looks great but how are they fastened to the structure so they dont move
Dosent need to be since the pure weight of it is enough to keep it in place, but if u want to just add a screw or two for extra safety

Yep ... that's what I am going to build; just a question: tread width and height? I"m just going to extend the top landing to 22 inches plus making sure the the lower step is is the proper width. Thank you.

Great job. I have the karu 12 with the gas burner. I found that with the door loosely attached, which they don’t recommend, can get the oven to 900+F. Without the door the temperature maxes out at 850F. Certain models like the karu 12G and 16 can be used with the door on. However, I don’t know how well they perform with the door since the flame safety device on the burner attachment is sensitive and could turn the flame down automatically if you have poor ventilation.
The flame is turn down automatically if I put the door completely on with karu 12. This makes me think that if the same behavior isn’t on the 12G and 16, those two inherently have more air intake thus less efficient when burning wood and charcoal. Which makes sense since they beefed up the insulation on the 12G probably to compensate for that.

I don't mean to be a dick but that seems like an extremely inefficient use of a gigantic space to store only a few clamps. Stacking them would also make it easier to grab more than one clamp at a time.
I appreciate your comment, even if you think you're a dick 😂 you have a valid point! At this stage I have the empty place, and it looks visually nice with the clamps like this. Will probably take a more functional approach next time. Thanks 🙏
@@ELC.artisans I think if needed in the future you can reuse it for pipe clamps if you have some, I still haven't found a good way to store those !

I will say, after watching several of your videos, I don’t think you are a “DIY” channel. You are a Maker. There really is a big difference between the two. I tend to avoid DIY channels. But I avidly watch makers like Jimmy Diresta and Laura Kampf and many others. I just added you to my maker list. 🥰🥰 I look forward to seeing more! Now as ENCurtis says, “Go make a thing!”.

Thanks alot for thouse kind words, they sure would if your boards are dryer than mine was, but these boards was so wet that they have created a 4mm gap just for drying this summer.
nice work. question: how did you end up attaching the stairs to the ledger board?
Never attached it to the ledge board, felt that it needed to have the chance to move since wood expand, so the pure weight if the stairs is what keeps it in place and haven't moved one mm since. Thanks for the comment 👍

Have koda 16 for some time. Decent oven but stone temperature definitely is an issue. Bottom always a bit undercooked

I got one of these ovens. I never used a thermometer on it. Just go by feel. Haven’t made a bad pizza yet. You don’t need one….
If u want a ide on how hot your stone is, its a good thing to have a thermometer but nothing that is needed for the baking of the pizza ofc. however if u want to make over 20+ pizzas u kinda need a hatch/door to get the oven back up to temp fast and abit hotter than u get it without the door/hatch. thanks for your comment tho :)
@@ELC.artisans As long as you heat it for one or two scoops of pellets and add one for each pizza you can make a continuous stream of pizza's.

Not sure why your Koda doesn’t get hot. My Koda 16 is over 500c with a 30 minute preheat, no door!?!

Thank you for the kind words! Mostly used a scraper, sandpaper 120-320grid. For finish I used osmo 4060

Immediate thought is that your left hand is fighting the tool,it`s better to hold the chisel down at the tool rest.I found that changing the blanks position will usually cause vibration,such as replacing it after it came loose. Other than that a very good result!
Hi Pete, I think you are right on point regarding that I should rest the chisel on the tool rest, will have that in mind next time! The vibrations are there without any wood or chuck attached. I think it's more of a mechanical problem, will investigate further. Appreciate your valuable feedback! have a nice day!
