We managed to do the cola mentoes experiment and had a little fun with it! As the mentos sinks in the bottle, it causes more carbon dioxide bubbles and the rising bubbles will react with the carbon dioxide that is still dissolved in the soda. This in turn causes more carbon dioxide gas to be freed and creates even more bubbles, resulting in the eruption. www.scientificamerican.com/article/bring...
