    Too much commercial time. I tried to do chores around the house, but I had to return every few minutes to "skip" commercials that otherwise would go on forever.

    Agree with Freeport, Nassau, and Curaçao. Haven’t been to Falmouth, but I’ve been to Ocho Rios and would not go back. Haven’t been to Mexico. Was going to skip altogether, but I want to see Perfect Day Mexico.

      I get a lot of feedback regarding both Nassau and Curacao stating they think they are great ports. Nassau has done a great job with the new port facility but I still think an excursion is needed if you want to spend any quality time there. Curacao is growing on me based upon my last time there. We had a really good time with a big excursion and skipped the downtown. Falmouth is just not safe other than within the fenced in port facility. That Perfect Day Mexico is very interesting and I, too, would love to check it out when it opens. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Interiors are normally around188 square feet depending on ship class and deluxe 206. The deluxe insides have a larger sofa thereby adding the extra cabin space. There is also more room between the bed and bathroom. Location is not any better in the ship than a regular cabin & price varies by sailing many times the same for both all depends on availability. I hope that helps!

    Never take America cruise line, they screwed us out of $10,000 a few years ago when we were unable to leave because of a hurricane closing the airport. They care not . There insurance cost a fortune . Just stay away from American Cruise line

      That is horrible. Normally all insurances include natural disasters such as hurricanes and tornadoes. They are not cheap to cruise with and I am sure that the insurance wasn't either. It is normally about 10% of the cruise fare. Sorry for your misfortune but thank you for sharing and for watching!

They did n-t offer anything to us like catching a later cruise or meeting the boat days later. We would never take American cruise line. Great video. My wife and I are taking an Alaska cruise out of Seattle on Cunard on the Queen Elizabeth in Aug/Sept 2025. Do you know if the embarkation will be from Pier 91 Seattle? I haven't as yet been advised which pier but I assume it will be Pier 91 as for other Carnival brands. Pier 91 looks a bit chaotic - hopefully there will be clear Cunard signage! I have a left field question, no problem if not your wheelhouse, we are flying into Seattle on Air Canada from Australia, transiting through Vancouver airport. Do you know if we are required to clear US customs and Immigration at Vancouver Airport or when we land in Seattle. I've had conflicting advice. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks.

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I am so glad that you enjoyed the video. I hope that you found it helpful. Cunard sails from both Pier 91 as well as downtown Pier 66. NCL normally is berthed at Pier 66. Most Cunard cruises I have seen will go out of Pier 91. That is the same berth that I used for our Alaska cruise on Celebrity. There is some traffic congestion entering the port but it is actually not too bad. There is normally only two ships max in port so you will see Cunard easily. Your taxi, Uber or shuttle will drop you off at baggage drop between each of the ships. The terminal itself was a bit congested but there is plenty of seating if you have to wait. The check-in is done mostly online so just make sure you complete all of that prior to arriving at the port to save time. Since you are arriving through Vancouver on Air Canada, I would assume that you will do immigration on the Seattle side being that it is not a US Airline. US Airlines normally will check your immigration details prior to getting onboard the departing plane. Since it is a Canadian carrier, they may confirm your passport and immigration details before leaving Australia. I would suggest that you check with Air Canada for confirmations and understand exactly what you will need. The Seattle airport and the cruise ports are managed by the same agency so they are linked. You can check your luggage with the cruise line upon return and it will be transferred to the airport and to your return airline if you are flying back same day of debarkation after your cruise. Thanks so much for sharing and for watching!

      Good for you! I would also look at Viator and Shore Excursions Group, tours by locals etc. Halifax was a nice place to explore on your own as was PEI. The smaller ports, do your research regarding what is around that is walkable. I didn't think Portland had much of a downtown area to explore. There are third party providers that might be able to create a tour just for you. Have a great cruise!

    Celebrity is far from a premium cruise line. Try Seaborn or Oasis. They make Celebrity’s huge overcrowded ships seem Carnival class!,, sorry

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Celebrity Cruises is Royal Caribbean Group's premium product while Silversea is it's Luxury product. Same can be said from Carnival with Holland America, Cunard and Princess being it's premium products. Seaborn is classified as in the Luxury market segment. Each major cruise line has a mass market offering geared towards families many with mega ships, premium products and normally also a luxury or ultra luxury offerings. Others, again like Celebrity, Seaborn and others also have products in the expedition segment. Celebrity is found in the premium segment. If smaller or intimate sailings are what you like and can afford, then Seaborn is a fantastic choice!

    I agree with all you likes and dislikes except Nassau. We were there this summer and it is the first time we have enjoyed the port in our last 6 stops. The NEW port is much cleaner, more open and the local vendors are much less aggressive. We actually stayed n the port for a full 6 hours and had a great time. The new Nassau port layout is much, much better!

