So if im new to credit (around 4months at this time) I have excellent payment history ect. From what I see the only things I have that need improvement is my credit age and having less hard inquiries. What would be the best way to try and get business credit going for my small Landscape company??

the entry exam in nyc is very tricky. i believe there is tons of cheating nd those that give out copies of the test. one of my neighbors in a mechanic and he is a total dummy. no way in hell he passed that test legit. people with connections get the test and answers. They ask various difficult math and volumetric questions, analytical bs. you have to pay to take the test. its a big money making operation.

Mr Wakefield I appreciate you understanding that these days regulation has pushed more tradesmen to have a desire to become licensed sooner to actually feed their family. Gone are the times of doing side work under the table and paying “friends” to sign for to take the exam. A more streamline way to become a licensed plumber would entice more people to get into the trade and be good at it by being able to support their families

This video has hit the nail on the head as far as the elevator trade and the union. It’s a trade where you get from it what you put into it. Work hard, learn the skills that are taught and needed and success is in your hands! After being in the elevator trade and with the union every step of it, I can honestly say that I am proud of the work we as a trade have done! I’m retired now and am enjoying those benefits that are revered across many trades! I’ve been fortunate to have worked in all the divisions of the elevator field and have always tried to help educate and be educated by all of my fellow brothers and sisters! The learning part never stops from either side and it has been a very rewarding and satisfying career! Not many trades last for such a long time as I have put in more than 40 years! I see this trade and many others growing every day and becoming better and better!

To get corporate credit you haveto have atleast a 780 unless you’ve been established for a year then 660 or 680 I’ve tried the ein loan and credit cards through a corporation but they wouldn’t allow anything because I’ve only been in business 4 months and I’m not at 780. Build your score up or pay out of pocket.

Update on this. Don't buy their service. Get Nav and start opening net 30s. Just google net 30s that report to the three main. I was able to monitor progress with Nav for around 43 bucks a month. Then when you pay off the net 30s and wait a month, then it reports to some of them. Then open up some lines of credit that report to the agencies. Once you do that you can get the Nav credit card with no personal pull, they start you low like 250 a month. I haven't got it in the mail yet. But then you can start utilizing that card. Just do some research. I put about 2 hours a day toward research. But you are doing research instead of paying 4000 bucks for this service he provides. If you are a small business trying to just get started. Start with Nav and 30 day nets.

Where are these 100k/yr jobs??? Let alone $350k/yr. What a joke. Only guys I hear make any money are business owners paying their trade guys nothing. Wage increases in the next ten years!?!?!? In the last 19-15 years where I live wages are actually dropping thanks to mass immigration. And you want to know what I hear from actual business owners... The trades guys hooked on powerful substances are their favorite employees because they are always hungry for hours to cover their addictions. So they are willing to kill themselves to be fast and look like star employees. You guys don't mention the short career of the trades. Tell them how many guys are on the tools at 60 yrs old. Not every guy is a supervisor. Then discuss the horrible attitudes of foreman's or bosses towards new guys. I see the older guys frequently have zero patience to train the new young guys and tend to just scream and swear at them. It's funny how I'm the guy in my 50's that is expected to ONLY work with the new young guys and get them trained. So I'm accused of being too slow while the foreman takes only the experienced young guys to work with until my new trainee has learned the basics and now understands what is going on... Then the foreman grabs my new guy to assist him while I work solo because his superstar has court for his latest criminal charge. Then you mentioned safety. If you work commercial or industrial the safety standards are very high. If you work residential or for a factory there is no safety... It's just work fast and if you get hurt you better be quiet about it or say it happened at home or we will fire you. You'd be blown away if you saw all the accidents I've seen in just the past 6 months at one particular company. One young guy just lost part of the vision in one of his eyes when a screw accidentally hit him in the eye (no safety glasses) and he panicked and yanked it out.

Ok. So just got approved for company credit card through NAV for 250 bucks. (No they didn't pull my personal credit) Yes it is a small card, but I plan to use it and get credit increases. I just started adding Net 30s to my account and bought the NAV service that shows your DUN, Equifax, and Experian business credit. By just adding a couple net 30s and paying them off, I am off to the races. You can do it yourself and NAV was around 50 bucks every 3 months. Paydex is up to 80 now. Experian is up to 91. The hard one is Equifax. I am still trying to find something to report to that.
