On day two of the trip, the dawn arrives in calm. After a first mug of tea the early breeze stirs and I get underway. Outside the river a fresh breeze is building.

'GSL Myny' Departure - Centre Lead Forward
Beautiful video Chris. Looks like you’ve set your boat up nicely for an over night adventure. Enjoyed watching your early morning shots. Looking forward to more of your adventures.
Thanks for watching David. Overnights are always an adventure. The sunrise and sunset are worth the effort.
Good day Chris, you do a great job capturing a day sail on Ysolde. I love the video angles and sounds you take while underway. I also noticed your tiller rope work, very nice. Moving onto part 2, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the encouraging remarks David. The ropework was the first job to put my mark on Ysolde. Cheers.
Lovely day for a sail. I took the ferry back from Portarlington Thursday last week- it looked very different to that!
Thanks for watching Peter. Yes, it can get nasty out there!
Thanks Chris! Very nice. An excellent advertisement for simply messing about in boats.
And the new tent was very cosy!
@@chrisstockman904it looks pretty good alright. I was admiring the setup in your video. It will be interesting to see how that canvas holds up in rain 🤔 We will have to toughen up and schedule an overnighter on a rain forecast.
An elixir for the soul indeed! Well done Chris! Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks Gary, a day like that leaves you feeling very satified.
Looks like an enjoyable day on the water.
Yes, it was great. Thanks David
Brilliant!
Thanks for watching
An enticing "short" Chris, thankyou. Is an extended version in the works?
That's all I managed to get Gary, apart from what I sent over the other day. Cheers, but then again?
Excellent video. Lovely sunrise and nice calm conditions. The water looked very clear.
Yes, it was a very pleasant day. Thanks for looking in.
Beautiful pictures obviously, but the sound effects are lovely too. All done with the in-camera mic? Amazing!
Hi Peter, thanks for looking in. This was all filmed on my phone camera, no fancy gadgets. Glad you enjoyed it.
Good day Chris, looks like you had a nice, relaxing sail. I love when I start my trip early in the morning and watch the sunrise. It’s a special time of day. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Thanks David, yes, early starts are great.
Grear work Chris - good to see you are making t5he most of your yacht! Not sure how much help the "staysail" would be though!
I think she is one of the busiest boats on the bay. The staysail is an unknown quantity, but it looks good! 😂 Thanks for looking in Michael, the boat that you built gives me so much joy.
@@chrisstockman904 Delighted to hear thyat.
A wonderful day on the water again Chris.
Worth getting up early. Cheers Daff
I'll keep an eye out for you when I'm next down at South Werribee. I haven't seen any Scamps in the wild!
They are a rare species indeed. Thanks for looking in.
That is a lovely boat.
Thanks
Thank you for sharing your journey. I enjoyed a lot.
Thanks for watching
Swinging the lead again! 😊 Thanks for your explorations Chris. Looks like a lovely day on the water. Well done!
Haha, I gave in to the dark side today and downloaded Navionics.
@@chrisstockman904 😮 Well, it is another useful cross check. Just so long as you don’t go getting lazy like 99% of boaters and rely on it to the exclusion of everything else.
Hi Chris, What a lovely day to go kayaking. At 6.03 I see Air bubbles , thinking it was something wrong like a gas leak but I know we don’t have a gas pipeline there then 2 seconds later a Scuba-dive with out a A flag
G'day Mark, it was a lovely day on the water. Still looking for that diver!
Beautiful video Chris, it’s nice seeing your part of the world 🗺️
Thanks for looking in David, it is an interesting part of the coastline. Wetlands with great wildlife.
Perfect day for a paddle and recon.
Cheers Daff, it was a great day out.
Good reconnaissance Chris! Lovely video of a lovely spot. Thankyou.
Thanks Gary, it was a fun day.
Who knew that such a foggy morning would turn out to be a perfect paddling day. Great job on capturing so many beautiful vistas, I really enjoyed the wildlife action. Very nice adventure! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it
I just noticed this video posted in the Port Phillip Bay Dinghy Cruising Facebook group. Such a wonderful local adventure. Well done. ... I just picked up two little Mirror Dinghies, and I cannot wait to get out there and enjoy the bay and local rivers and creeks. Keep the videos coming. Cheers.
Thanks for the comment. It was a beautiful night on the water. Get those Mirrors ready, spingtime will soon be here.
@@chrisstockman904 Hopefully, I'll see you out in the bay. Cheers Chris.
