เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 15 ต.ค. 2018
Welcome to BBB Adventures. We are Brently and Marybeth and cycling and bike adventures are a big part of our life and our objective is to share those experiences in the hopes that we will inspire others to get out and have their own amazing adventures. We are retired and the next chapter of our journey is to build a tiny home on wheels based on a vintage Toyota motorhome and then travel the US looking for biking adventures as well as find a few good craft beers along the way.
We are hoping you'll join us, encourage us, interact with us and share your own stories and adventures with us.
Thanks for watching.

Those tricky trikes look like fun!
Thanks for the bday wishes at the end! Lots of love to you both- and Disco Doggie, of course!
Did you ever find out why there was the gravel detour?
I love the Disco cam.
Thanks for the reminder of a great day guys. Someone specials Birthday and the memory of sitting outside the Kybo's that evening, asking for fellow campers PIN Numbers! How did we get there 😂
Thank you for another wonderful video. Stay safe and God bless
Love all your videos, and I have for years. Very entertaining content and well produced/edited. I don't understand why there aren't more subscribers. I'm trying to spread the word. I would subscribe more than once if I could. Thank you and keep it up!
Yaaay! I finally made a RAGBRAI video! That's me in the blue jersey and orange helmet leaving the air station.
That was maybe the roughest day…Enjoyed the second Backpocket stop with you guys. Great interviews, and another Apollo sighting. Love it. Great job
FYI, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, is home to a very large, and perhaps one of the biggest Steam Shows in the US. Steam Engines of all shapes and sizes. From Steam tractors to stationary engines, to locomotives. Plus all the old cars and trucks and other such things, you could want. I was there once way back in the 80's. P.S. whats the song you use for the Disco Cam?
Yes - That was a long day! I added the loop and did the 100; it got windy and warm! My butt hurt as well, but I was glad I did the extra! Talking about extra can we please get the extended cut "Disco Cam" dance club version.
That wind... I'd still do it again.
Thanks for sharing a great video. Loving the disco cam.
Great Video Thanks for the memories !!!
Sorry we didn't have the model trains running in Eldon. We were a little busy serving breakfast burritos at the depot.
Howdy, No worries. We totally understand. The amount of work the towns put into creating a great experience for the riders is huge and much appreciated. We'll have to find our way back to Eldon under more normal circumstances. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
You guys look spent laying there in the tent, but I’m certain yall wouldn’t have it any other way, almost there!!
Hey Darrin, For us it was the toughest day of the year with the head wind, climbing and big miles. It was also pretty hot that day. So, we were totally spent. But that's one of the great feelings of RAGBAI...being good and tired, it gives a sense of accomplishment and joy. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
You've got me jealous. I'm not able (choosing to not) go out on a ride today because we've got severe thunderstorms, 35 mph winds, and flash flood warnings. Do you know if Duzer was filming his ride this year? He's definitely earned a non-working RAGBRAI, but I would love to see his side if he's choosing to share this year.
Think he has just dropped a 2024 video
@@iancave6753 *I spoke it into existence*
Now I really want to go do it again. Great day 6 video!
Great Video 😊 I love the disco cam. Thanks !
Hey Albert, Thanks for the feedback. So happy you are enjoying the videos. We think the Disco Cam is fun, glad you do as well. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Up at 4:40 and still in camp as sun up, Disco was having a slow morning. Disco cams for the win. Love the interactions and tandem chats. Steve is sure doing a good job passing on the cycling traditions with the younger generation. Bloody Mary's before noon makes for a good day. Keep riding, Shaun. Good job with the riding. Love the reaction from Erica and Ben when they realized your BBB Adventures. I think the triple bypass wore out the legs, and you will have to decide to skip one of the rides next year. Conner needs to get a candy apple paint job for his bikes. DISCO cams for the win yet again this week. Be safe, and thanks for sharing your adventures.
One the best Ragbria videos ever made! Love the interviews! Disco Cam! I'm not even to the end yet! Thanks for all these videos!
Thanks Chris, So happy to hear you're enjoying our RAGBRAI coverage. The Disco Cam is fun. We are grateful to have been able to capture a small fraction of the interesting stories from all the amazing riders participating in this event. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Up too early. Disco's a trooper! Lots of "interviews" with people with interesting stories. Thanks!
Hey Craig, Disco did really great all week. We were very happy he tolerated it so well. However, we was completely exhausted after balancing in his basket for 85 miles. There are so many fun and interesting people on RAGBRAI and we are grateful we are able to capture a few of them. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I did PBV, too. They were great. You guys must have kept a low profile - I don’t think I saw you once.
Thank you BBB Adventures! They say you can't go home again, but you just enabled me to do just that. I grew up in Colorado and road various sections of your Triple BiPass many time but never together. I so remember driving over Loveland pass before the Eisenhower tunnel and thinking what a big pass it was, but I never ventured riding over it when I started riding bikes in the mid-eighties. I now live in the Phoenix area and I was able to be transported back to Colorado on my treadmill this morning by watching this video! What a great time I had and yes, you've sparked the desire to do the ride. However, I'm definitely looking into an E-bike of some sort as I don't get a lot of altitude and hill training where I currently ride. Keep making these videos!
Love your marital chemistry notably filled with love and humor❤ - You both appear to wear prescription glasses when not riding. Are your bike sunglasses prescription too? If so, what brand?
The first back pocket stop was so fun day 5. I remember thinking that’s why we keep going back year after year-sitting with friends meeting like minded people while relaxing in the grass on a shady spot. Oh, and the pork chops…. 🍺 🐖 🚴 Ryno
You two are ambassadors of HAPPINESS! Love your interviews!
