In some ways it’s better than the Wii.
This is where I found my main Alisa lol
Tekken 4 and 6 were my first games but my cousin had the ps2 and my psp broke left me without tekken for many years it was until last year I modded my 3ds I was able to play tekken again and I spent hours upon hours playing it had so much fun learning Jin my favorite character combos and stuff I was able to do a lot of the battles and reached the max rank on him and devil Jin by playing the hardest difficulty on cpu thankfully my cousin gave me his old Xbox one 2 months ago was I able to play tekken 6 and recently purchased tekken 7 as it was on discount for 10 dollars has the practice on tekken 3d actually helped me in tekken 7 obviously combos are different but I am able to fight people with knowledge on Jin’s move set
This went from an overview to a review unexpectedly. Not my cup of tea.
I remember getting this game along with Asphalt 3d for Christmas. At the time they were fun because all I had was a 3ds and a ps2 but in reality….this game was pretty dang baaaad.
I never heard about this one ❤ I'm totally going to check ot out this year. Awesome video dude
Thank you
I had no idea a resident evil was on the 3ds that’s crazy 🤯
@@AkhMaher wait till he finds out about the second resident evil for 3ds
I would have liked if they gave us RE4 on the 3ds with it
It would have been awesome
Outside of lack of story and content, it was a great port. It being 60fps with very good graphics which still holds up.
I just wanted mercenaries on the Go, and now we have RE 4 and the Remake on the portables!
Knowing Capcom we will be seeing them come to the Switch successor at some point they love re-releasing them
Loving the lore dump videos as always 🔥
@@lexoen thank you!
I use to love this game I only have one thing I didn't like the zombies far away from me seem to move in slow motion
@mickymousejuju yeah I did mean to mention their framerate but didnt. Small oversight on my end. But glad to hear you enjoyed it too!
@@TheMainMii it's the first game I got with the 3DS and stayed like that for awhile while I was collecting my allowance for another game I was 16 or 17 I think
@mickymousejuju I think it was probably my 4th or 5th. I know it was a highly for me cause I was working with a friend to play the game compared to just fighting my friend. Co-Op was awesome
3 way holds is a sick joke. They made this game for babies.
It was a watered down version but still man, tekken on the go then being able to swap to pokemon was awesome!
Soriyaa
Its the tekken 6 psp port but in a 3DS, the only better in graphics are the faces that are not recycled of Tekken Dark Ressurection, a lazy game definitely if you compare it by the others fighting games ports like Street Fighter IV 3Ds edition or Dead Or Alive Dimensions, especially DoaD, thats like Doa4 but inclusive a little bit better, SfIV 3ds Edition it's the same thing like Ps3 and Xbox 360 but anyways it has no less content like it had Tekken Prime Edition
Because, Hot Chicks Rule!❤
W
Those FMVs are actually from the Xbox Ultimate Edition, I imagine the 3D is weird on them because they're being retroactively given depth instead of made with it in mind.
Dead or Alive Dimensions is absolutely the best 3D fighting game on Nintendo 3DS.
Such a shame this game didn’t sell more 😢 I loved this game back in the day ❤
A very solid entry in the series
Was so cool to play Matches online and in 3D no less on my school’s WiFi between classes with 0 lag.
Unfortunately I missed it on the online in this game but at least you could enjoy it!
“Dead or Alive Dimensions (DOA4) to the 3ds was a huge surprise!” Me: wait til you hear about Senran Kagura on the 3ds
Been there played that, I'm sure I'll pop in there again sometime...
The best fighting game on the 3ds and maybe the best game in the DOA franchise? Few things to mention: 1. The cgi cutscene ain’t new for the game. The cutscene with kasumi and ayane as kids is actually from the xbox version of DOA2, actually they re-dub and put brand new music because the original cutscene from the xbox DOA2 have aerosmith dream on playing in the background. Same with the cgi cutscene in the last few chapters are from DOA4. 2. DOAD is actually DOA4 on the 3ds with majority of the characters and stages of DOA2 & 3 and few new one. Actually few of the in game cutscenes like Helena and Kasumi pre-fight in the story or Zack climb the building are actually animations that’s originally from DOA4.
The Throwdown mode is something other handheld fighting games at the time should've done, BUT DIDN'T!
@@SantaAzulCTZN definitely
2:40 Minor nitpick but the game with the largest roster was actually DOA5 Great video overall though, this was one of my first DOA games and I wish it got a Switch port at least (Also just to let you know, the CG/FMV cutscenes are reused from previous games, hence why they look so different from everything else)
Yup thank you for the clarity it appears after DLC DoA LR did have more characters!
This game actively mocks tekken 3d with its modes. It's insane how much stuff they crammed into the cartridge, for a DOA game this was a real treat! (and a real challenge as well, tag missions and survival traumatised me)
@playbossthebest936 the game didn't hold any punches (pun intended) as it came with everything
@@TheMainMii at least I'm glad I managed to beat all of the challenges. It took a while, but it was worth it
It's great trying to complete them all. That tag mode is no joke.
