- Honestly, it is awesome to work in the engine compartment of these of these F150s.... SO MUCH SPACE!
Small facture in this radiator but it must be replaced. Not too bad of a process but I sure hope tips from the video help.
Also, is pulling a vac necessary for refilling coolant? as a simple DIYer
@DanTheMan3 not every system really requires it, but I have learned to make 100% sure there are no air pockets and it saves time by making sure it is truly filled to the right level than running it a couple times and having to add.
One thing I really like about the vacuum system is figuring out it won't hold a vacuum due to a leak before you waste some antifreeze.
Pretty much I think I have this issue at 6:50 where there is a hairline crack in the rad because I have coolant dripping down right side of rad from what I can see with this disassembly yet. Or those crimps on the side. th-cam.com/video/T84CPkfP7rs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ltycx_1PXOJnSMkt&t=408
@@DanTheMan3 Ford Tech makalukmoklakkamoco is a good channel!.. I wasn't even gonna try to spell that right now
what are those compression sleeved rings called?
@@DanTheMan3 advanced auto refers to them as "smart seal" clamps
@@DanTheMan3 ps... if you find that silicone on the degas line on the resevoir... learned later that came from a sloppy water pump repair that I believe I made a video on
@@larrydoesschtuff good to know, I’ll remove it if I find in mine
what size smart seal clamps would I need?
@DanTheMan3 for which hose? ... probably the easiest is a seamstress tape, or flexible tape to measure diameter.
If you tell me what year, make, model, I'll see if I can give you the specifics.
