Balkans 6/6: Sofia Express
I am in Europe on an epic tour of the Balkans: Serbia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. The Balkan region was ruled by the Byzantine Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Austro-Hungarian Empire and communism in different eras of history. There are different races, religions and cultures across the Balkans, which will definitely fascinate any history-loving travelers. But at the same time, the racial and religious conflicts also turned the Balkans into the powder keg of Europe.
My trip is coming to an end. After Prizren, I am returning to Sofia by bus to catch the Sofia Express, an overnight train from Sofia to Istanbul. I always love train travel - especially sleeper trains. Sofia Express is the successor to the famous Balkan Express, which unfortunately was stopped in 2013 when Turkey began constructing the Marmaray rail line connecting Europe and Asia via a tunnel under the Bosporus Strait. The service restarted in 2017 as the Sofia Express which runs once a day and is a 12-hour journey.

I went to Bhutan in 2019 but stayed in much lower-grade, comfortable hotels. Nevertheless, the scenery was as beautiful as you showed, even though the land was drier due to your visit at the beginning of Spring. I liked the introduction which clearly located your stay. Bhutan is not cheap, but English is widely spoken, and cars drive on the left. I found the food a little monotonous, but you will find it hard to beat for a quiet, comfortable and refreshing holiday. Think again if you aim to travel across Bhutan and are liable to car sickness. It has very windy roads that test your stomach.

No my dear, North Macedonia only! Haven't you heard of the Treaty of Prespa? The same goes to the somewhat confused video poster. Why do you call in your video's heading "Macedonia" instead of the correct "North Macedonia"?

@@TheLonelyUncleYour argument is totally invalid. Why not then refer to North Korea as Korea and South Korea as Korea as well? You are in breach of an international Treaty (Prespa Treaty). Why so, is the real question. And, do remember, we are neither gullible nor do we lack wits .If you think, lonely uncle, that this attitude will lead you somewhere, you are wildly mistaken. You will remain forever lonely.

Novi Sad railway station was opened in 1964. China didn't help build this section, Chinese companies China Railway International and China Communications Construction Company are building high-speed railway all the way from Belgrade to Budapest. They are not "helping" they are working for money. Why would Chinese rules apply in a Serbian train? Train was not even from China but from Switzerland.

Map of Serbia is not in according UN chapter. Serbia is UN recognized successor state of former Yugoslavia. Kosovo is actually called Kosovo and Metohija. It is administrative part of Serbia on the south border currently occupied by USA and nato forces, with 2nd largest US Army base outside USA on the planet. It is only reason you included wrong map of Serbia. Whoever thinks we can not deal with few thousands Islamic fundamentals and terrorists and criminals from Albania that are allowed to enter Serbia by nato occupation forces, is an idiot. So according to law of force, your law, your map may be correct, but according to UN SC resolution 1244, it is not. And you will soon be practically introduced to UN laws. It is a matter of time when russians deals with you over Ukraine...
