Established in 2023, the College of Arts and Humanities carries forward Clemson University's founding vision as a "high seminary of learning." Led by founding Dean Nicholas Vazsonyi, CAH includes the departments of English, History and Geography, Interdisciplinary Studies, Languages, Performing Arts, and Philosophy and Religion.
Helping trafficking survivors: Jasmine Road and Clemson University
Jasmine Road recently received a $10,000 grant from Bank of America after Clemson University Department of English senior lecturer Will Cunningham and his Fall 2022 business writing class spent a semester crafting an application. The nonprofit is South Carolina’s first long-term residential program for adult women survivors of sex trafficking, prostitution and addiction. The Clemson Players present "Little Women" a stage adaptation by Kate Hamill of the classic story by Louisa May Alcott. Showing on March 9 and 10 at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, the play is a keystone of Clemson's College of Arts and Humanities' 2024 celebration of Women's History Month.

Pearce Center interns help elementary students become authors

Clemson University students at the Pearce Center for Professional Communication helped local second graders at the Central Academy of the Arts achieve the dream of becoming authors. Working together, the students created a 140-page book, entitled “Our Favorite Animals,” which each child received a copy of at the end the school year.

To whom am I doing this? I learned these questions from my call center coach and through that, she helped us discover and be reminded of our purpose. Be it a purpose for that course or your bigger life's purpose. Trust me. It helps.