Apologies to Campbell, I noted you as Cameron in the credits.
So meditative relaxing to watch. Superb! Virginia :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Another Port Phillip cruising showcase! Well done.
Thanks Wayne, it was a quiet day out there.
Another great video, Chris! Nothing like the flat water Northerly, on a sunny, nearly winter day. I ended up out for a sail, after boat inspection got canceled. We did sail handling for my learner sailor. Williamstown to Black Rock & back, in the F24 tri. We could see you gents sailing to west of us. We paid a visit to marker T28 as well, to say hello to the seals, at about 2pm ish. What a perfect day!
Yes Wayne, it was a perfect day. Glad you were able to get out too. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
When two yacht or more meet there always tends to be a race in some form. A lovely day to get out and about with company to be with Chris.
Thanks for watching Daff, you're right about the race but it's never official 😉
Hi Chris, As you guys where out there have a great last sail before winter , I was working on the dolphin and now all I need is just one more pin and I am ready to join you guys. You definitely had a wonderful sail on the day. And once again thank for helping me get out of your canoe the other day . LOL
Thanks Mark for watching, looking forward to you joining us for a winter sail.
Good to see Stringybark getting out and about, and glad she has gone to good home. A nice touch that the paddler's outfit is colour coordinated with the parrot on the boat.
Haha, I never even realised. What a fashion icon! Of course , better to be a parrot than a duck this time of year 😅
Very good Chris. Now if we sail over and you climb Arthur's Seat you could be doing a Flinders re-enactment.
Will you not be climbing with me? 😅
@@chrisstockman904 someone needs to mind the boats. ☺️
Hi Chris, I’m really enjoying your videos. Makes me want to complete a night cruise, maybe this cruising season.
Thanks David, moon light makes the cruise wonderful.
Great video Chris! Crafted descriptions of your journey. Hope I can join you for some of your voyages.
Thanks Wayne, looking forward to it.
Thanks Chris for expanding the dinghy cruising experience. Enjoyed your adventure. There is always more to it.
It was a great trip Gerard, thanks.
Fantastic micro adventure Chris, bravo! Really enjoyed the video, thankyou for sharing it.
Thanks Gary, glad you enjoyed it.
Good day Chris, I really enjoy watching your videos. You have a beautiful sailboat and I like being able to see where you cruise with her. Your filming and editing are excellent! I look forward to following your channel. Happy retirement…Thanks, David
Thanks for the kind comments David, and thankyou for looking in. I will be watching out for more from Tramontana.
Lovely!
Thanks for watching Peter
Thanks Chris.. A place to sooth and settle the soul while I grow old.. I appreciate the way you've captured our little place of heaven in verse.
Glad you enjoyed it Gerard.
Sailing just for fun! Splendid Chris. Complete with a visit from the dolphins. Lucky you!!!
It's hard to beat a day like that one!
Lovely Chris. Thankyou!
Thanks for that Gary.
Hi Chris, I like your Marlinspike work on the tiller.
Thanks Mark
Great video as usual. Kate is green with envy. It almost makes me want to take up sailing.
Give it a go! 😊
Top sail... sailing. Yawn so relaxing and the Dolphins knew where you pointed the camera. Well done Chris.
Getting well acquainted with those guys !
Ship looks like NYC DEP SLUGE SHIP
What is your boat Powered by on this trip Chris?
A Torqeedo 1003CS electric outboard.
Lovely Chris, what a history!
Thanks Peter, I am lucky to have great memories.
Thanks Chris, looks like an exhilarating sail! Lovely footage of "Ysolde" heading out. Good to see the DCA burgee flying up there!
Thanks Gary, it was great to get back in the saddle.
Really nice Chris, thankyou! Is there a new camera person on the team? I detect a new perspective in this one ?
Hi Gary, well spotted. My wife was onboard for this trip and added her contributions. She now understands the re-living the adventure thing!😅
Great little cruise and a change for you. You really have to appreciate Clive Barnards boats moored in the river. A great shipwright who was the foreman of the Ports and Harbours Shipwright Dept in Williamstown for decades. He and Laurie Dilk are legends. Have been up that river to watch an aerobatic plane practising a decade or so back found out a month or so later he crashed and did not survive at the same place.
Thanks for watching Daff. I remember Clive and Laurie from my PMA days. Those boats are testament to great tradesmen and are always recognizable with his trademark blue. There were times yesterday when I thought those wings would touch, thankfully not.
Heck yeah
Thanks for watching.
