Wow this is very beautiful! And there are so many details to appreciate the more i look. First i see the yellows against the blue gumleaves, then the red wattle blossoms, the dark foliage, the white pea flowers elegantly framing the bottom... This music fits so well 🎶 Would you consider doing a tutorial on making a bouquet like this?
Thank you, I am certainly no florist, but I will give it a go with some spring blooms.
Loved seeing the process. Thankyou 😊
My pleasure 😊
What a beautiful relaxation garden. Looks like a such a nice way to take a warm bath and unwind.
It really is!
Fantastic work. 😊😊😊
Thank you!
Beautiful but how do you manage to evict the residents? I always seem to bring all manner of insects when I cut the Natives.
I always bring in an insect or 2. 🐞 It’s caterpillars 🐛 that I try to avoid as they make a mess. A good shake always helps!

Another great video!!❤
You're the best!
Slow and steady wins the race as they say Jacqueline, I think you've done a lot in 12 months really. Enjoy the planning and watching it developed, it's a great adventure!!
Thanks Janelle. You are absolutely correct. It’s always a battle between the end goal and the budget. Thank you for the wise words.
Hi Jacquiline. Your flower farm is great. You're doing so well, great ideas and i love how you're doing it all on a budget. Good luck with all your future plans, it sounds great and i hope to visit your farm one day.
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you for the tour, good to see the vision taking shape quite quickly. Impressive fencing. Folks will enjoy a you pick garden with such amazing views. Add high tea option for special events.
Now that’s a lovely idea, tea and scones! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it’s appreciated.
I was hanging out for another one of your videos! So nice to see some realistic content! Love them! ❤️
Thanks Jess, it’s definitely not all sunshine and roses that’s for sure, more like bugs, sweat and dirty fingernails! Thanks for commenting.
Your welcome, yep my yard is the same patience is everything. I would love to know where you purchase your achillea plants from if you don't mind sharin? Thankyou
@@JessDuggan-gb2nu if you are in Australia, Woodbridge Nursery sells perennials from Tasmania. You can buy online.
@@ValleyViewFlowerFarmVlogs amazing thanks ! Yep I'm in Victoria I will check them out
Hi, it's always lovely to see your flower garden and it's looking really good. 💐💐💐
I have a vision, just hoping it comes to fruition. The best thing about these videos is looking back to see what’s been achieved.
Hi, I'm always a bit jealous of your garden and love the updates. I couldn't resist buying a few peonies after I saw the ones on your video. This past year has been mostly learning the cut flower business and there's just so much more to learn. I have my 4 raised beds filled now and am waiting for my roses to arrive. I'm also planting many greenery plant varieties at the moment, being 65 I'm hoping to live long enough to see my gardens mature. Bought 4 more fruit trees yesterday that I have planted into very large grow bags. Fingers crossed they are happy and will give me some fruits. I bought a cherry tree, pipless mandarin, plum and a peach tree that has golden branches when dormant. Have a lovely day. 💐💚
It’s fun planting and trialing new plants. It’s funny I’m 45 and feel the same way you do! I keep thinking…5 years for peonies, I’ll have to wait until I’m 50 before I can enjoy the flowers 🫣. Thanks for your ongoing support!
Enjoy seeing all your trial flowers, thanks for the tour. Inspired by your patience, I have tried Rannuculus and Anenome from seed with some success, don’t expect flowers this year, but hopefully they will grow corms.
I would like to try growing ranunculus also from seed and may try saving seed this summer. I m glad you have had some success with this, it gives me hope! Thanks for watching and commenting.
So pleased to see someone else growing Dutch Iris!! I think they are great and one of the best come back bulbs ! I'm struggling with my rannuculas this season, mine were all corms I kept from last season. And wow to your Billy buttons, I've tried twice and not got one up yet. But you've encouraged me to give them another go.😊 I am a bit on the 'less effort' side of things, and have had great success direct sowing strawflowers. I totally get your trial run patches.....I do the same. ...not much point growing something that doesn't cope with your environment, I feel. Might as well work with more of what does work. But it's fun experimenting😉💐🙋♀️
Hi Janelle, I love Dutch Iris, they were my wedding flowers, they are also so carefree to grow and harvest. I haven’t had much success growing Billy buttons when direct sowing in the field but in the greenhouse they work well, they must need reliable moisture. Thanks for watching and keep experimenting, you’re right, it’s great fun!
Definetly agree with the little by little with peonies, however you did very well to get such big rooted ones for that price! I've put a few in each year for the last 4 years.....hoping this will be the spring that gives me a bit of a show. However, they seem to be a long term investment. I get good frosts, but I do think our spring heats up to quickly for them here in SE Qld. Time will tell. Hope yours do well💐👍
I agree the price and quality of the peonies is excellent. Just a big investment. I was told the early varieties and plant shallower for the best results in warmer climates. It will be such a joy to eventually get to enjoy armfuls of flowers. The few that flowered in the first year had the most amazing scent.
Thanks for sharing 🌸🌷
Thanks for an amazing product. Can’t wait to show everyone in spring your beautiful irises. Definitely buying more next year 😍
Aww thank you. I didn’t realise you had a TH-cam channel. I look forward to following your journey. What you are doing looks great 😊xx
Hey Jaclyn, great video thanks for sharing 😄 I'm going to a grocer this arvo to talk about selling market bouquets there. How much commission should the shop owner expect? I can't find any info
WOW🤩I'm a bit jealous . I had bought a few from Bunnings last year but most did not do well however they were only 5 dollars each. Might need to look up that place in Tassie and order a few. 💮💐🌸
Yes they are impressive, and put up a lot of nice foliage.
