W211 ‘08 Mercedes-Benz License Plate LED Light Housing Install
where’d you get the rear view mirror from man?
I guess you only have one hand didn’t understand this one bit lmao 😮
Do you know which beam tech bulb these are now on Amazon? The links no longer work. Thanks in advance!
The mirror was a right pita to get back in! In the end I had to use a large flat head screwdriver and compress the spring away from opposing side with the unit in place on one side and it popped straight in.
Hello were did get that logo Mercedes thank you
I wish you showed us where the brake controller wire is for the trailer in the back of the vehicle to use it for a 7 way plug.
This was SUPER helpful. To remove the 12 volt outlet, unscrew it from the back side. To disconnect it you will need to cut the zip tie, open it up like a clam shell, and then pull the connectors out sideways. Also, my trunk would not open until I used a screw driver, to simulate latching it.
Pro tip here. 1st take off your watch lol.
No 😀
@@MercedesTech lol
did u use a 6pk2400 belt
What a pain in the ass. There is no other way to do it. I tried it myself on my w211 2007, they are exactly like yours. One thing to consider is that the warning triangle holder is removed by pushing the small plastic bracket in the middle which is pointing left and then you have to push/strafe everything left.
I have a 2000 S320 and did the same procedure as you did, all light are working perfectly, Glove box, Make Up mirrors, interior lights and Door lights as well. Just the trunk 😮 that always seems that only one LED is working when on the other side a normal lamp is installed 🙈 If I put 2 LEDs the trunk lights don’t work, they just start to blink or flash 😩
There was no point of this video
You should say what each size is a you put in the bulb so we sont'.Or at least say more than one. The glove box is 38mm.
Good Review.
Where did you purchase the lights on the door with the Mercedes Benz emblem
What wiring harness did you end up using to plug into the green connector on the vehicle then into the controller? Or did you use that same harness but rewired it? What wiring diagram did you use? Thanks...
2007 model stock parking light has a greenish colour and also has an aluminium plate screwed with the light which seems like a long plastic light attached to it. Very difficult to remove without tearing off the whole headlights from the car. Maybe i wont touch them during my led conversion process
Big Thanks 👏🏼👏🏼👍ends up in the Boot/Trunk 😳😳😳😳
is this the maxipro 808 BTW or is that one different
How difficult would you say this job is? Video makes it look a bit scary ngl lol
It’s pretty involved. Being the super charged model there are a couple of extra things but yes, intermediate to say the least.
@@MercedesTech For sure I’ll give it a shot. Bought my c32 a week ago and this is how it rewards me🥲
@@MercedesTechany advice on how to put the new gasket on? Been trying for 30 minutes it just doesn’t want to stay put
I bought from Amazon some LED Bulbs without that black box to it. Like a stick replacement. Installed on my 2000 CLK 430 no problem. Tried doing the same on my 2009 E350 sport and only the yellow fog lights work now. When I tried with headlights one worked passenger. When I did driver the headlights flickered now the only part of headlights that work is passenger side high beam. The LED Fog lights never stopped working nor blinkers. I reinstalled new stock halogen bulbs and can't get them to work. Checked fuse box on driver side door and no fuse seems to be blown. Any help?
Awesome video! Thanks man. I couldn't figure it out and this walked me right thru it on a 2008 E350 sport. 🐐
where did the W124 go ?? Thats the car
Лампочка w5w в багажнике ?
Can it read the door ajar?
Co na nohy světlo, kdy bude svítit???
Hey, which ones did you use for the rear dome light? I set them new led one's and the light doesn't work, then I put the old ones in and they worked, could it be that mine weren't drawing in enough power?
How do i remove this with a s211 (kombi)
From what I can see I don’t think it does come off. I have never removed one from a liftgate, only truck lids. It would probably be easier to just replace the bulbs on that model
Why there is no mentioning about the length of a new strut? From the factory, they come inflated and thus extended. So you can't put them right in without deflating with a STAR diagnostics tool! This is totally different story then. Waste of time if trying to put without the costly STAR tool!!!
This is not true. They are empty from the factory, if they were then they wouldn’t bottom out when you drop the car. They are stiffer because it is a new strut but you can’t use a scanner to release pressure out an empty strut that’s not connected to the system. They are definitely a little harder to get in than the old one out but that’s just the nature of the job.
@@MercedesTech they are not empty. There is a lot of references across the web where people search for the way to deflate them before installing. There is tons of mentioning about how to deflate them by connecting to the car computer and diagnostics tool to be able to fit the strut. But these appear only if you specifically search for them after loosing time and struggling. However when you search just “airstrut replacement” there is no mention of this potential problem. Which is bad. People encounter this problem over and over. So as myself. I called the strut supplier and they confirmed that that one normally would use STAR to deflate. Waste of time. Need to mention this issue from the beginning. Videos like yours, if mention this issue, would prevent me from losing tons of time. And sure, strut supplier is an asshole in the first place. But that’s why we look for hints and frankly advice on channels like yours.
Great job man !.
What was that wrench called?😊
It is called special Mercedes tool called a Spark Plug Boot Puller. You can buy it from the JTC website with or without spark plugs. I believe it’s a 17mm.
JTC in Denmark?
Thank You ! It was the Brown wire indeed and i fixed my light in the trunk as well !
why is the old motor splitting open? what causes that?
Any assistance on how i can acquire an original one for my w202?
You would need to just follow the same principles applied here to the w202. I don’t believe those came with any kind of OEM white lighting on the interior
Thanks mate!
LED globes are great, although I prefer top match the colour temperature to the OEM look.
Oh man you saved me a lot of hassle and frustration that I couldn’t fix this problem for the last 6 months . I checked each and every fuse since that was my suspicion to be bad. Thanks thanks……thanks. 😊
thank you men
Do they automatically show any logo of a car when installed or u have to buy one tht goes wit a car
Hey did you temperature 🌡️ gage go lower once u replaced the reservoir
Thank you man. These videos are so important for all us W220 lovers out there!
Any chance you have a video on 2008 e350 AC compressor replacement?
If ignition coils get mis up how do we know where each one goes in too
Top wire always goes toward front of vehicle. But the coil and valve cover are labeled with arrows and A and B like this: <-A B-> May have to clean valve cover and coils of dust and oil to see it
No canbus
Any suggestion if you break that gapped disposable piece you squeezed and don't have a replacement? The clamp for the tube that goes on top of the strut. 😢
You should be able to use the old one, especially if it’s still on the line. There’s a small risk of it leaking but I’ve never seen it personally. You don’t really want to spread it apart as they do crack in half very easily. Otherwise you may be able to get a replacement at the dealer separately or online
If you have the setting turned on that uses a fog light as you steer at low speeds that usually fades or dims in and out when using halogen bulbs. What happens when you try with LED in? Does it fade in and out or just sharp on and off each side as turn or does it flicker as the LEDs don't like being dimmed ?
Just turns on and off as far as I know. Doesn’t fade
