I think it will be another year or more before we see an FX3II. It will have to have 6K, the same low light capability, and even better AF. They’ll probably stop there. You might get your 48p. Probably get better ibis. Probably won’t see open gate or global shutter, unless they make an FX3 that’s $6000. Definitely won’t see internal ND. Really like the modular viewfinder idea. That would be so good. Mad my FX6 doesn’t have a viewfinder the same way the FS5 did, and wish my FX3 had one I could take on and off like you and PB suggest.

08:34 I recently met the team at Sony, and when I asked about IND, they said "Unfortunately, the FX3 will not be able to hold internal ND at it's current size (form factor). There just is not enough room for it". Sony will always prioritize image quality and reliability over a feature. Also, adding internal ND will make this body like the FX6 and well, there is an FX6 already.

Internal raw, internal ND, better global shutter, better megapixel, less noise on iso other than base ones, better stabilization, lesser crop on 4k 120fps and other slomos would be better. Dropping the price of existing Fx3 would also be amazing 😛

open gate 3:2 with at least 50fps and no crop and i would order it as fast as possible. The rest is already good enough for me.

I got my video back, however what was 5 channels of audio got crushed down to one channel. Fortunately each channel was the same source at different input levels, however if I was using multiple sources I would probably run into phasing issues with no way of solving them. Not sure if there's a better solution for this, but this is just a heads up for anyone using this.

It worked for me too, but I didn't get any audio, unfortunately. Did anybody have audio recover?

my video at first got green glitch only half of the frame. after use the software to re-encode, no green anymore but still got glitch. hmmm

oh my god that's is truely my life saver.i was a bit nervous when seeing rolling shutter on a74 before i bought it !! problems solved!!!

I have to say that LUT's are one of the most annoying things I have had to deal with since our TV production company started using Premiere / Encoder back in 2014. There always seems to be issues with the user interface with them. Anyway I got a fix for this stupid issue which works at least with Media Encoder 2019 / Versio 13.1.3 (Build 45). So the problem seems to be in the User Interface of Media Encoder. When you enable Lumetri Look / LUT in the Effects window and from the dropdown menu click Select and tell Media Encoder where your LUT is located it just shows Applied LUT as None. But the thing is that IF you actually have a working LUT (I have tested this with .cube LUT) it does apply it, only the user interface shows it as None. Here is what you can do: 1. Create a new user preset. 2. Apply the LUT by going to Effects --> Lumetri Look / LUT --> Select. 3. The LUT will look like "Applied: None" but it is actually working. 4. Save the preset. 5. Apply it to all the clips that need to be transcoded. They all transcode with applied LUT even though it says that there is no LUT applied. I just tested this with few different clips and LUTs. It is awfully confusing but at least it works. Gotta say that I absolutely hate having to come up with these kind of random fixes to known issues that dont seem to get fixed. Adobe, come on!

This monitor supports 4K resolution at 50-60 fps? If you shoot with these settings on the camera, will the feed be displayed on the monitor?

is the 7 inch not too wide/heavy when doing run and gun stuff and weddings when on gimbal or walking with it?

Portkeys is garbage. Mine died in less than 60 days. Their customer support sucks and IF they choose to honor a warranty, you’re the one covering all the shipping cost. Once it’s all said and done, you’ll spend just as much with the original purchase and shipping cost, you could have bought a better monitor.

Hello Aryan, do you shoot handlheld all the time or dod you use the tripod or gimbal. Also if you use the gimbal do you swap lenses and rebalance? would like to know your what your process is. Also is the Sigma 24 70 2.8 heavy on the camera? how does it play with a gimbal?

Bought one of these. The display wouldn’t stay in the unit. Fell out. Hanging by its wires. Ordered a warranty replacement and waited four weeks, then they canceled my order. No longer available.

Thank you for the review im actually in the process of looking at the 5 at the moment. Never used a monitor before so might be a stupid question but I noticed the specs says 4k 30 fps but how does that work for viewing when I shoot 4k 60 fps/120fps will that mess with the viewing and will that effect how it’s recorded to my camera sd card?

For those who's looking to repair .RSV file, Wondershare Video Repair can do it ! you have to rename the .rsv to .mp4 and it will work. Just had to fix an other file from camera loosing power (someone hit my rig and the PTAP disconnected)
