Mate, awesome video, thankyou for the tip. Subbed. A question: my partner complains about the smell of the Tamiya extra thin cement I use for putting kits together - I have to use a space reasonably close to our main lounge area, unfortunately. I never had an issue until recently, but she's right, its bloody strong! I tried making sprue glue using the Tamiya cement, but it is just to whiffy. I see you use the Revell Contacta, and I have ordered some. I intend using it because I think the stink coming from the small nozzle will be greatly diminished, but referring to your video, do you think that the fumes from the Contacta were not to bad when employing your seam elimination process?

I was in at the birth of this board. The 'large' pieces of timber and realisation that a using your 'mates' space was the only way to go. I am beyond impressed with the final result. Your story telling is enhancing the the 'reality' of the board. Little did I realise what a talent had been unleashed when a much younger 'man' asked if he could have 'very specific' model for a birthday / Christmas . Only problem now is the need for a much larger studio to fully realise you 'battle' grounds of your imagination. (Plus shout out to any other. 'Responsible Adult' who went to shows so that you could meet like minded people and go to workshops to enhance your modelling skills. ). Next step is to have a live' battle on the board , with your mates supplying cannon fodder & commentary.🎉🎉🎉🎉

This is such an awesome gaming table. So much detail. I really want to build something like this, but I have no talent or Imagination. The work really shows in this board. Very cool. Also, as a diorama connaiseur, I applaud the decision to omitt the space marine; one of my pet peeves with dioramas is the lack of direction and focus, and anyything but the guardsmen and the tyranids would have taken attention away, ie make the diorama lose focus. Very well done.

How come you glue the tyranids in assembly? I thought everything could just be pushed together (am new, just wondered if it's reccomended to glue or not)

Its something I've noticed a lot with new players, they learn about some spacemarine chapter and like it, then they try painting and they simply imitate how they're "supposed to" look, when i began the hobby a million years ago it was all about creating your own chapters and painting how you like. There's absolutely no reason you couldn't paint a Spacemarine chapter with camo patterns or tiger stripes, whatever, you don't have to paint whole block colours

Im here to see what one of these glues will be best for magnetizing my warhammer for models if use Tamiya extra thin liquid cement glue and use superglue for magnetizing or basing

If anyone buys and or plays those trash weapons platforms they have bigger issues than color schemes.

Same problem, took a day or two break and when I came back to paint, everything looked much better. So if you're struggling a bit, take a short break and come back with fresh eyes.

Has a First Gulf War vibe to my eyes, pretty darn cool. Arctic and urban camo would be an interesting look on them too.

I think it depends on the army. Some armies I just think is best and appealing as the default. Space marine chapters like Imperial fists for example, and others like tyranids are prime for custom schemes. Imperial guard I am debating. They are so good as is, and although stuff like this is nice, it can kinda lose the warhammer aesthetic that ties the factions together. I mean, camo doesn't seem like their thing when they just seem to swarm ww1 style in number instead of stealth. More like playing a modern army against warhammer 40k factions. Idk, just depends and how well you execute it so that it fits still.

So you choose the shortest used and second most garbage pattern used by the US Army….. lol

I would add that using the box art as a reference is a good idea, especially in the beginning of the hobby when you don't know much about colors and how they look together. Get the basics of painting down then branch out into creating new and interesting color schemes.