I'm so sad this is so far the only DOA game on a Nintendo console. I would've been satisfied with an HD port of Dimensions to Switch, but nope.
@ChiruKobra As I was making the video I was thinking the same
There is a spin off DOA game called extreme 3 on the switch but it’s only for Asia
I still own a recopied version. My original copy got stolen in my own apartment back in 2016.
Sorry for your loss!
I loved this when it came out!
DOA Dimensions was my first game on 3DS, and it is one of my favorites on the system. It is just great fighting game focused on speed, and also great remake for four games at once. I never played DOA 1-4 but I felt it was good story mode (for a fighting game at least which the bar isn't high).
It got many things right and still delivered a pseudo remake of previous titles.
Would've loved to see Honoka in 3D
Just missed her..
Personally I dislike Honoka. I find her pretty dumb. Although I didn't play DOA6 which she is an actual character with personallity. I'd say she still has good gimmick which is using other characters' iconic moves.
@@DaakkuuYRSyeah, her being an airhead was more of an annoyance when she is capable of defending herself because she’s a badass like others
1 guy in sweden got this game Ban in all Nordic. thx to the photo mode and some char hade young age. I hade the game befor it got ban. If you hade your 3DS connected they force a update to the game to change the young age to /NA. And after this many more games never come to sweden but if you have like a Norway account you can still get the game on the eshop.
@zaniyawonlord thanks for the insight! It's crazy how much power a photo mode can have
DoA Dimensions was definetely a huge surprise when it came to the 3ds. It looks gorgeous in the small screen and the gameplay is really solid. Other great fighting games on this system are Super Smash Bros, SF4 3d edition and Blazblue . Tekken 3d has great gameplay and visuals it just lack modes
The more and more fighting games I play on the 3DS the more I realized I missed out or didn't appreciate what they did so successfully
DOA Dimensions is a hidden gem! Thanks for making this video!
@@ULTIMa_Ivanov and thank you!
I didn't have alot of games for the 3ds such as mario or pokemon as they were usually expensive so i had more of the cheaper ones and this was one i had found for 5€ in a shop and i really liked the demo so i had got it and i had the time of my life with it. Never played a Dead or Alive before but this was amazing honestly and the performance didn't seem too shaby either.
Thanks for sharing! And such a cheap deal that's a great find!
Now the physical cartridge of the game cost $100 🙃
I love the giggle physics's that's the only reason I beat the story mode
There's a reason for everyone!
Based
First time hearing about this game but knowing it was on the original xbox too, Ima start looking for it
It's pretty fun worth a try
I love playing Dimensions from time to time.
Yeah it's a very well put together game. Worth playing every now and then getting more unlockables too
If they put the old Call of Duty games on Switch they would be better than the new games on other systems. Hurting sales of the new stuff. There too lazy to optimize the new games to Switch if it's even possible. Trust me, it's not that the new games are so amazing. I've played them. Call of Duty is kinda dead to me.
Great video bro I have never played dead or alive really just one of those franchises that slipped through the cracks for me. But I am curious if you had to rank your Top 5 fighters what would your order be?
1.Kasumi obviously lol 2.Hayabusa 3. Zack 4. La Mariposa 5.Helena Think this is the list
huge tekken fan n was religiously using my 3ds at its peak and never knew about this lol
Even years later, Smash 3DS still impresses me with what they were able to accomplish on a handheld and I have no problem playing this game from time-to-time. They could've easily went the lazy route and made a so-so version for handheld users, but no. It seems like they've believed in first impressions and did everything in their power to make the N3DS version a solid game in its own right. And saying that they succeeded would be an understatement.
They made something amazing here. And thank you so much for viewing this video and giving your own thoughts! I hope you enjoyed
This was my first handheld Tekken game since I didn't play the GBA or PSP games. I was a fan of the series before jumping into the N3DS game, but I still had fun with this title regardless. I actually thought the inclusion of the Blood Vengeance movie was nice and after watching it, not groundbreaking, but for me, it's not bad.
Sonic is a Legend Of Zelda fan. And Link is Sonic's Idol and Nintendo Counterpart.
hey guys i just joined
I never knew this existed but I used to play street fighter on the 3ds but tekken on the psp was better
MainMiiSwe? MainManMii? idk but tekken 3ds is yes, since my psp cant hold battery anymore but my 3ds can I play while traveling and this game is one of the most I play
I played the demo for lost worlds so much back in the day but as a fan of the sonic adventure games, lost world was just not what i was looking for. I remember seeing this zelda dlc and almost buying the game nut deciding not to
Yeah I enjoyed the idea of the parkour mechanics but they didn't capture what they really intended to. The levels were a bit too linear and the mechanics were easily out matched from the adventure's momentum system 15 years earlier. Loved the aesthetics though.
I remember being in 5th grade just spamming kings giant swing lol
This game functioned really well and was great looking but its not something that works well on portable devices. The D pad was very hard to use for advanced techniques that are already difficult.
