The Former Synagogue in church street Merthyr was built between 1872 and 1875 in heavy Northern Gothic style. It is the oldest surviving synagogue in Wales and is considered architecturally one of the most important in the UK. It is a grade 2 listed building. The building is a shadow of its former self but funding has been secured for it's restoration.

Bad and dangerous!
Insurance job.....
Arsonists always return to the scene. The police will be watching YOU now..
Before EVs I can't remember a dealership fire! What's the common denominator?
Funny how so many dealerships have fires with Ev’s inside
a lot of cars inside not many in that massive park car
⚠️The terrifying thing about EV's is they can (very rare) spontaneously go into thermal runaway even when NOT in use and NOT on charge ⚠️ I for one will never buy such a machine. Unheard of for such a thing to happen to an ICE vehicle
How many EV’s were involved 🤔
first thing my wife said lol the teslas did it ! , they usually had 5 ish there.
Very sad ,,,hope they rebuild it and keep the work force on
Hello! I am a reporter for the SW Argus. Would we be able to use screenshots of this footage for an article? We will of course give all credit.
@@hollymorgan1637 yeah that's fine you can credit "Eddy Blanche"
Sad😢
Beautiful!
'..architecturally one of the most important in the UK'. Why is it boarded up and being left to rot??
Due to dwindling numbers the synagogue was closed in the 1980s and the building was closed and sold. It spent some time as a gymnasium. Before falling out of use. In 2019 it was bought by the foundation of Jewish heritage and they are to carry out works on restoration
Because every where in wales is skint its got such high levels of child poverty where people are suffering im afraid when u cant feed your own people buildings even that like little gem have no hope sad but very true
Very nice, good job my friend 🙂

Fantastic footage and flying 👏 lovely video
lovely video - often take the kids here - wheres the waterfall!!?
If you walk down past the south carpark you come to the old coal trucks. Just past there you will see a gate in your left. Walk up the small rise and you will find it
@@DarrenValleyFromAbove-op5eb Thanks! Love all your videos
I assume you mean from Fochriw. You can go from Tir-Phil or used to be able to🤠
Superb as always. Is the Rhymney ridgeway by Brithdir chapel on your to-do list? 🤠
I can try when I get time. Just a shame they have blocked the road off
Brilliant! Thank you 🤠
Great footage Ed. Deri looks even more picturesque from above! Love these videos. Love the perspective!
Is the bent iron bridge by here?
The bent iron monument is a few hundred metres to the east of Rhas Las pond. On the edge of the ridge looking over Rhymmey. It's on my list of targets to film at some point
Footage of the bent iron now posted on the channel
cracking shots, loved the fly throughs.
Tbh I pooped myself when I did the reverse fly through. I was watching the drone and all of a sudden the proximity alarms went off. I was about to fly into a tree 😮. Lucky there were leaves on it 😮
Did the signal glitch out? Interference?
No signal held steady. Just a few small branches
@@DarrenValleyFromAbove-op5eb Just did a similar flying, below tree tops, a building nearby. Selected Cine mode but a sideway move happened faster then expected..... The drone stayed in the air but the camera was tilted to who knows what. A significant chunk of one prop was gone... A Mini 3 pro.... Did some more flying in closed spaces and it's sure not easy.
Great footage, but please be aware that as a drone operator you have a duty of care towards the public and one safety rule you should always follow is to operate your aircraft within visual line of sight (VLOS)... there is no way that you could possibly have kept eyes on that drone given the distance and meandering etc... I don't say this to be argumentative, but as a fellow drone user who has had my drone struck by birds for it to fall out if the sky. Imagine damage what that could do if it hit someone on the ground. Even if it's a sub250. Safe flying my friend.
Thanks for your advice. I was actually in a vehicle traveling along the road to the side of the valley. I was in VLOS for "most of the flight" as I did lose sight for a few seconds here and there.
All I can say is WOW. This is amazing. I've never what Deri looks like from the air.
Make sure you subscribe. I'm going to do a full fly over of Deri as soon as I get a chance
Nice video, what drone you got please,I got a dji mini 2 and live in Deri.

Now that is some pot hole. Just a thought can the council sell the water to subsidize our pole tax 😂
Not really the water is toxic 🤷♂️