I let them know you recommend them.
Thankyou, this is my second year purchasing from them. You always have to sing the praises of business that excel, and I imagine it would be a lot of hard work.
You weren't kidding about the substantial roots from Gateforth. Wish i knew this earlier. I received only thumb-sized roots for the same price from one of the big online suppliers! Will take your advice for future purchases.
I did the same! I should do a comparison in spring of my second yr small box store plants compared to my First year Gateforth peony plants.
I can't believe u can grow peonies there I would of thought it too hot by.far...shows ya what I know
We are in a colder part of Australia - equivalent to an 8a/b American cold hardiness zone. We get frost down to -6 degrees C. Sometimes we get snow!
I enjoyed this. Always nice to discover an Aussie gardening TH-camr 😊 I have some feedback, if that’s okay? Would be great if you slowed the camera movement as much as possible and add more still shots too. I’m one of those viewers who gets a little motion sickness with quick panning 😆 everything else was great! Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely slow the camera motion. Thanks for letting me know!
Can’t wait for your video on the native plants and eucalyptus you’ve chosen to plant. Choosing natives can be overwhelming there’s so many to choose from. I love proteas especially. Would also love to know where you are buying them from. Just had a look at Protea World and jumped with glee when I saw how reasonably priced they are compared to nurseries. We’ve just moved onto our land and have an open canvas to work with. I’d prefer a native cut flower garden as we don’t have much water either and the soil is shocking. Thank you for sharing!
Protea World in SA is definitely the place to start. They don’t have a huge range, but enough to get started. I find people (customers) cannot get enough of natives and South African natives. I just have to be careful with the frost, it can damage some varieties. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful area with those huge open trees and mountains all around. Your beds look really nice and organized. Those poles look like they make it so easy to throw netting or covering over!
I love geums! So cool they spread so much. Such a variety of plants you've been growing.
Looking forward to the next vid on the native flowers you're growing. I love growing proteas, we have several different types.
Thank you. The posts are from an old vineyard and have been fantastic for corralling the plants and netting.
I love them as well. I can’t believe how much they have grown in just 1 year.
I love natives and South African natives as they are so suitable for our growing conditions. I just have to be careful of frost, some varieties can suffer from a little frost damage.
Wow what an amazing garden tour! I'm very impressed that it's your first year. It makes me excited for my first year this year 😄 The chryssies, delphiniums and roses are beautiful! Keep up the good work 🌈🍂🤗💖💐
Thank you! I have to say I have enjoyed growing new things. Thanks for watching 😃
Loved the flower garden tour, very impressive with the raised beds and you have a beautiful property with huge mature Eucalypts, thank you and looking forward to Spring.
Thank you. The Eucalyptus are the inland Scribbly Gum, and I love them. I am glad you enjoyed the tour.
Love it!
So glad!
Hi! What is that white or like green spike flower?
The filler spike of chartreuse green is Solidago before it flowers. It’s my absolute favourite!
Sorry, the white spike filler (my other fav 😉) is Artemisia lactiflora, white mugwort.
I just found your channel! It´s interesting to see what you can grow in your climate. I´m a first year flower farmer in Sweden.
Our climate is not overly extreme when it comes to minimum and maximum temperature, however our dry climate creates the biggest challenge. The best thing I have done is to try lots of different plants, so I can see what works best. Thankyou for watching!
Your garden is so beautiful. You are very talented. I look forward to your clips
Thank you so much! I look forward to spring and sharing some videos of my garden.
New subscriber here. I just stumbled across your channel. Love what I've seen so far. Very interesting as we are about to move from Sydney to the upper Blue Mountains.
Welcome aboard! You will enjoy the four seasons in the Blue Mountains, such a beautiful location and always lots of interesting things to see and do. I love visiting the open gardens in Laura and Mt Wilson. Thanks Jaclyn
Valley View Flower Farm, I really like your videos, let's be friends!
Oh I just got to the part of the vid where you explain how you sell your flowers. That's great, I can't wait to have enough flowers to sell 🌈😄❤️💐
Finding outlets at first is daunting. But as people get to know your product they will come asking for your bouquets. Do you have an instagram or Facebook account?
I love this video! Thankyou for sharing ❤💐 Wow your in Oberon, I'm from Springwood 😄 I'm in Castle Hill now and doing what your doing! What avenues have been effective for you to sell your flowers? Nina 🌈🌾
Share your flowers and your setup on social media, especially local groups. Talk to coffee shops about selling on consignment. I also do farmers markets which are a fair bit of work but I now have a loyal following and it doesn’t take long for people to appreciate your flowers. You will have a bigger customer base than me, so you are already in a good position! I used to work in Castle Hill for the Council…. About 25 years ago 😊 I bet it has changed a lot since then.
Stunning views and stunning flowers!
Thank you. I have big things planned for next season so it’s an exciting time. Thanks for watching.
My goodness, such a huge array of flowers. Your bouquets are splendid, with lots of interesting additions. I look forward to following your adventures.
Thank you. It’s been fun growing things I wouldn’t normally think about growing in my house garden. I’m definitely going to take cuttings of the Chrysanthemums and put them into the garden to enjoy!
The baackground is incredible! And your mondarda... WOW!
Thank you, we have had a great first season.
