Aluna hanging out with family
มุมมอง 544 ปีที่แล้ว
Fourth and final segment of the Aluna Baboon series. Hopping around, digging, investigating stuff. All the things an 11 week old baboon should be doing. And she is just so cute doing it!
Aluna at the peak
มุมมอง 354 ปีที่แล้ว
Aluna baboon, climbing and jumping. The remarkable part is how much time her mother allowed her to spend with her uncle Muiru. Who is getting quite masculine looking, by the way. I wonder if he will be sent off somewhere soon.
Aluna on the platform
มุมมอง 294 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the second in a series of videos I shot starring Aluna, the newest addition to the Baboon troop at the Oakland Zoo in Northern California. In this video, she is on the platform with her mother, and quite a few more Baboons throughout the video. Her attempts to jump while her mother holds her tail are pretty amusing. And she does like to jump. Until she wears out and needs a snack from mom.
Aluna in the dirt

This is the first of a series of videos I shot starring Aluna, the newest addition to the Baboon troop at the Oakland Zoo in Northern California. In this video, she is sitting, running, playing and eating in the dirt. Other videos will show her on log piles, and other areas of the baboon habitat. She and her mother Mocha are quite often hanging out with Mocha's father Martijn, and Mocha's half ...

The Sun Bear Enrichment Study provided me with an entertaining view of a Sun Bear going after as much of the honey stashed away in a "honey log" as she could get. And she had to work for it. The music was purchased from Audioblocks.com

Camera with long lens on Cotton Carrier CCS G3
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I see people carrying cameras around on their waist or on a strap around their neck and I remember how often some kid would run into me at the zoo and hit their head on the lens, or if I turn and don't see a child right next to me, the poor kids gets bonked! Carrying a $9500 lens made makes me even more paranoid about damage. My Cotton Carrier allows me to have my hands free when needed, yet av...
Nikkor 120-300mm Lens Unboxing

Just a quick look at the new Nikkor 120-300mm Lens (F Mount) I haven't seen any others on TH-cam yet, and I am not usually able to be the guy who gets the newest stuff first. So I thought I should get this out quickly. My desktop NVMe boot drive died last week and I am waiting for a replacement, so no fancy intro for this video. I edited this on on my laptop. Thanks. Your tennis video is awesome! Enlightening! Will watch your sun bear video too.
Great video
Thanks for the short and to the point review. 👍
Thank you for the video. However, I found it is impossible to mount the plate horizonly into the harness like what you did. I am using CCS Universal Tripod Adapter Plate.
Are you sure the arrows are pointing to the front and back on the almost round part and not left and right.
@@stevengotzThe arrow is to the right as the picture shown at 31st second in this video. And did you use the exact same plate?I think you might add something on the plate before you mount it on the harness. Thank you very much!

