My problem was the bolts that connect the pedal to the frame came loose.

For that upper line, you used a hacksaw blade. Do you think there a cordless reciprocating saw could get in there? Maybe with a short blade? I know the space is tight in there. But I'm not patient for a manual saw. LOL.

Fantastic video! Made taking this off a breeze. My only suggestion is to take the new rotor down to Lowes and get some metric machine screws that screw into the two holes on it....Use those screws to get the old rotor off, it makes the whole thing so much easier! Good luck!

when i turn my car on it sputters and shakes. But when i put in in reverse and the drive the sputtering stops. if i accellerate to get on the freeway it sputters again. any thoughts? yes my oil needs changed and my air filter yeah i guess it could but it still looks really good. I just bought the car a few months ago. i noticed the transmission fluid is black.....YIKES. could it be that? ive never seen that. or could the jet black oil and black tranny fluid both be the issues and need dealt with quick? could it need a tune up, im sure it would help but not sure it would cause that extreme sputter.

Does the car shake when your idle? If so then it might be spark plugs or ignition coil or the valves or timing belt.

wonder if you can help diagnose a couple problems i am having with my 2006 pontiac pursuit, perhaps you may have had the same exp? 1) when i put the car in drive(also i think it happens in reverse too)and let it roll on its own sometimes the eng seems to be struggling as i see the the rpm needle go up n down and can feel the eng like its struggling also when i am driving and come to a stop as im breaking and come to full stop i see the engine rpm needle rev up and back down? 2) when i put the car in drive go forward a bit and hit the breaks i hear a clunking noise ,i put it in reverse and apply the breaks and the same thing happens only when i do any of those this noise happens after that the noise is gone ,it sounds like either the break pads or master cylinder or perhaps the transmission i am not sure but i do not see how the break system has to do with the tranny yet it does happen when i shift gears only ,is there some kind of connection? i did change the rotor and pads myself but not sure if this noise was there before that i can remember ,thanks for any help or advise you can give me

If you are replacing the rotor you are better off smacking it around the outside of the rotor. Then you won't have to worry about accidentally hitting the lugs 😁 And use a 2-5 lb sledge. Not a carpenters hammer...
