Loved the tips SO MUCH!!!, I love doing art studies, in fact i've kept my track this WHOLE year with daily practices 🥹(i'm so happy lol, maybe i haven't achieved the level i wanted, but i've improved a lot 😭), but sometimes i avoid just studying a difficult topic AND practicing it too... something that helps me when i feel overwhelmed by a difficult topic is to allow myself to be a beginner and accept it in order to change it :33 I love the questionnaire you put at the end, i just loved everything haha 💟

In regards to physical vs digital the Internet Archive has plenty of books on art to read digitally for free. A bunch of Andrew Loomis books and painting books are there.

Good stuff.. I started my art journey last with a goal to eventually illustrated my own children’s books but got caught up following inspirational tutorials. Although I enjoy them, within me I still feel like I am not getting close to my goal. 😅 your video explained it. Need to look into fundamental videos now

5:54 this happened to me so many times 😭 I bought the color and light book and while reading it, everything clicked and I thought “oh it makes sense!” But later I’d forget about the things I learned because I didn’t try to apply it to my own art often

When I was moving I put all my books in a suitcase to move them 😅

Great advice. ❤ My first art book was: The Art of Posuka Demizu "Pone" and its near and dear to my heart.

I collect a lot of Japanese art books and I love them even I don’t know what the heck they are saying I know a few kanji and vocabulary but the grammar is hard. Anyway I want to use my Japanese art books so I can draw like my favorite artists I admire and I want to have make my very own art book. I want to practice making an art book in my sketchbook but it’s too hard to even do it if your an perfectionist I think this video is awesome and I love how you explain it clearly to use the art books This video is amazing 🤩

I have the Morpho book for drawing fat and folds. I like it because most anatomy books tend to ignore this aspect.

With the rampant ai promotion on Pinterest, I've been cracking open my inspiration based artbooks way more lately. Thanks for uploading! Hopefully this video will help encourage me to use the educational ones more now too.

i feel you on the wips since i have so many but i disagree with you on them being wasted efforts because every single thing you create helps you become better for the next creation and even if they are unfinished, they still played their part in helping you improve as an artist overall. but also, i get where you're coming from and your inner critic is usually the loudest and hardest and it can hold you back if you let. i'm glad you're not letting it anymore and you've shared your wips because they look pretty awesome✨
