Years later, and you my man, are a LIFE SAVER.
Yeah let’s use a fuckin metal screwdriver on plastic.🙄
Unfortunately, I did everything you did in this video.. and that onstar voice still comes on
The 09 Avalanche calls for 75W-90 gear oil for the rear differential and 80W-90 for the front according to the owner's manual.
Why would you want to disable onstar?
Thanks for posting, instead of an adjustable wrench they make 6 point open end hydraulic wrenches for working over lines.
Thanks! I used vise grips and it worked!!!👍🏼
I didn't know buffer springs can make such loud music. Smart idea playing that when we're trying to hear a difference in sound.
DO NOT apply compound to the part, apply it to the tool AFTER it is lubed and inserted into the upper. NOT doing this ends up introducing compound into the interior of the receiver and you end up also lapping the INSIDE. I could literally hear the grit of the compound against the inside of the upper as the tool slid in. 😢

Worked great, and no appreciable damage to the threads as promised. Appreciate the help.
And for the people that had some butt wipe at the factory over tighten a bird cage that didnt even have to be timed, crush their washer so there was no way to get it started on the threads, this is what I did. I used a small bearing splitter/puller and came in behind the washer snugging the splitter finger tight. Dont put it on the barrel. The tapered splitter will move the washer towards the barrel end and come partly between the washer and the barrel. Like I said, FINGER TIGHT!! I then threaded a 1/2"-28 nut on leaving about 3/16" hanging over the end of the barrel to protect the barrel and crown. I put a 1/4" flat piece of steel over that and mounted a Harmonic balancer puller to the bearing splitter. The Bearing splitter is tapered in the jaw and will grab the washer when you tighten the balancer puller. Dont use this to pull this off all the way. Its only to get the crush washer started so you can do what this guy is doing in the video. Just put enough pressure on to get the washer started. It wont take much. As you pull it a little the washer will catch the threads and straighten somewhat and get up on the threads. Once it does that you can do like the video. Frank who to the guy at PWS that did this. What a pain!! No damage to my barrel or threads. Some people used a dremel but I didnt feel safe doing that.

Hooked on phonics worked for me! ;-)
Thank you sir 👍👍
What's the size of socket?
You got some balls using a crescent wrench.
Does it need limited slip fluid in the front?
80W90 GL-5 gear oil (1500 front diff) or 75W90 synthetic gear oil (all HD models front diff). That is all I can say.
Cmon! Wear gloves ffs
I trued this method didn't work. I was able to get an angle on the crush washer and cut a small piece withiut damaging the threads. Used a pair of snips and cut it then bent it a bit more and used two attempts with the snipe yo break it off piece by piece until it came off.
"Sliding buffer weight is gonna give away your location" ...wut a crock of HS. Can't take you seriously after that.
Well.... If you are out in the woods deer hunting, spotting & stalking, and your firearm is unnecessarily rattling, maybe your location would be "given away." And maybe, just maybe, your game also would hear your firearm rattling and be out of the area long before you had a chance to even see it. So sorry for just trying to help and improve platforms and systems. Excuse the Hell out of me.
@@andycaldwell4828Maybe you shouldn’t make videos….maybe……
@@11binfantryfollowmeus.army95 That is a bold statement coming from someone claiming to be affiliated with an organization who hasn't formally won a war since 1945..... Maybe....
Thankyou
Yeah, I can't have my buffer rattle give away my position either.. When I'm ghillied up at the mall........
Mine won’t even thread
The one part I need to see you didn't show... Don't need 13 min to not explain to NOT explain the process. What a waste...
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Good afternoon, can you tell me the part code?
Can you tell me how to disable 4 g lte in newer vehicles? Will disabling onstar also disable 4 g lte?
If you ever came close to any gear lube, you know how foul it smells. If you get it on your skin, it tends to soak in and is difficult to get off. Wear rubber gloves and you'll be much happier.
Roger that.
thanks for sharing your experience. which part no. this replaced master cylinder
So, I basically did it the hard way and did it through the dipstick area instead of that big ol oil fill cap right there.......I hate this so much now.
Great advice, your videos are helpful and very informative.
Need to replace that booster has brake fluid in it. It’ll fail on you
thought the manual said like 3/4 inch below the fill plug ?
You are over tightening those bolts - that is an aluminum housing, you're going to wreck stuff! Should only be 18 ftlbs.
Depends on the build. There are three different torque specs depending on the build. Mine is 156ft lbs. The other two specs are 15ft lbs and 18 ft lbs. Crazy
@@butchcoplin2316 - 156ft lbs?! Come on?!
Bro I was told to place the truck on natural before moving the 2wd to auto and 4 high and 4 low. You had your truck on park no neutral
You need to be in neutral in order to switch to 4 low. That is all.
Thank you, Your video is really one of kind Made installing my running boards so much easier. Couldn’t find any other video with that weird DeF bracket

Where can I order for actuator part for my trailblazer 4x4 2013 model ltz

Awesome video thanks👍

No.. Just no.
Boy you must've been very unhappy when all these human rights orgs also called Israel an apartheid state last year. Thank you for summarizing the essay btw.
I don’t recommend sealant on the diff side. The sealant on the diff cover is plenty. It’s a pain in the ass next time you drain to clean that stuff from the diff side. Less debris to get into the diff next service interval.
I thinking I have an issue with the 4wd on my 2009 silverado. It shifts fine and I can feel it shift in the Tcase but it seemed like the front wasn't spinning at all. Could a bad actuator cause this? I have only noticed it once and haven't had a chance to climb under and check things out because of the weather.
Excellent
