the reading was absolutely wonderful

I kinda love this story BECAUSE it's so hard to have any predictions or theories about it. Usually you can always see several paths a story can go, but no. I *do* get the feeling she/they will win against it eventually? But... Right now I'm thinking that the only idea that can kill the idea of nothing is the idea of anything. Also I wonder, isn't the entity sort of paradoxical in the way that once you know it exists it sees you and you are killed. So I wonder what would happen if everyone in existence knows about it? Would it kill it or would it kill everything all at once? If everything knows about it, doesn't it stop being nothing/the void of anything? It becomes something else?

the only note for this one i have is that the background noise was of such good quality that it took me half the video to realise something wasnt knocking around in my room lmao

I had the good fortune to be able to purchase a hard copy of this book right away when Jeff warned that it was going out of print. Through these little book club readings, I had become hooked on the concept of the story and just couldn't wait for more and wanted to honour it with a proper purchase. (I'm still gonna continue watching these though, cuz Jeff reads them out in such a cool fashion) This book is written so damn cleverly with such admirable characters, and the chapters are laid out in a way that it feels like you're gradually piecing together a big mystery. I still have no idea how they thought it through so well. The story had more content to offer than I expected and I was really glad to be able to flip back and forth through the pages as I read in order to connect the dots that I noticed. They also have neat little typed out pictographs in the book to embellish the atmosphere here and there. I am rightfully obsessed with the antimemetics division now, and am quick to recommend anyone to give it a look. So thank you! :)

Wow, just wow! What a chapter!! Like a lot of others I saw in the comments, I was a little confused and thought it was ramping up towards an ending, but then BAM revelations! Can't wait to see where it goes (yes I'm still holding off on reading it myself because I love these videos 😂), and hope you're feeling (or will feel) better Jeff! ❤

I think Marion Wheeler may be my favourite character in SCP. I have been reading SCP for a very long time; I think it's a remarkable project in terms of the quality of its articles compared to any other online story telling (here's looking at you, 99% of creepypasta!) Still for me the antiemetics story is beyond almost anything else on the site. I already followed qntm a bit, both his stories and non fiction (his articles on time travel in stories are extremely fun), so bad the privilege of reading this story as it was published. Thanks for doing this project, it's great to have this in another format!

This had to have been such a huge influence on the game control. I know SCP in general was, but this story right here beat for beat is control. Great work!

I watched the sort movie series based on this book, but it ended here. It was quite unexpected that it’s just the first third

So looks like this is the end of Marion's story. My guess is it will pick up with another or a refounded antimemetics divison. Maybe that device really was built just somewhere else. Not sure if this entity is even able to be distracted, but if so there might be like decoy antimemetics divisons to hide where the real work is being done.
