    The mini-led is brighter, but look how washed out it. It looks like ass. Brighter does not equal better. I like having the ability to see the game's textures instead of seeing all that bloom. I could only imagine settings the PG32 to 1700 would only make it look even more washed out. Can't even see the details in the clouds.

    • @rcdarkangel
      @rcdarkangel 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It’s the other way around. I have this on my desk with two oleds and the most striking thing about it was realising how much detail was being lost in HDR scenes in things like clouds due to how dim they are. In SDR, the oleds wipe the floor with the PG32UQX, in HDR it’s the complete opposite and it’s not even close.

Until firing up the PG32UQX, it's beyond gorgeous. Now i'm torn at which to keep, may keep both.

    i have a PG32UQX, LG C2 42", 55" S95D, 85" QN900C, a Viewsonic 15.6 4k OLED portable monitor, and the PG32UQX destroys the OLEDs when it comes to HDR contents even the S95D. When the sun rises, it blinds my eyes, when playing God of War, it is breathtaking!! I can see all of details of the armors in God of War, the metals parts of the armors and axe look very shinny and bright while all they look dull on the OLEDs. One of the games where the OLEDs shine is Lies of P where the environments in the games are generally on the darker side. Even when viewing SDR, the Asus looks better than the OLEDs since it can go much brighter. Some people say a good monitor/tv is not about brightness, but it is when it comes to HDR. When the specular highlights in a video/movie is meant to be seen at 1000nit, your monitor needs to reach 1000nit for you to see them. Same goes with 1550 nit. 2000 nit...etc. OLED displays provide infinite contrast, but it doesn't mean it can provide the HDR impact such as a sun is rising up along the horizon. HDR impact makes you feel like you are there in the scene. On the other hand, OLED displays do much better than mini led when viewing a scene where we see a lot of buildings in the city at night from a drone view, which mini led tv/monitor struggle to display a clear image which the micro contrast on an OLED really shines. I understand the strengths and weaknesses of both technology and that's why I decided to own both. There is no need to argue which is better, get what works for you.

      The G7 is more comparable (165 vs 144Hz) and that is almost half the price. Personally i'd rather the much higher quality, accuracy and much brighter ASUS! There are alot of similar options coming though for much cheaper from BenQ, Philips, FFalcon, etc...with 1152 zones and 1400+ nits. There are already some reviews out for them. But none are showing them in real content like this, mainly just the numbers and graphs....I hate when they just do that. I want to see what those numbers mean, how does it translate to real content (after tone mapping...tone mapping can really change the overall picture compared to the measurements depending on the manufacturer). 😄

    I cannot relate to this video at all. This person clearly has a strong like for high APL and peak brightness and isn't bothered by blooming. The assertion that miniLED's flaws don't appear often is wild. Blooming is obvious in nearly all environments when not gaming. It's especially obvious when browsing the web or moving the mouse cursor. I have owned several OLEDs and miniLEDs: *Alienware QD OLED monitor *Sony OLED TV *Asus MiniLED laptop I have also tried the Asus MiniLED he is using along with the Samsung Neo G8. They all have the same problem; *Obvious blooming -in windows, with subtitles, etc. *Terrible viewing angles *Limited micro contrast- 1000 dimming zones is just not enough *More input lag The list goes on. As long as you can mitigate the risk of burn-in, OLED's weakness is a lack of brightness above 20% window sizes. That doesn't happen often outside of high APL scenes in games and films.

    I never understood the fetish for more brightness? I mean I am using like 75 brightness now and if more I would feel like I am burning my retinas. OLED for me has never been too dimm. But with that said, HDR in Windows overall doesn't feel good yet for a set-and-forget usage. It's still buggy and sometimes not switch automatic or working at all for some games. I am gonna stick with my LG 32GQ950 that I know isn't even a Mini-LED but still got a very good picture imo. It's Nano IPS so very fast still and comes with a ATQ Polarizer that helps removing any IPS Glow (mine got none!) that you are used to. Still no deep OLED Blacks but I think I can wait bit more since burn-in is still also a factor if you're gonna use the monitor for anything else then just gaming and movies. I want Micro-LED now!

    1 Month later, there is finally a new king on the block in EU, and a true competitor to the Asus PG32UQX. TCL just released their new line of miniLED monitors, the 27R83U and the 34R83Q. Both are HDR 1400 VESA Certified, and can get over 2000 nits bright in 50%-75% windows, and even up to 2000 nits peak in 100% windows! They do go down to 1200 nits after 30 minutes of full white HDR images, while also having great pixel response time and they cost 800 euro. Has the PG32UQX finally been dethroned?

