It seems that women are so focused on being like men, and so offended if you treat them differently than men that they have lost their femininity to a large degree. I have always thought and felt that women are equal to men yet different from them. I will always think and feel that way. Here are some generalities: Women are better at nurturing than men. Women are better at multitasking than men. Women are more emotionally sensitive than men. Women are smaller than men. Women are infinitely more attractive than men (to me). Women are more detail oriented than men. They talk more than men. The list can go on and on. Women and men are different in so many ways. I believe those differences should be celebrated and NOT minimized. I want a feminine woman. I want a woman who appreciates a masculine man. I want to be her protector and to make her feel safe. To provide for her. Not because she can’t provide for herself but because it elevates my sense of purpose and value. I want to fix her car, change her oil, lift what is too heavy for her to lift. I want to reach things on the top shelf for her. When we go for walks I want to make sure that I position myself between her and the traffic. I will protect her from harm and bad people. I will give my life to keep her safe if necessary. I will tell her how beautiful she is when she feels les than attractive and simply worship every feminine difference that sets us apart. I will be violent in her defense and gentle and kind in my actions toward her. In return I want a woman who appreciates that she is different from men and appreciates that I KNOW she is different from men. I want her to look her best for me. Not because I want an arm trophy but because she takes pride in herself, her appearance, her hygiene and wants me to be proud to be with her. I want her to be discrete when she belches and passes gas and I will do the same for her. I could go on for much longer but ai think I have made my point. Men are pretty basic if you allow us to be. We are like a work truck. We need fuel and basic maintenance and we’ll be a beast of burden and get things done. Women are like a high performance race car or a Rolls Royce or a Jaguar. Their wiring is more complex, they have more valves, and switches and require more maintenance. BUT if a man is wise and patient enough to do the maintenance on these high performance works of art with the sleek lines and curves, then he can travel in style and elegance. A man and a woman compliment each other. They elevate each other and they can accomplish much more in life by combining their strengths and weaknesses. I do not want to haul my trash to the dump in the trunk of my Jaguar and I do not want to drive my work truck on a long road trip from Oregon to the Florida Keys. If a woman nods her head in agreement while reading this, that is the feminine mentality I believe is in high demand and low supply these days. If she scoffs while reading it then that answers your question.

More than once I was the guy who was 'just a friend'. And, to me, I was their friend. I did not know I was these girls' fallback option until maybe a year later in a few cases when I ended up with them (or rejecting them) and they told me that when I had met their boyfriends that after the meeting the boys told the girls not to hang around me any more. Sara, in my personal experience with my ex-wife, she missed the "life" and excitement of running around with different dudes. Of course I was naive at the time and didn't understand this. She was busy cheating under the veil of "working late" or pulling a night shift to get her dangerous excitement.

My dad's second wife faked her personality for the first couple months of their marriage. After that she was completely insufferable. She once told my sister that "your father didn't want you kids. I was accused of being "controlling" by saying I wasn't willing to be in a relationship with her because she insisted on continuing to talk to her ex-husband (whom she has no kids with, no property with, or any business with). I told her that I am not controlling her. I'm setting a boundary and giving her a choice. She can talk to him every day if she wants to. 3 times a day if she wants. Just not with me.