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great comment! The new port is so much better but still very touristy. Nassau is still a must do excursion port since even though the shops and vendors are less aggressive, it is still just small shops with stuff made in China. The straw market downtown is open again so that is very cool to experience and Senior Frogs is open again (though I have never been nor do I ever want to go) so that is good for the party crowd. There are still travel advisories to not not venture past the downtown due to crime from gangs. The downtown is dirty and has nothing but tourist traps and Diamond International Stores. Go to Atlantis or take and excursion to Blue Lagoon. Thanks so much for sharing and for watching.

    I have been cruising in the Caribbean since the 70’s, been to all the ports except those in Cuba. I agree with most of your choices, with the exception of Curaçao. The architecture and history are amazing. I would also add to the favorites, St. Barts, and Grand Cayman.

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The architecture is amazing from the port view but I did not like the internal island outside of the cruise port area. We have been there a few times since this video and I agree that it is growing on me. We have done excursions outside of the tourist areas and it is a very interesting port and beautiful culture and people. It is a great port to visit if you are doing an excursion or have a lot of time in port to explore. St Barts is amazing but so difficult to get to. Grand Cayman has declined in my opinion having been there twice in the last four years. You must do an excursion there since the downtown is now almost non-existent. Thanks so much for sharing and of course for watching!

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The only "windows" that you need to be concerned about are the infinite veranda staterooms on Edge Class Ships. These balcony staterooms are not your typical balconies but those with the window that opens to give you the feeling of open air and full views of the sea. There are standard balcony staterooms on Edge Class ships that have a structural huge circle steel support outside of the sliding glass door balconies located one the middle and upper decks forward. These are Port Hole Verandas. They are normally a bit cheaper than the Infinite Veranda Staterooms. Solstice and Millennium Class ships do not have the Infinite Veranda window staterooms. Thanks so much! Lots of great tips. Also thank you for the allergen card -- I'm going to make a version for myself (I'm not 100% avoiding grains and root veges... I'm simply trying to eat "clean" and focus on protein except beef. I consider myself pescetarian. :) ) My kiddo has severe food allergies, and I have no issue speaking up and doing this for him -- but I'm coming up on a cruise that he won't be on and it hadn't occurred to me to speak up for myself!!

    Not trying to be harsh…a little constructive criticism. The word “very” is overused. It makes the viewer think you were unintelligent or unaware. It makes us distrust your ability to discern if this is a good cruise line or not. I had to stop watching him and comment and I’ll move onto another video. If this is a struggle, take a writing class and write out whatever you’re saying first. Open up at thesaurus. But honestly, you don’t have to use any words that emphasize what you’re talking about. I thought it was an excellent observation that there were no flashing or very bright lights. That was good enough on his own. Sorry if this was annoying I appreciate the effort and your passion for celebrity cruises .

    Loved Curaçao!!! As mentioned... Pretty on arrival. Laid back atmosphere. A few shopping options. BUT YES, we did an awesome excursion.... Liquor factory saw flamingos in natural habitat.. and a few other notable stops. One port on your "No list" ....thats is a "Yes" for me. Otherwise great info in this segment 😉

      On a more recent visit we also did an excursion this time and saw the flamingos (just a few unfortunately) went to a beach that was pretty nice and then to some very cool caves near the airport. I absolutely feel that you need an excursion there but it is a very unique place. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

    Despite Virgin having the best entertainment, their food sucks, ship design is simple and cheap, customer service is nonexistent. They are just different and people were happy about it (me included) but they are clearly overrated.

      That is a new perspective to be honest but I absolutely respect your opinion and experience. I think the food is much better than Holland America and Celebrity. We did have a nasty steak at Pink Agave but the rest of the food was outstanding. They are different for sure and are not for everyone. I like the change of pace but never had bad customer service. Thanks for sharing your experience and for watching!

    Here’s my opinion…we went on Celebrity Millennium in 2019 to Alaska for our first ever cruise. The website from the beginning was easy to use and had lots of phone# to get answers for different topics. I just got back from Holland Zuiderdam from the Caribbean. Their website only has one customer service phone# that you are on hold forever to finally get someone who doesn’t have the answers to your questions because they are overwhelmed and put you on hold forever. The entertainment on Holland was awful. They had one good comedian one good singer and the rest of the 8 nights of entertainment was the same group over and over. The food on Celebrity was much better and you never had to stand in line like on Holland. Also there were many times I couldn’t find a table to sit at on Holland. My Veranda room at front of ship on Holland swayed a lot all the time. The Veranda room on Celebrity in back never swayed. I would highly recommend Celebrity over Holland.

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Actually those are very good comparisons. I would recommend using an experienced travel agent for your cruises since we have dedicated partner support customer service and can handle any customer service issue you have, many times without even calling the cruise lines. If we do have to call in, there is usually just a few minute hold. I log into the same systems that the phone reps you speak to do. Also, I agree that the food on Celebrity is normally much better in the buffet than HAL. The design of the buffet on HAL drives me nuts due to the lines and ridiculous small stations. Due to the demographic on HAL, things move at a snails pace and lines are horrible. Your food is cold before you can even sit down. The main dining room on HAL has been better than Celebrity over the last year which concerns me about Celebrity. I have not had any issues with movement on any of the Pinnacle or Signature Class ships from HAL but I never book a complete forward stateroom on any cruise ship since I feel that is where most of the motion is going to be noticed - especially on higher decks. Thanks so much for sharing your opinion and for watching!

