@@kevinspahr6632 yes... they do shift but this was way cheaper than concrete. If someone has the money for concrete... absolutely, go for it.

@@robertd6925 water was 2-3' from the top of the embankment of the station. Everything i was brushcutting would have been over top of the excavator in water. 14 days straight and so much work ahead. Alot of video but no time to edit right now.

@instantwagner I would choose Husqvarna or Stihl and be content... except reviewing history of models in every brand's line. Kind of like a Ford and Chevy debate where you can point to some excellent models/years and some that have poor reputation. For my personal dollar, I buy Husqvarna and the 455 and 592xp have been good for me. The Fire Dept I work for has all Stihls and we have had good service out of them and some that turned into paperweights. I have high respect for both.

I don't mind digging into an adventure of fixing things, rigging things, and finally decided someone else might appreciate the sharing like I have from others. @DanTheMan3 not every system really requires it, but I have learned to make 100% sure there are no air pockets and it saves time by making sure it is truly filled to the right level than running it a couple times and having to add. One thing I really like about the vacuum system is figuring out it won't hold a vacuum due to a leak before you waste some antifreeze.

@DanTheMan3 for which hose? ... probably the easiest is a seamstress tape, or flexible tape to measure diameter. If you tell me what year, make, model, I'll see if I can give you the specifics.

@dawsonwright2591 get some needle nose and it still will probably turn. Someone likely turned it the wrong direction 90deg and broke it off... which I have before to!

Quick note... even since the video..... this tool has proved its worth so many times. Here is a starting pint and you can get the name/size right and even search Amazon or other distributors.

This isn’t a great tool, actually. It forces quick disconnects to work in a way they weren’t designed for. Using often this tool will result in damages to quick disconnect seals reducing their service life and could threaten the operator safety. The good practice is to replace quick disconnects not designed to get coupled under pressure with others equipped with an internal pressure relief system. Each major brands has such models into its product range, hence it’s easy to source that stuff.

@stefanospoto567 respectfully disagree unless you are referring to these being under full pressure. That would be an unloading issue. It's been a great tool, and I do not have any safety concerns with it.

@CRAZY_VIDS07 that MAP sensor being clogged will cause a loss of 1-2mpg. If I am pulling the excavator and loaded with tools I will get close to 10. We are in mountainous terrain. The only time I get 11-12 mpg is on the interstate, not pulling machines.

The blue is likely your kill switch wire. Does it have a female midline and a female end?... look in front of the red kill switch for 2 empty male blades.

It was definitely a source of weeping oil... more toward the rear of the cover. The right side valve cover will come off soon for a rocker arm. I would suggest just going ahead and doing anything else possible under the cover while in there... especially on the left side! So much to go through on the left.

I've learned to look for such things in thrift stores lol

That is so awesome to hear. Dads inspire much. If it wasn't for my dad, I would have waited out concrete, which would have meant another year, two, or more struggling with the next leap. Prayers for your dad, thankful he has someone like you to address these issues. Many do not! Some compaction beneath this would have been awesome, but I just had to say, time to just make it better! Treasure the time with your dad!

When i evaluated anything "hot" in the roof, it was because a switch had been turned on to the ac etc....however, there are power circuits there for rear work lights, the radio harness etc. I just decided to run my own power up the right side b post.

There are no torque specs listed in the service manual for the drain plug. That is one spec I never look up and us some say "snug it". With the seal washer, I would say it is somewhere between 17-22lbs...ish.

Sure was. That was my first visit to this property. I will build detailed maps for the hunter's use (food sources, water, bedding, stands etc. Along with lane plans) but i have not tracked and scouted this property. The more detail i can gather, the more purposeful the work can be. Such a beautiful spot!

I had never been to this property before so it was scouting as I go. There were some dippy/trippy slop portions that would have concered me with the loader on, but i sure missed having it in some moments, even with a regular bucket. This space really need my excavator... brushcutter, bucket, tilt bucket to really repair some road and open some steeper areas up. The best part was having the pto HP of the MX6000 for the brushcutter, perdect for those portions.

