Sumiko's English dubbed voice is laughably bad. It's totally worth reading the captions to get the full depth of emotions portrayed by the actors. Just try to watch it with the real subtitles and not the "dubtitles".

The reason why the sub tends to be preferred is the tone of voice. The dub actors don’t put in the same effort as the originals. Still good, but doesn’t maintain the hype as well. It’s really sad. I saw the sub version with my mom in theaters, absolutely peak.

I’m noticing a distinct pattern with PEAK ASF movies that don’t make nearly enough money with the word “one” in them…