    I received the monitor a few days ago and I'm satisfied for the most part, but there is a weird issue. It has coil whine. Nothing new for Samsung, yeah. But what's weird about it is that the coil whine vanishes when I open the OSD or when I use the smart features. It's still there if I display a completely black screen, so it's not related to what's being displayed on the monitor, although the OSD makes it stop for some reason. HDMI or DP, lower brightness, VRR on or off, 240hz or 120hz, all of that makes no difference whatsoever. The coil whine seems to come from the lower middle part of the screen.

MINI LED looks more 3D. --color Volume/Density of TVs--- ---- color volume /Density -- Sony A80L , LG C3 C4 G3 G4-all WOLED S90D, S95C, A95L--QD-OLED Hisense U8K U8N UX, Samsung QN90D , SONY X95L Bravia 9, X90L -Mini LED> 😊 Red Luminance = A80L 92 cd/m² C4 104 cd/m² G4 140 cd/m² G3 140 cd/m² S95C 272 cd/m² HisenseUX 530 cd/m²--2023 Bravia9 551 cd/m²--2024 U8N 381 cd/m² U8K. 318 cd/m² Bravia7 356 cd/m² X95L 225 cd/m² X90L. 272 cd/m² S90D 281 cd/m² Green Luminance= A80L 317 cd/m² C4 333 cd/m² G4 426 cd/m² G3 420 cd/m² S95C 882 cd/m² HisenseUX. 1,656 cd/m²-2023 Bravia9 1,130 cd/m²--2024 U8N 1,433 cd/m² U8K 1,157 cd/m² Bravia7 . 834 cd/m² X95L 781 cd/m² X90L 778 cd/m² S90D 856 cd/m² Blue Luminance= A80L 33 cd/m² C4 38 cd/m² G4 49 cd/m² G3 53 cd/m² S95C 65 cd/m² HisenseUX 166 cd/m²--2023 Bravia9. 155 cd/m²--2024 U8N 127 cd/m² U8K 96 cd/m² Bravia7 127 cd/m² X95L 62 cd/m² X90L 91 cd/m² S90D 62 cd/m² Cyan Luminance= A80L 344 cd/m² C4 365 cd/m² G4 464 cd/m² G3 456 cd/m² S95C 950 cd/m² HisenseUX 2,001 cd/m²--2023 Bravia9 1,519 cd/m²--2024 U8N 1,532 cd/m² U8K 1,240 cd/m² Bravia7 1,265 cd/m² X95L 878 cd/m² X90L. 869 cd/m² S90D 919 cd/m² Magenta Luminance= A80L 120 cd/m² C4 134 cd/m² G4 179 cd/m² G3 177 cd/m² S95C 336 cd/m² HisenseUX 783 cd/m²-2023 Bravia9 698 cd/m²-2024 U8N 480 cd/m² U8K 398 cd/m² Bravia7 483 cd/m² X95L 294 cd/m² X90L 364 cd/m² S90D 342 cd/m² Yellow Luminance= A80L 405 cd/m² C4 425 cd/m² G4 546 cd/m² G3 546 cd/m² S95C 1,151 cd/m² HisenseUX 2,140 cd/m²-2023 Bravia9 2,427 cd/m²-2024 U8N 1,776 cd/m² U8K 1,475 cd/m² Bravia7 1,547 cd/m² X95L 1,154 cd/m²-2023 X90L 1,046 cd/m²-2023 S90D 1,133 cd/m²

    Can’t really see the difference because the video isn’t in HDR 🤦🏾‍♂️ missed opportunity, as it stands there isn’t a huge difference that can be concluded from this SDR vid

    Thats the Evidence thats VA is totaly Scrap! This Brown Cast of the Samsung VA Mini LED is very disgusting and the Colors are total excessive. By the Scene with the Forest 0:24 on the VA can see nothing treetops anymore. And by Scenery with the Mountain in the Back 3:24 on the VA can nothing seen of the City in front of the Mountain and the white Clouds are green, disgusting.

      He mentioned in the video that's only because of Samsungs decision to crush blacks alot for more of an OLED look. Nothing to do with the type of panel used. The UXQ with a really fast and high contrast VA panel with a good wide angle layer (making it look like IPS from straight on) would be even better than the IPS UQX for deeper blacks and less visible bloom but probably wouldn't have as good colour brightness....without significant optimising. But overall could be an improvement for the next version. I wonder if it's possible to replace the panel for a VA one or if the panel and back-light system come together as one piece.

    Its kind of a shame how the manufacturers limit the monitors when QD oled TVs can get alot brighter. The 10 percent window performance is very important for hdr gaming
