I would appreciate a better explanation of the “cellular subscription” you referred to when describing the Halo collar. Does this mean we have to have a working cell phone or is this an another subscription we would need on top of the collar price? Sorry i’m not as tech savvy as I should be. 😏

Not true for my almost 9 year old beloved Springer Spaniel. Go go go, super anxious, hugest heart and sweetest disposition but total chow hound, pulls so hard you have to walk him with two hands at times. Shall I go on? Didn't chill after a 7 mile walk. I rehomed him to the country and he's doing much better.

I am just here to dump on halo. Do NOT buy this. It is an absolute overpriced piece of trash. It will NOT stop even a mildly determined dog.

This is a garbage product. It is 99.99% based on the training of your dog. It has no meaningful deterrent to your dog leaving the area. If it sees a squirrel and the drive to chase it is great enough (which it will be) your dog will have to ignore the three collar mechanisms. A mild beeping, a mild vibration and a zap equivalent to a static shock. In other words next to nothing. This product is relying on the number of people that don't take the time to go through the trouble of returning it.

I sit on .45 acres. Is that too small of an area for these type of collars?

I like your videos. However, referring to pet owners as pet parents is an incorrect use of the word parent. A parent has children; dogs and other animals are not children.

I had the same exact experience with Halo3. The SporOn worked flawlessly immediately after first GPS initialization.

Re-alerting when backing up is a major flaw. The purpose of the alert is to associate to your dog they have gone to far, if they get to the warning then hear the alert again, this is only going to confuse the dog and keep them from going back into the safe zone. Idiotic design.

The Nom nom website says it uses “premium” ingredients which makes me question if it’s human-grade (as Farmer’s Dog claims).

I have a 6 year old rescue that has been diagnosed with idiopathic renal bleeding after noticing blood in her urine. She’s been scoped and no kidney stones, cancer or parasites. Her bloods are currently fine, but her vet has put her on Tranexamic Acid 2x daily to control the bit of blood still present. I feed her organic food and now add in a tsp of wheatgrass and spirulina. I top her meals with Salmon oil. Is there anything else I should be doing or stop doing? She does have a healthy appetite. Thanks!

You discussed the battery life on the PetSmart, but not the Halo or SpotOn. From my research, it appears those two need to be recharged EVERY night. That is my biggest hold up on purchasing these GPS collars. Otherwise, I love the concept.

Thanks for doing what many of us wouldn’t 😅 I wonder if the bias of smell, look, etc. affects the decision of what tastes better. A non-biased experimentation would be to give the taste to someone who doesn’t know which is which and say what is their favorite (considering that nutrition is not a factor in the decision here). I had a Corgi-chi mix that lived to 16 years old. We have a Jack-chi who is 12 years old but doesn't seem like a senior at all. I really recommend getting mixes because it reduces the risk of genetic diseases. Just do research to make sure you're not getting them from a puppy mill.

I'm torn about buying Spot On. I hear great things about the collar (60 days, 90 days into use) but the ppl who have experienced issues and had to warranty their collars, it sounds like Spot On is a nightmare to deal with and are difficult to get ahold of. For $1300 cdn/collar (and I would need 2), I'd expect better customer service. I'm posting this on multiple Spot On review videos hoping to get some insight into peoples experiences with the collar - and also hoping to create awareness to both consumers and Spot On. They would have had my $2600 by now if it wasn't for the negative reviews about their customer service.

My experience with the Halo Collar has been awful. The collar detection is very inconsistent, may detect 20-50ft before, after or not at all which results in inconsistent confusing feedback to dog. Customer Service; Nonexistent. They advertise this 'Dog Park' and 24/7 customer service. To talk to a real person you have to make an apt and they are weeks out. Online hellp is a computer chat that only tosses articles at you to read. I'm regret purchasing the Halo Collar and am returning this

Yeah, no disrespect or anything but you're not tying the least the caller. You're putting it on a harness or you're putting on a normal dog collar not onto the shock collar that would obviously make the dog feel uncomfortable