Thanks for share
Hey Steve, thanks for the review! The bag is being worn slightly high in this video. The straps can easily be adjusted, just need to find your length 😉 We have some new tutorial videos for getting started now on our website: bevisgear.com/pages/tutorials - enjoy!!
I was really looking forward to using mine but found a major problem. I have an R5 with an L plate on it. The bag is about a half-inch too short in height. When the camera with the plate on is in there it doesn't really close. I mean I can force it closed and the special latch will do its thing but it's only closed there. The actual whole flap isn't flat because the height is too small and you can look right in because it's only actually closed at the latch point. Seems silly they wouldn't think someone might want to put a camera with an L plate in there. I am very disappointed and find it unusable for my purposes
Even with my smaller Olympus I have to turn the tripod foot to get it to fit. And extra inch in height would have been a smarter move.
great system however, the harness rides up when taking the camera out of the vest. I thought they would fix it by now.
I have this, and the shoulder straps can be altered, as inside the vest where they slip though, you can alter them, so the unit sits lower in the chest, I use it with a sigma 250/600, no problem.
@@brendoncollins5887 Did you mean Sigma 150/600?I have the 150/600 sport and thinking about getting this harness.
It looks like this system would not work well i.e. be comfortable for women.
I'm a slight, short woman (51kg, 157cm) and it works really well for me. I have mine adjusted so it sits a bit lower on my body. I have used it with my 200-500mm lens but in general I am using my 70-200mm f/2.8 with it. I hike all day with it and it keeps my camera wonderfully secure, but close at hand. I have recommended it to quite a few women of different body types and all have been very pleased with it. I hope that helps!
@@fionalovett Thank you very much Fiona for your reply and help. I appreciate it.
Looks stupidly uncomfortable for men as well.
@@tomvana4270 actually, I find it pretty comfortable. Keep in mind you are seeing it with a crazy heavy lens. When I put a more reasonably sized lens like a 300mm, or a 70-200mm, it works even better. I just can't put a huge lens on a strap and have it around my neck. And on my waist can be a problem at a zoo with kids running around and bonking their heads on the lens.
@@stevengotz Glad it works well for you.
Got mine today. See we as big guys have the same problem. Top shelf is really high when we sling it into the front. Looks cooler on the ‘slim’ guys video. Rest of the big is top notch. Have fun with yours!
Thanks
Does that put the camera body too close to your chin? I am considering this system, also do you find it to be warm in summer?
I have not been bothered by the summer heat, but then again, I just moved to Northern Arizona and I will be out in a lot more heat than I was in Northern California. So I may find out that it is too warm, but I kind of doubt it. As for the camera body being under my chin, it hasn't bothered me at all. This is the only lens that I have that is this big. What I am having trouble with is looking at my chest with a mask on. I have to pull the mask down just a little to see how to put it back on the carrier. A little practice now and then helps, so that by the end of the day I can do it without looking.
Great review
tennis is ez and hard as well
Tennis can be played for fun, or for exercise, or for competition. Each is a bit tougher on the body that the last. I find it amazing that people still watch this low resolution video, but the Pro really did a decent job of teaching the topic.
💥✨💥 Great review thank you
Very realistic demonstration of topspin.Thank u so much.
thank you so much this was really helpful
He doesn't even know what he is talking about. On 1:31 he is confusing topspin with backspin.
Do you know if it's compatible or suitable for a Gimbal Head tripod instead of regular tripod. I can't figure how I could attach the plate supply with Gimbal. I have a Sony 200-600mm lens.
Is the plate a standard Arca Swiss?
Yes! It's a 4" arca swiss plate. This plate slides in a 4" Gimbal clamp. To balance the lens, we just have to move the 4" plate move in and out on the Gimbal plate. As any Gimbal Head Tripod, the L plate of the Telephoto is attached over the 4" plate Arca supplied with the Gimbal Head.
I'm a little confused. Nikon claims, and shows a CL-C2 case, which appears to be a simple soft envelop. My box and case was just like yours. The warranty was a simple white thick paper. No second yellow paper like other Nikkor warranty cards.
That’s got to be loud for them . Most of those sirens are 100 decibels plus
Yes. It is loud. I can't decide if they are bothered by it, fascinated by it, concerned for the really loud wolf who sounds like it is in distress, or what. But they do not seem to be afraid of it in any way. Thankfully.
you are a great photographer. ty for sharing this!
I love how this video is really simple, basic and direct to the point. awesome video. thanks. (others tend to blabber and talk too much about anecdotes and stories which I don't need)
It is a very old video, but tennis hasn't changed any in the last 13 years that I know of. :)

A helpful review, thanks!
I will have mine in the AM from Normans Camera in Michigan..Sure would love to find me a D6 here in USA forsale..
Congratulations. I still have not have not had a chance to use (and test) mine for what I purchased it for. But the time is coming. As for the D6, it will not be long now. By the end of summer 2020, I imagine. But since 2020 is so fouled up, who knows. At least the lenses shipped!
@@stevengotz I did get it early Saturday morning and for some reason , I must have fired up the dealer as he just called me this am MONDAY and said he will have a D6 for me on Wednesday..:) I am going to be dedicating the D6 to the 120-300..:)
Thank you for your great explanations.. I made like and subscribe..
I’m from the future This was literally made when I was only one year old 😱😂 The quality of the video though is awful but hey back then this was awesome 🤣
My age 34 and first time to know what is topspin..!
It is amazing that people are still watching this video that I posted over 6 years ago. But it apparently is still relevant.
Very helpful, Sir. Even in 2020. Thanks
The 3 dislikes were your jealous friends, Sir. tutz, Keep it up.
Hi, thanks for this tutorial, do you know how I can do this in After Effects cc?
I solve it!!!! thanks!!
@ how how :3
I kept overlooking this tutorial because it was from 2013 and I thought it would be outdated. But after trying several other more recent tutorials I finally looked this one over and it worked instantly. It's the simplest , hassle free alternative to all the other ones with too many steps that can't give the simple transparent top and dark bottom graident effect I want. Thanks so much for this simple and useful gem!
thank you
Thanks- very useful video!
unhelpful just get to the point
topspin is a stupid name for it. its going to be spinning from top to bottom regardless if its spinning forward or backwards. why not just call it forward spin?
Sam Dawkins catch me saying forespin I dare you
2:18 I still can't put the hitting and brushing together when I practice my topspins with either forehand or backhand or volley. Any advice?? The ball just goes up to high or straight ahead with no top-to-down motion.
How to do this with the new Premiere 2017?
So simple. Ive been trying to figure this out for a day, thanks!
thank you!
Thanks!
You would think the linear gradient would look as good, but alas no.