Another awesome looking day... though by cutting out the hill climbing, you are making it look easy. *lol*
Hey Greer! It was a great day and there was a lot of hill climbing, not as much as some of the other days but still plenty of ups and downs. You bring up a good point about making it look easier than maybe it was. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Just kidding though! Highlight the positives because that is what you remember when you complete all the hills anyway! <3
Give it up already...Everyone is wanting money for some stupid cause. Too Much GREED in the World today.
Howdy, The nice thing about people raising money for a cause is that you don't have to contribute if you don't want to. I guess the other thing to note is that RAGBRAI designated this day as the "I Ride 4 Day" which perhaps encouraged folks to sponsor a cause. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
36:04 Not a rail trail. Ottumwa simply put trails on top of nearly all their levees. There is a rail trail that starts downtown that connects to the levee trails.
Howdy, Thanks for clarifying that. It did seem like a rail trail which is why I made that statement. It's fantastic that Ottumwa puts trails on the levees. It looked like a very beautiful place. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
See the guys in their Speedos (ouch), gave me a thought - Brently in a Speedo, riding a bike! 😂
Hey Steve, Nope....just nope. There won't be any Brently in a Speedo footage on BBB Adventures. We don't want to loose subscribers for graphic content. :) Thanks for the not so good suggestion. :) Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
29:11 Majestic. Magical. Perfect.
Hey Jo, Those guys crack me up. There were riding in support of a cause and those outfits certainly get one's attention. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Question. Just how big are those pork chops?
If you’re a guy, open your hand and spread your fingers as wide as possible, that’s how big they are and about 3/4” to 1” thick. Super yummy!
@@stevederr4927 Well, I'm not a guy. If I can't eat the whole chop at once, I hope it will still be safe to eat if I keep part of it for later in the day!
Cecil, They are big. Under normal circumstances it might be difficult to finish one but on RAGBRAI when you're burning lots of calories, it's not that hard to finish one. This year, Mb and I shared one and I wished I'd gotten my own. Steve is right, they are super yummy. I think you could easily keep part of one for later in the day. Perhaps bring a large zip lock bag to keep it in. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Nice interview with John. It was a real pleasure to ride with John, Mary & Sean this year at RAGBRAI. Thanks for your excellent coverage of the ride.
Howdy, Thanks, we really enjoyed meeting John and chatting with him. He's got lots of entertaining stories. We are happy to hear you are enjoying BBB Adventures, hopefully you'll stick around for more adventures. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
another fun installment.... I'm going on a quick one-night trip with some friends tonight - beer, bonfire, poker, etc. Sleeping in a tent - thinking of Ragbrai.
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the RAGBRAI series. Can't wait to do it again. Hope you had a great time on your trip...it sounds awesome. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
@@BBB_Adventures and wear a helmet! ha ha. weekend trip was a blast. see you next week.
I grew up in Iowa and lived there for most of my adult life and there is always a little town I've never heard of before. LOL
@@cdmiller51 Hey Craig. Over the 10 years we've been doing RAGBRAI we've pedaled through many little towns, it's really quite amazing. I've often wondered if there are Iowans that know all the towns. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Nice video!!
@@TL243 Howdy. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
YES! I'm having my cream cheese bagel before I go out for about 20 maintenance miles. Thanks for the early upload!

Loved meeting you guys! It was super fun doing that trike race! I hope the foot has healed up okay Mary Beth!
Hey Alayna! We are so happy you found BBB Adventures and the Tricky Trike race. Hopefully you can get all your friends to watch. We are so grateful you guys agreed to play with us. And congratulations again on whipping our butts. However, we'll be looking for some sort of rematch next year. Mb's foot healed up fine...no permanent damage. :) Thanks again for watching and for the comment. Enjoy the Ride
Great job Brently! Have fun at Ragbrai. What were your f/r granny gears for this ride. Are you thinking about the California Death Ride?
Hey Todd, Thanks. It was a tough event but very rewarding. We had a great time at RAGBRAI, hopefully you'll get a chance to check out those episodes. My bike is a Giant TCR and I had a 32 tooth cassette installed before the Triple Bypass. The front chain rings are 52t/35t. I was very happy with the gearing. I haven't thought about the California Death Ride. Perhaps I should. Have you done it? Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
We love the Disco Cam!
Hey Chris, I'm happy to hear you are enjoying the Disco Cam. It sure gives a different perspective on what the ride looks like. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
I LOVE the Disco Cam :). You made me relive the indianaola hell hill just watching you!
Excellent day!
Greer! Thanks, so happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
Holy hell I remember the climb @ 12min. Rude AF.
We just want to be back riding through towns , struggling up hills, sitting in the grass at Backpocket & talking with you guys. Our hopes are that the million that see this get inspired like we did and pack a bag every July. ❤ Ryan & Beth
It was SUCH a hot day!!! Thanks for letting us relive another fun day of riding bikes!
I remember rolling into Knoxville and upon seeing a McDonald’s on the left and thinking “civilization!” and had to stop for a shake, fries, coke and quarter pounder with cheese! So good!
Yay, i saw myself in someone else's video! Before this year, i had never seen myself in anyone's video (12th RAGBRAI), this year i saw myself in several.
Hey!! It's super cool you found yourself in this episode. We also look for ourselves in other videos but the only time we've seen ourselves is in a video of someone we know like Ryan VanDuzer. Thanks for watching. Enjoy the Ride
