im 22, got diagnosed with stage 2B Hodgkins lymphoma with a syncytial variant about 6 weeks ago. I am going through this journey completely alone and im not sure how to navigate this. thinking of you through my own journey. I know this is an old video but I hope you are doing better and things are looking up for you.

Hello guys any update

Hi Kam thank you for this. It really means a lot to me to hear other people talk about the difficulties of Los Angeles, especially from a woman. I was born in and have lived in Los Angeles all 49 years of my life, turning 50 in less than three weeks. Make no mistake about it, for people out there who want to "chase their dreams" in LA, please God go somewhere else. This place is becoming a full dystopia by the minute. There is so much wrong in not just this city, the County of LA with politics, social, economics, government services, employment, business's ability to hire is universe in itself of many, many difficulties that the rest of the country does not have to endure just based on the dynamics that Hollywood/Entertainment, and the Beverly Hills/Calabasas nonsense creates. Too much to explain. If dating is hard for ANY woman and especially in Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley, I guarantee it is at minimum triple that difficulty and in different ways for the vast majority of men here. It would take hours to articulate which none of us have. On one hand, I thank God that I never gave into any of my ex's to get married or have kids. On the other hand, I want a woman who understands that quitting the relationship the second the romantic high ends is so wrong. It is a partnership, NOT a fairy tale.... AND, understand that not everyone can have the "A Lister's" lifestyle. So much must change just with gender dynamic and dating so people can finally get back together and start building lives together. The employment situation is another dimension here that is putrid that is both directly and indirectly related to the cost of living, taxes across the board which the blue government has to keep raising to pay for MORE services for MORE people because we are a "Sanctuary City" and nobody is allowed to say it. It goes on and on. I meet people who come here all the time from other parts of the US and from other countries. If they are new, I implore them to leave. If they have been here six plus months, they blow out a tsunami of frustrations and personal/employment/living miseries that they have no idea to improve or get out of. Sorry for the ramble. Unfortunately, though, do to both an employment/personal/and elderly family situation, I just have not been able to leave... another story and believe me, I want out really bad for a long time. Its not in your head people in CA in general are rude. Also my bf had SUCH a hard time finding a job there! And when he applied back home he got a job right away. We are leaving in a month thank god! i got so stressed out here that I got health problems now but im leaving CA.

My wife was 30 when she was diagnosed with the same stage 4 as you 6 months after having our son who is 2 now. She got the usual ABVD regime in Australia and has been in remission 1 year now. She didn’t need the white blood cell booster thankfully. She took the nausea tablets as well. She went through same emotions as you. She had a pic line in her arm because she hated needles. Some studies suggest pregnancy brings on hodgkins disease/lymphoma. Sometime I think it was the chemicals in our town water supply. I also thought it was the non stick frying pans or air fryer chemicals. Happy she is healthy now. Praying everyday.

For the same reason people put down their pets when they become too much "work". Having a friend with cancer (I also had/have Hodgkin's stage 4) forces people to accept reality. Life is hard. It isn't all fun and games....but that's a drag. Their bubble & ignorance is much more fun. They weren't your friends anyways.

I am so sorry. I have been in remission with Hodgkin's Lymphoma for 4 years and went last week for my yearly scan and got a call the next day and they said the scan is inconclusive and that my lymph nodes are enlarged again. I go back for a pet scan next Monday and get results Tuesday. I'm afraid I relapse and I'm scared.

Well you look well despite what you are going through. One more session and all the luck in the world on a clear scan! Hang in there!!!!!!

Im watching this vlog while I’m getting my rituximab infusion today too lol not for cancer but I’ve been on it for years for lupus/RA…I feel the same brain fog post treatment too! I think it’s from the Benadryl they give at the beginning, Benadryl always gets me good 😂… wish you well Kam you got this!
