This looks good for a commercial building. The framing looks like it would need to be perfectly level and square. I live in a hundred year old house. You need to fill gaps. Drywall is the only. option

I'm not too picky, anything easy for me to do is probably the choice I would make. A lot of people want to conform to traditional materials and that means they might not end up with what they really want.

I would have to do a couple houses to form a really good opinion. Im doing drywall repair as I comment. I had pipes burst this last winter twice. I have hung drywall in the past but never did finish work. I went to utube and learned repair work and it is coming out really well. Everyone yall have a great day!!

Price is my issue. $300 fortruesscore vs $20. I can learn to mud for that price. Clearly this product isn't really aimed at the DYIer.

enjoy all the sound transmission. the weight of drywall helps eliminate a ton of noise transmission. just because it's fast and easy to install doesn't mean its better...

Hello Trusscore, goodbye bank balance. I considered these but the price drove me away. Drywall is a pain, especially doing a ceiling. But the pain is worth it, especially for a DIYer who will take much more time than a pro or Trusscore installer, but is a DIYer for reasons economic and pride. As for the fire and smoke related question, if the ceiling or wall is REQUIRED to be fire rated, then a fire rated wall must be installed under the Trusscore. They state in their literature that the fire rating is the same a a NON fire rated So to be fair, if the cost is worth the ease of installation to you, that's fine. It boils down to Trusscore being suitable for some applications and not others.

What is truss core's fire rating compared to drywall? Does it meet the same standards?

what about hanging items on it & painting? nothing was mentioned...

I thought this was supposed to be a direct drywall alternative, not a complete wall in itself. Looks very flimsy.

Is it available at Lowes, Home Depot, Meeks, Ace, CHC, etc..?

Interesting and good for a garage. However, a formal interior room with crown molding? Not for me. Reminds me of a ZipUp system I recently installed to waterproof a lower deck.

Garbage

I feel like this would make sense for like garages and even like ceilings inside of houses because most ceilings stay white so this is not really gonna be an issue to install something like this

We are considering this for a shower/bathtub, where there is a window and a lot of water damage in the old drywall from the window leaking from the outside. Our plan is to replace the window (we don't think we can match the siding to just fill it in) and then do this over the top to seal it from the shower. It would involve stripping out all the drywall on an exterior wall and replacing it with this. When you say leave gaps, will that also create a water issue in the wall because of the shower? I learned of your product because someone did an unsolicited endorsement and mentioned they saw it in a car wash, so I'm sure there's a solution there. I'm also thinking of putting the channel wall past the shower on both sides for storage. Are there more decorative hooks or shelves for indoor use (either third party or in your system)? Thanks!

The demonstration is not accurate . They used 2 white guys for the drywall. If it was in real life they would have been 2 Mexicans and they would finished their side first and then went over to help that other guy . 😅😅😅😅 I like how the Studs are perfectly spaced out for the panels. So I'm guessing there are no cutting or ripping no outlets switches no windows no doors? Can I please get the directions to this perfect world you live in? Lath and plaster will make a come back before this will replace drywall. O yeah ,What about the fire rating.?

It does not appear Trusscore has any fire resistance...Is this true? IBC requires garages have a 20 min adjacent to living quarters. Do installers need protection from plastic dust when cutting? How are nail holes plugged?

A good Boarder good install the Board in half hour and a good taper could finish inunder three hours that said you havs a nice product,

show us a closeup of the joints. Does the stud width have to be different and is the board forgiving if there is a bit of framing discrepancy

I would consider trusscore if the panels were Large. The less lines on my interior garage wall the better. Like 4 x 10 ft panels. I installed 4 x 12 sheets of drywall so why can’t the panels be made large. You could fasten the outer edges and glue the center of the panels???

any firefighter will tell you that you should not use this product. The dangerous chemicals given off in a fire will kill you. Once again Bryan has screwed up in promoting this product. Anything for the money.

We install similar product on carwashes. Very industrial looking. I dont know if it's paintable.

Nice bling Brian. Sure if you like watching your walls melt. What happens if some one damages the wall? Can you patch it with plastic. National Residential Code does include this product in literature.

I use 3/8 plywood behind drywall. Very strong, solid walls.

A few questions. What is the price comparison? Do you manufacture gray panels? This looks like a good alternative to drywall.

Product is fine when you want a PVC finished wall such as a storage room, garage, possible laundry. Not so good for living area of a house.
