I tried the vegan Bun Cha Ca, which is tomato, dill, fish patty soup noodles there and loved it. Vegan Bun Bo Hue was a little bland but not the worst. Was excited to come back and try some more but they converted back to meat options, not exclusively vegetarian/vegan anymore! They took that vegan Bun Cha Ca off the menu, and I'm devastated 😭

I’m very surprised too that a vegan restaurant would have a photo of Anthony Bourdaine on its wall. He was a hunter and very critical of veganism. I think the restaurant is probably plant-based then. Animal liberation 🙏🏼

While yall enjoying Florida, we enjoying vancouver lol. Won good at Parq, started at River Rock. The Acorn, 4 stones, po kong, to live for bakery, budgies, Tera V/vegan fries chicken, vegan cafe and vegetarian cafe all scratched off... 2 MeeTs as well but they were the worse of them all lol. Looking forward to the botanists and/or folke today.

Y'all, I gotta say that taxis are often cheaper and quicker, than is Uber, these days. I started checking. That aside, I would love a vegan place like that Vancouver area. Everything seems to get blanderized when it hits Vancouver.

You guys are actually eating rice and curry kind of wrong. You're supposed to mix all or at least a few of the curries with a little bit of rice for each bite. These are designed to come together for each bite. You don't eat them separately,. that's kind of similar to eating things that make up a pasta sauce separately.

Hello! Vietnamese from California here! Hiya Vegan Twosome! Can't wait to visit your neck of the woods in the near future!! I do agree that the brown rice is a bit strange (since typically this dish is made with a type of white rice called broken rice) and I'm sure it was even worst since it was dry as you said. I also think that the 1 slice of meat was also underwhelming. However, I just wanted to let you know that you're actually supposed to drench the food in the "fish sauce" instead of using it as a dip. This would 100% have made the meal more satisfying (it would have helped with the dryness of certain food items you both talked about.) Also just to let you know, the pate-looking thing is called chả trứng, its like a steamed egg meat loaf. The taro dish is trying to replicate Bì, which is shredded pork, but I do agree, from looking at it, it looks very dry. I have to give them credit for trying though, since they are transitioning. Hopefully it gets better over time, but yes, next time, if you're willing to try that dish again, make sure you pour the sauce over the food!! If you're curious and want to learn more, look up Cơm tấm (Vietnamese broken rice); you can also look up Cơm tấm chay (chay added at the end means vegetarian, which, for the most part, also tends to mean vegan).
