For the first two hints I was sure it was cloud, and it felt like I had this one in the bag because he’s my main, and at the third hint I started panicking.

Was so sure it was Zero Suit until multiple projectiles.

If we are counting trophies and the like for appearances, then we can't say that 3 is too unreasonable because Viridi is in the Pit explanations. However we can go further and say that they are multiple more since Phosphora is an assist trophy and then we get to the story mode appearances.

I was able to guess it as soon as the 3rd hint. There aren't that many characters who can crawl and the only other one who fulfils the previous criteria, ZSS, was used to introduce that criteria
