I kept overlooking this tutorial because it was from 2013 and I thought it would be outdated. But after trying several other more recent tutorials I finally looked this one over and it worked instantly. It's the simplest , hassle free alternative to all the other ones with too many steps that can't give the simple transparent top and dark bottom graident effect I want. Thanks so much for this simple and useful gem!
