Pianista jakby ściągal sie z orkiestra na sile brzmienia, przez co zabrakło mi bardziej pastelowego brzmienia, bardziej pasujacego mi do Chopina. Mam takie wrazenie jakbym sluchal Czajkowskiego.

He was 18 or 19 here. Imagine being in high school with someone who could do this. Or at a university, and you're looking for an open practice room on your first day, and you hear this man playing. I would never want to leave. I'd just stay to listen.

Kholodenko deserves a far better turn out from the audience.

Check out Guillaume Sigier's performance added here on TH-cam in 2021. In my opinion, it far surpasses any performance of this sonata I have heard to date including Trifonov's.
