The internet is crazy place. MF rewriting history to fit their agenda. The VA's scandals (particularly the one with her bandmates) ruin Haruhi Suzumiya image beyond repair. It is equivalent to watching Samuarai X while knowing the mangaka is pdfile.

To anyone worried about the Haruhi books not having an ending - they do! You sort of have to read it yourself to see it as an ending, though, 'cause it doesn't sound particularly conclusive when you're just listing the events of it. It's more a thematic conclusion. Haruhi Suzumiya was always going to end one way - Haruhi's divine will assured that. Therefore, Tanigawa (the author) didn't actually have to write the words "happily ever after," he just had to let you know that Haruhi had faith those words would come true. It took eleven books to make clear to Kyon that Haruhi believed in a happy ending. And that's where it ended - book eleven. And now there's a twelfth book and a thirteenth on the way and they aren't epilogues set ten years later or anything - they're just more Haruhi, because we can imagine what that epilogue ten years later would look like, and I love it. Good books, those. They make you think. I recommend anyone give 'em a read, regardless if they've seen or liked the show. (Of course, if you've seen the show, skip to book five.)

This is my favorite manga or anime off all time no anime can beat the MUSIC the EMOTION the build up/hype around it on every episode and i can for sure say it the lenght of the introduction on every anime character is very well thought and i like that every episode is only 20 mins for every episode it sits perfectly not too long or too short it just a good sweet spot.The story is just sooo good that u wanna rewatch the whole anime/manga over and over again for years and the way they tell the story is just outstanding. I got the whole manga books on my shelv since early 2003 once a year i reread all of it LOOOOVE IT ORO <3. My wish is that if RK in the future will make a fighting game with all the characters we see in the manga and ofc with rollback netcode and ofc ill main KENSHIN xD if that happens believe.

You know I been thinking of accelerator vs Gojo recently and how truly funny that match up is. Like say for argument’s sake Accelerator gets trapped in Gojo’s domain, were it plants infinite information into someone brain to the point where it fries it. Well Accelerator has a supercomputer brain, tied to a network that takes the burden of his calculations a lot that also has the powers to elevate an individual to godhood, and that network has a subconscious independent will that works in the favor of him. Accelerator if he could not take the burden of infinite void, could get help from the network and even if he didn’t the will probably would do it anyways. Why I say all this? Cuz man probably could just sit in the domain chilling for 3 second then add the sure hit to his vector calculations and be immune to it. Man is busted 🤣

Also worth noting: In the early 2010s Kyoani moved to almost exclusively making anime that they owned the completely rights to. It allows them to get a greater slice of the pie, so adapting a Kadokawa work is less likely. That said I feel like they'd probably make an exception for Haruhi.

I had heard a Jaoanise criminal was a fan of this series and the song they dance too and of the scenes in this anime refer to S..de . and so tgis this anime played a huge role in shaping the criminal mind set now I am not too sure but this is what I heard a long time ago

If you haven’t read the novels they are fucking incredible. They are on Amazon and free audio books on youtube by fans. It does have a very satisfactory ending, with like a could there be more ending. But there doesn’t need to be. Would love to see it be adapted though.

I liked the series until it happened...... Endless Eight. Bro "Endless Eight" made me want to smash my head into a wall, I could only watch 4 episodes of that Arc till I skipped to the episode that he gets out of the loop. (Watching 5/8 episodes of endless Eight was more than enough suffering for me) I have no idea why they thought doing that was a good idea besides trying to make us understand the suffering that Yuki went through remembering everything like we did.

This series has a wierd place in my memory just like how Kyon has estranged relationship with her"It does & shall exist" plus the animation & theme was right one time in early 2010 & Hare Hare Yukai yes I succumbed to it but the sin of having a dating life is too MUCH!?? I love Haruhi Suzumiya and I hope one day It makes a comeback. Also talking about " comeback " everyone was invited but the basis dude was probably at home thinking about his crush ready for breakfast excited for work then breaking news and his whole world changed. Poor basis as a guitar / piano and violin player I feel bad for that guy. Besides that wow I guess you can say only god knows what really went down that day. Cool video. ^_^

Only about half made it out. 36 were killed. Another 34 injured including the parasocial parasite arsonist. He’s currently appealing his death sentence. While Haruhi was not under production at the time of the fire, most of the production materials for the show were lost.

Maybe Tanegawa's image of Haruhi was ruined, so he couldn't bring himself to write a sequel.

it's not entirely the reason why kyoani stopped adapting haruhi, the main one they basically stopped adapting anime from outside publishers like kadokawa.

The Peppa Pig cameo still baffles me, the modern day Zoomers wouldn't have known, and I doubt the New Labour parents watched any anime other than the BBC Urusei Yatsura dub

Not true, this anime was nowhere in the 2000’s, I never saw it. if it did not air on toonami it was not the biggest. I do not even know if it was possible to watch this anime in those times in the states. I do not know if anime streaming existed online in 2006-2008. If it did I never heard of it

Three things: 1. The bonkers shit about the Endless 8 isn't just that it was the same script for two months. It's that, except for the credits, they didn't reuse a single frame of animation. It's a master class in using music, framing and line delivery to change the mood of a script. That leads to point 2: 2. The studio that put out Haruhi, Kyoto Animation, was the target of a brutal attack back in 2019. They're back in business, though, and if high school band PTSD flashback Sound! Euphonium season 3 is any indication, they're better than ever. Good animation is hard work, though, and it takes a lot of turnaround time if they're doing it ethically. KyoAni also probably has projects that they started before the attack that they want to finish up before taking new things on. 3. You're right about the money being important. Anime is advertising, and without something big to advertise, that's a lot of money going out without a clear return on investment.

Still praying for a Season 3 🙏🏻 I think if he pulls off one more light novel and its mini stories instead of episodic, then itll be more likely. Cuz the episodic light novels like dissociation and intrigues are worth a feature film
