The only reason I don't go more often as because I live further north so it's a bit of a schlep, especially having to drive through downtown Seattle. on an aside...have y'all been to Bayside Cafe in Everett yet? You must go, they're amazing as well. My wife and I eat there all the time so could be fun to meet up there !

Not super impressed with these vegan offerings. Only one main, and it's based on beyond meat? I cannot get excited for beyond meat ever. Make something in house! And one main? COME ON. Vegan appetizers are so easy, one main? As a vegetarian with vegan friends, we'd never go here. You guys should review Lila on main. That place is fire!

It kinda reminds me of That place on Commercial which is vegan...Eternal Abundance. I agree about the eggs in noodles - even those wide "egg Noodles" can be made tasty without eggs. But that is kind of a metaphor for nearly everything in eateries... croissants don't need animal stuff, donuts, cakes, bread, cookies, tacos, ...nothing needs to have animal stuff to taste good. The shops around me have the worst vegan stuff. I tell the folks in the non vegan places, that the reason people think vegan food is awful is because this 3rd party stuff they are selling is awful. It is like tasteless, grainy, stuff one would get in the 80s.

Where are the excellent vegan burgers? I have tried a few places but I feel a bit disappointed in comparison to making them at home. I had one once in around 2004 at some pub near Yaletown I think. It was good but also seemed very animal like. I had to ask several times what were the ingredients. The chef finally came out and told me all the ingredients and it was vegan. But since then, every place has been hit or miss, meaning sometimes it is a banger and sometimes it is a stale school lunchroom affair. I haven't had the big mountian brand. I think I'll give it a try. For "instant" home burgers I have liked old school SOl burgers. I like that they don't seem like animal, and the flavours were good. Do you think the number of vegan food places has decreased since about 2015-16?

Boxcart is the best in Portland hands down. There’s also Rudy’s that offer lots of delicious vegan options, Virtuous Pie, and Secret Pizza Society. All are very delicious.

0:54 Another great review! I am the person who came to your table, as a fan. I agree with you both on points. My two favorites were the mushroom dish and the cheesecake. I was so full that I had a small taste of the cheesecake and then brought the rest home. I found it was just as good the next day. I also agree about the celeriac dish. I had one bite and left the rest. Overall it was a great dining adventure. I actually prefer Folke, as a dining experience. Have you gone back since the first opened? I think it keeps getting better. Anyway, it was wonderful to meet you in person!

I was just wondering about donuts in Vancouver so searched your channel. I don't know if this place still exists, but I do know that the hair style Diana had during that time, is very flattering, and I love those bunny (or really hare) plates are very cool. Any one know where would one get those plates?

Horseradish and wasabi are from the same brassica family, like broccoli, cabbage, etc. When I lived in Chicago with a family that had Lithuanian ancestory, their gramma would make horse radish once a year. OH MY GOSH the smell of that covered the entire city block.
