looking art , 👍
Hello i could not get the ratio of water and malted barley, how much water and how much malted barley to produce the mash? Thank you
3 pound grain per gallon. 20% needs to be malted for starch conversion.
how many pounds of oyster shell you use for a 55 gallon drum
do u clean after every run or leave it seasoned like a skillet
They are so Pretty👏🏻
Will liquid malt extract work?
How do i make rum
Such a nice setup! I like it. If I get enough copper sheet I'll build the same )
How can I get to own one of these?
your controllers are they pid or scr? I am interested as I run a pid controller and I dont like it and am looking for scr
From Russia🇷🇺 with love❤
Quite impressive, seriously. 👍🏻
Best video I've seen on this. Thank you!
I stumbled across your video because I wanted to clean some copper jewelry...but the minute I saw your set up I was hooked. I just wanted to comend you on your sobriety, I am just new to this sober life and I just can't imagine how hard it must have been for you. Personally speaking I'm not sure if I could have gotten sober if I had the setup that you have. Unfortunately it took me getting chased by 6 cop car's while driving my husband's John Deere 🚜 the story gets a lot of laughs but honestly at my age it's just embarrassing. I just wanted to tell you that you made the right choice and you are not alone on this journey. Keep on getting on my friend ❤
Was your electric 110 or 220?
Man, thank you! This is the first 1 17:26 17:26 01 series that hasn’t left me saying “wait, what about…” or “ya but how does that…” Excellent job. I’m going to continue through the series and you got a new subscriber, my friend!
Did you stir the whole time off camera?
If u going for 10 gal of Mash, u use 15 gal water, do u use 3lbs corn for the 15 gal or the 10 gal but your working with 15 gal. Or, 3lbs per gal for 15 gal water=10 gal mash. 10 gal water + 5 gal + 45 lbs Corn + 30% Barley, Or 10 gal water + 5 gal +30 lbs corn + 30% Barley?
Sounds like somewhere in there is some good, solid knowledge to share- maybe next time lay off the buds before filming😂
thank you for that!
Dont u read this 1.080 not 1.800?
The wormcoil you said is technically called a “shell and tube” heat exchanger they use them in hvac applications I mean no disrespect just thought I’d let you know
it is not. there's 2 types of condensers in the world of distilling. worm condensers which are a copper coil inside of a tub, and then there's shell and tube condensers which is made up of a large tube sealed on both ends and has a bunch of pipes running in between. shell and tube condensers are more efficient but worm coils are easier and cheaper to make. plus to account for the efficiency you can cycle your water faster with a pump or run cooler water through it.
How do I get connected with you over PID controller?
There is no way on earth that I could set up a distillery, but I would truly LOVE to operate a fine column still like that one. I have been tempted for years to purchase a column still just to play with, but the wife and the law seem to believe that's a bad idea. That one is a real beauty!. I see this was posted a couple of years ago. I hope things have worked out well for you.
So are you going with rum gin or vodka and as that sells you will make whiskey? And with this still whats the volume your aiming for. Wish you luck and success.
Great video good lesson on cleaning. Very sorry the hooch got the hook better to stay strong. So sorry you parted with your rig.
Do you sell them f so How much are they?
please show a pic of what the mash should look like prior to adding yeast. I had little liquid the mash.
I think the sales rep is drunk 😂
New drinking game. You must drink every time someone says uhh
What are these vessels called? I’d like to find one to buy.
I think when people ask about the stick thing they’re asking about a coon dick, because they always have them on that show moonshiners
Not to cast disparity here but timing is everything in life. I literally, bought the equipment from a winery that was defunct, converted a two apartment carriage house into my winery, made the building more secure etc, had a decade of experience with wine making and paid for my application. 911 happened a month later, i heard nothing until 6 months later i was told that all applications were on hold as the ATF was under homeland security. I had already lost my rental income from the building when i decided to convert it, and now after purchasing all the equipment etc could no longer just hand out and wait. I was able to sell the equipment for a small profit as i bought it at an auction but overall was devastated about what happened as my dream was ruined. Anyway, it's been decades since then and i'm happy to say i may look into this again but not as a winery but distillery. Thanks for the good video! tom
Excellent vid! So do I run it in auto tune even after it figures out the math? Thanks
Which model is this? I have the itc106-vh does it have this feature?
Hays off to you for quitting drinking. How some ever the system you have is awesome and I'm sure it turns out some high proof very tasty stuff.
First off! Loved your interview with NGS! Love that family and their work! Question! The jar in the middle…..how long has that been sitting???
Hey just found these videos. My question is how much yeast do you use? I am planning on doing this to a scale of 7 gallons of water. Thanks
Great video excellent explanation
I’m pretty sure either one of those acids would work by itself. Vinegar is acetic acid and I don’t think you need the citric.
External mic...
Do you utilise a P.I.D. on your electric heated boiler? Does this minimise headings / tails etc
you'll never minimise your heads. you can play with the abv but you'll get the same volume of methanol and acetone each time. the tails you can just stop the distillation when you get to that part