@larrydoesschtuff Yeah I feel the same way. It is a lot of fun. Do you ever feel like you need a cab?

@Lanninglongarmmowing yes and no. The single biggest reason for no cab choice on the kx71-3 is that there is an option for heating but AC is not an option. Second was... without statistics to back it up, glass is the #1 excavator part. Third, price.... when i bought this one, the payment was max budget. Adding the cab or going up a model was a no go. I do wish i had a cab many times, especially when its raining, super cold out. For the brush mower add on, i think the screen build would be needed either way.

I found it strange that there wasn't an adapter already and couldn't find any videos doing this. I lloked at pendulums, cone style, and so many... I really loved the Sides Spreader brand, but out of price range for my goals. I bought a soil conditioner from Quick attach a while ago, and I can see this spreader being used for seed to, but I'll experiment with the flow shield in the hopper to make that work right.

No problems with the gearbox for me. Keeping the angle from exposing the underneath toward the cab really limits projectiles but i would say yes, definitely build a protector screen. I have some #9 expanded metal that i plan on building something with for it but havent had the time yet.

Did you get hydraulic controls for the back? I dont see why you couldnt crown properly with an 8'. My boxscaper is 84" and 6" added on each side shouldnt hurt a thing.

@@larrydoesschtuff Yup, got 3 remotes. Haven’t got top and tilt yet as I was considering a road runner where the hydraulics are on the attachment instead. Thanks for the advice, 8ft it is.

I describe the tilt bucket like this: With a regular just grading bucket, it's like an artist painting without a wrist. With a tilt bucket, it's like you finally have a wrist. As far as the advertising/business aspect.... I have some ideas on some videos to make on the subject. Keep in mind that I have a particular niche or size box of business I operate in now and intend to in the future. I do not have a goal of a fleet of machines and multitudes of employees. That part is a huge decision that will relate to marketing and what you spend on advertising... however, word of mouth of quality work, reasonable price, shows up on time, and so much more will be free advertising and quite possibly all you will ever have to do. A Facebook page is free. I build websites and do graphic work as well, so my website cost per year is very minimal. In fact, i use the website mostly for storage, behind the wall transactions, etc. I have business cards, but I use my high-quality jpg image of it to text most customers instead of handing them a card. If that customer refers your company to another person, they can just text them your image card. Last thought for a lengthy response (but i have 100 other ideas)... is, I warned myself against spending advertising money that brings in far more work than I can handle, so in the end, I wasted some of that money. Looking back... I can hardly think of a job that came from any kind of paper or electronic advertising. All working your circle, word of mouth, referrals from other customers, and I have more than I can handle right now.

Ill add some more cams at some point to vary the view even more... hopefully to help make some multitasking easier to learn like on a tractor... every control, every action. I have 0 lack of power need with this 60 horse. But everything is also as Kubota would say, "power matched". I am a conservative operator for the most part, safetey first... ill yrust my gut early and skip a section and save it for the excavator mower.

@@larrydoesschtuff The little killer B doesn't have a power problem, it is a traction problem. It spins out or slides out on the slightest inclines on my property. Even with diff lock engaged.

@AnomadAlaska are your tires loaded with ballast? Weight can be bad or good in some circumstances. My bx23 had that low end torque that could spin easy in certain settings.

Finally home... Are you talking about the left side of the auxiliary circuit, out on the boom? Left side facing the reservoir tank etc.?

I also have a BX....BX23d..2006 model with about 1500hrs on it. I could have built a business with just that and stayed in that niche. The 23 and 25 are pretty close but i am much more used to my 23. Did i wish i had towed my kx71-3 to WV...oh yes! I may still do that!

I am currently shopping for a bolt on grappel and 3rd function for his tractor. Ill make a video when we get it done.
