Just wait till you see the stupid crazy stuff I’ve done to the bike. Can’t wait to take it out on gravel hopefully next week!

Loving the colour Erik 🤩Looks great.
And nice to see the lad is a chip off the old block, cutting off the competition round corners 🤣

I opted for one bike to rule them all when I upgraded but I definitely see the benefit of having 2 bikes. Going to one bike allowed me to dedicated my old bike as a trainer bike that I can set it up to be more comfortable while riding inside and have a more aggressive fit that I prefer for outside. Virtual shifting in Zwift also was allowed me to steal the di2 from the old bike so that was a big plus.
If I didn’t have integrated bar and stem I would go with the Bontrager stem. The accessories really clean up the look of the front.

Ya I love the BLDNR accessories and ended up putting on a Bontrager Pro stem so I could put my older 3d printed bolt mount on. Super cleannnnn

Always good to have a couple bikes one for fast narrow tires then one for the wider tires. The wide tire bike can narrow tires if needed. Have three bikes from over the decade plus of local racing. Two get used regularly the old rim 2x10 CX on the trainer and the outdoor disc CX/ gravel bike. The third is an old rim brake singlespeed CX race only. Parts get moved around as needed too. Best way to save money and reuse older parts on the trainer bike.

Ya I think I'm pretty covered now. A fast rocket ship for the hammer rides and this guy for solo gravel adventures and a bunch of other do it all things!

Nice Gravel bike! I have a 2022 Checkpoint SL7 basically the same bike with Sram AXS. Only issue i've seen with it over the last few years is the seat post likes to drop just a little on rougher gravel/off road riding if tyou have a bigger hit. Make sure the seat post clamp is tight and use paste too. The bike will fit 50mm gravel tires front and back too, Trek says it only fits 45mm.

Oh I use the good stuff! Never had a problem with Motorex Carbon Paste! I already swapped to a carbon seat post cap as well LMAOOOOOOO

@@DontGetDroppedCycling By all means do NOT be afraid to setup your gravel bike for more handling/comfort. I am a 3.4 C on Zwift, should be a B, but hell no. My road bike is set for down - out - go; 220 watts 100mm stem and 35sm bars on rides. Gravel is different. For the 4-5 hour races, I am setup to ride a steady 200 watts or less all day and handle the stupidity of other riders and terrain features.