    How does someone “pre” purchase something? What is the pre part? Because wouldn’t you just be purchasing their bar tab? You’re still purchasing it

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most things such as a wi-fi package or the bar tab is less expensive before the cruise than once onboard the ship. All cruise lines have an online account cruise planner where you reserve shore excursions, add specialty dining reservation, and with Virgin select your bar tab amount. You are correct that all of these are additional purchases but it is always to your benefit to purchase these before your cruise to get the lower price and the date and times for other items before they sell out. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

    • @camerachris
      @camerachris หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ , my question is more about your wording of “pre-paying”, you either pay, or you don’t. The pre to paying is doing nothing. Up until the point of paying you aren’t paying, you pay when you pay. It’s an action unto itself. The pre would be getting your credit card out.

    ❤ Thank you for making this video. I been looking for a cruise that has a well manner travelers base. Because I've seen some crazy stuff on carnival to the points of brawls and this is why i avoid that cruise line. I have been on Royal Caribbean twice and so far it's been decent but I have seen some crazy folks for time to time that don't behave or even dress appropriately . After seeing this video im sure my wife and i would like to give celebrity a try trust me we need a break after working long hours in the medical field. Now that being said is there any activities for my kids that are at the ages of 18 and 13??

      I am on Celebrity this week and the demographic is very well behaved and upscale. We love it and I am sure that you would too! There are lots of activities around the ship that your kids can participate in during the day and in the evenings. There is a teen club with video games and activities too. There is not as much as with Royal Caribbean but still a good amount. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

    Great video. We're planning our first cruise and have always wanted to see the Caribbean. However the most convenient time for us to travel is in july and we're a bit hesitant since it's in the beginning of hurricane season-would you say the weather in July is a significant concern when visiting the Caribbean?

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have lived in South Florida for over 20 years and July is very hot in the Caribbean but you should not experience hurricanes. The heaviest hurricane season will be from late August through the end of October into early November. July will have less options for you to choose from but many cruise lines are sailing to the Caribbean year round now. The major Caribbean season is November through end of April with a huge assortment of cruise itineraries to choose from. Let me know if I can help plan and book with you! If the debarkation line doesn’t start before 7-7:15 and it moves extremely fast what is the advantage of getting in line at 6:30

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We tend to like to exit the ship as early as possible to get a jump on traffic. We used to park offsite and the more time we have always helps. If we sail out of Port Everglades, we now take an Uber. At about 7:00 am there will be a few hundred guests in line and it will wrap around the entire debarkation deck. Even with a moderately fast moving line, this will take a lot of time. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

    10/10 for Celebrity. I recently travelled on Quantum of the Seas, oh my, there’s no comparison between these two companies and surprising enough they are owned by the same company. The difference is the history of Celebrity, formerly owned by Chandris Lines. The captain and Crew must always remain Greek and the X must always be their Logo, X being the Greek letter for C or Ch. I have been on Chandris ships way back in the 60s and 70s and couldn’t wait to get on board a Celebrity the moment they came to Australia. When it comes to comparing with RCC It’s all about class, soft decor, tasteful furnishings and wall art and of course the food, way above RCC. Celebrity do not focus on toys, games, slides, climbing walls and other adult play areas. Their outdoor seating is padded and a dream to sit on. The entertainment is amazing, no one man bands or poor musicians. Ok I’m obviously biased. Celebrity it is, from there oldest up to now 2024. ❤🇬🇷❤🇬🇷❤🇬🇷

    • @seemoreseascruises3791
      @seemoreseascruises3791 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is amazing how different RCC is from Celebrity but that is by design. Royal has RCC as the mass market product and Celebrity as the Premium product. They source, plan and execute very differently. I really enjoy most everything from Celebrity with the exception of a few times their execution could have been better lately. We are on the Beyond at the end of this coming week for 10 days. We are really looking forward to it. Thanks so much for sharing and for watching!

      Great addition to the conversation for sure! There are very few options for Montreal but several smaller ships do embark and end in Montreal. I just had a very large group sail from Montreal. I want to be alone. I don't want entertainment. I don't want an amusement park. I don't need fancy dining. I just want to sleep late, read a book and look out on the ocean. Is there a cruise ship for the likes of me? I'm also 76 years old. There are no more passengers taken on freighter ships 😢.

    • @seemoreseascruises3791

      I get it for sure. I think that some of the older, smaller Royal Caribbean or NCL ships might provide you with a decent fare, especially the NCL solo rates. If you sail outside of school holidays, there should be few kids. There are many quiet spots and the food is good but not over the top. Other than that, the smaller Holland America ships would seem to be a good fit. Thanks for sharing and for watching.
